If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I dont think haye gonna beat any of the klitchkos imo getting floored by a damaged monte barret, what a joke.
If this fight happens its gonna be awesome seeing haye lose hopefully. even though im british hayes a cocky guy nothing humble about him. would love to see him lose.
Reasons i think hell lose.
1) Wont out box them
2) wont out power them
3) his guard is low and chin high
4) no reach or height or weight advantage
5) hell eat jabs all thru the fight with big right follow ups and doubt hell cope

cocky or confidence? in england we love a loser. we always try to instill humility, usually at the expense of self belief.
having said that I think if hayes met either klitschko he'd lose for all the reasons you mentioned. barrett technique wasn't good but he still managed to hit hayes with alarming easy. even with the wild (throw and hope) punches. all the current belt holders would expose hayes and secretly hayes knows this. I give him respect for wanting to fight the best but he needs to adapt in order to compete.

agree with everything stated above, both posts.

Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I'm a Haye fan and would love to see him beat one of them
But yes - I have to agree with the above.....:-\
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
the only way i can see Haye winning is if he went to the body only since the way Wladimer holds his jab out there he is leaving himself open for a jab body shot that Sergei Lyakovich used to be good at doing. If Haye went only to the body against Wladimer or Vitali he would have a much better chance then if he just swung for the fences for the head then he'd end up like herbie hide.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
i like Haye as a fighter , fast , powerful , possibly has dodgy chin , all the ingredients for excitement , i personally think he will get flattened by either of the Brothers Grim , but i will be watching with interest.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
Both Klitchkos will maul Haye like he's a little boy imo. I suppose he has a 'punchers chance' against glass Jaw, but nop eagainst Vitali imo.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
Either Klitschko knocks out Haye in less than 5 rounds.

That wasn't a legit KD and he was hit while he down, learn your facts before you claim something. Secondly i don't get the big deal with Wladimir Klitschko, his chin is atrocious he has one of the worst chins i've ever seen from a world champion.
Plus his stamina his very suspect and he hasn't been forced to fight, because of the opposition he has been up against. I can easily see David Haye laying out Wladimir Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko hasn't met someone as quick/powerful as David Haye since Corrie Sanders.
And look what happened ? i give David Haye as good of a chance of laying out Wladimir Klitschko, than any other Heavyweight in the division at the moment, as for Vitali Klitschko his chin i think maybe too good for David Haye and he may stop him late on. But i wouldn't count out David Haye in that one either.

Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
Seems not many people are analyzing this properly David Haye is a good boxer firstly but ended up banging yesterday. David can box, very well actually, an example of this is how every time he was against the ropes he grabbed Barret and walked him back to the center of the ring where Haye will have the advantage due to being faster than his opponent.
I really think Wlad will Panick when he gets clipped and get knocked out. Vitali however is still an unknown people are assuming it's the same Vitali that had the great fight with Lewis but we have not seen anything to indicate that.
Vitali beating up on the out of shape slow plodding Peter proves about as much as Haye beating up Barret and that is not much.
I think the fight between Vitali and Haye could be a good one and the result is not forgone.

I think Peter vs. Haye wouldn't be a bad fight either since it look like there is a gap between now and fighting either Klitschko. Peter's got a name and it would give a great opportunity for Haye to show his boxing skills.

Can see your reasonings though not sure if you actually saw the Haye fight last night as he wasn't floored so can't see how you can have an opinion on the fight when you clearly didn't watch it.

Wladimir has addressed any issues with his chin by #1 Getting up 3 times and beating Sam Peter and #2 His defense has improved by leaps and bounds.
The way people have beaten Wlad I can only see Haye winning one way and that's just by catching him flush early in a round and following up enough to stop the fight. There is no fucking way on Earth David Haye beats Wladimir the way Purrity or Brewster beat him....Haye can't take those kinds of big punches and still be there to keep fighting back.
David Haye got hit too much by Monte Barrett and Haye also left himself wide open to be countered. I think a fighter like Sultan Ibragimov would eat Haye alive right now.

Samuel Peter knocked down Wladimir Klitschko with rabbit shots not chin shots, i can't think of many flush chin shots Samuel Peter landed in the entire fight.

Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
....and that makes a difference??? Wlad got up, hurt in some cases and did the right thing vs Peter he held on til he was ok.
As for the Sanders fight, it's not as if Wlad was sparked out cold...he got hit flush several times, he just didn't take his time getting up or getting his feet back under him before he tried to fight back which is the wrong thing to do when you're hurt. You push off or hold on but either way you want to be out of "the danger zone"
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
David Haye will give both the brothers a lot of trouble that fight last night was at a lot faster pace than a fight with either of the Klits would be i think Dave would get his punches off easier.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
We wanted excitement in the HW division guys, and David Haye delivered just that. One of the more enjoyable fights I've seen in the division in a long time
Does that mean he is ready to take over the division. Not by any means. That wide open style will get him clobbered. But if he is patient, and studies his opponents well and adapts, can restrain himself and box effectively...I do think he will atleast have a chance. Just not today.

....it was a fast pace because there was no danger for Haye in that fight. Just the jabs of Wladimir and Vitali will be enough to make Haye second guess his punches and the right hands will only further clam him up until he's not throwing at all and only focused on not getting hit and merely surviving instead of applying pressure.

you know mate your prob the youngest guy on the forum but are without a doubt the most unbiased and classiest post here ;)
Rep 8)
for me Haye looked OK last night... sure he gets hit no one likes to see a boxer who don't.
Mayweather vs Baldimor
Lennox Lewis Vs David Tua
Wladimir Klitschko Vs Sultan Ibragimov
all snooze fests that i would have prefered not to have the pleasure of wasting my time watching. so this getting hit crap is just that, this is boxing folks and the guys who are stating it are the same ones that said he would get sparked at heavy ;)
will Haye beat any of the Klitschko's ? Prob Not
but hey he wants the fight and isnt looking to milk his career at heavy.
so for me well done Haye, your a breath of fresh air to the division ;)

Come on now.
Every time Haye says he delivers he does, and he will against these 2. He showed up last night in brutal fashion.
Haye fans are only 1/10th annoying of those flip Pac groupies.

Yes it makes a difference Lyle because they wern't legit knockdowns, totally different to getting knocked down legit with a shot to the chin. Wladimir Klitschko hasn't been hit on the chin since his KO losses.
And rightfully so now he is fighting defensively, which he has to do to protect that weak chin. I got no problem with it but it doesn't make for good viewing.
Lastly i think David Haye can bring Wladimir Klitschko out of his shell, i think whoever basically lands there right hand first wins the fight.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I don't think it matters at all buddy...Wlad will use the jab, use his size, and batter Haye. Wlad has the range and control to effectively shut out David Haye and I think you will all come to recognize this when Haye steps up vs better fighters.
As a heavyweight you cannot be that out of control and not get caught with a counter at some point. Monte nearly got him not that it would have done anything but you guys must realize Haye has yet to be hit by a power puncher from a guy who throws them for a living at the heavyweight division.
Haye would in all honesty just like Wlad to be on the back foot constantly moving so that he can catch him with a wild shot or tire him out. Wlad will most likely jab and move and find the opening for his right cross and then begin the destruction of David Haye....keeping Haye moving backwards and covering up
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I wouldn't mind Hay taking out Wlad, because he is very boring in and out of the ring. But Vitali is different, his fights are exciting because you know it is going to end early one way or another. I hope Haye take out Wlad, then Vitali unifies the division.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
To be honest I know Haye is vulnerable but I hope he unifies as Vit is still old and injury prone and Wlad is boring and horrible to watch Haye brings back excitement and glamour to the division.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
...all I want is for Wladimir to get credit for beating somebody but apparently that's reserved for David Haye when he fights the likes of Enzo Maccarinelli
I seriously hope Haye can be a good rival for Wladimir but in all honesty I feel that Haye is going to lose before he gets a match with Wladimir or Vitali...Haye's go for broke style isn't one that usually works for very long without setbacks
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
He's not beating Vitali
but he could get to Wlad, I don't have that hard of a time seeing that. Speed and power is the way to go against Wlad, could see him being a bit unnerved by Haye (even more holding and pawing than usual :D)
I can't help it, I have to take a shot at Wlad anytime I can. And it pisses of Lyle.
Anyway he's fun to watch win or lose, truly the anti-Wlad. Even Lyle would agree with that.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
...I'm not going to step on any toes here, I know how the Haye fans are. I hope he wins until he gets a shot at Wladimir and then we shall see what happens.
Some fans like watching one fighter and don't like watching another....I personally find (old) Ali to be boring as hell but hey to each their own
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I would never be surprised by a Haye loss, he is vulnerable. Too wild but that might not be the worst thing against Dr. Handtouch.
On the other hand unless Vitali got old overnight or got hurt he would stop Haye.
Edit-injured I mean not got hurt as in by a punch. Although I guess that would do it too but Vitali's always had a solid chin.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
If Wladmir were to beat Hay I'd still think he was boring and await the person who was going to dethrone him. I don't hate Wlad I just find him boring and unwatchable, he is part of the reason boxing is in the state it is now no one is interested in these big boring heavyweights.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
So piye you see Wlad the way a lot of people saw Lennox Lewis during his reign or Evander Holyfield during his time on top. Whatever keeps people watching the sport...either you're pulling for someone or against someone.
I always hope that Wlad goes back to throwing more punches but when he's fighting smart he is less vulnerable and he 100% controls and dominates the fight and people may find that boring but as a fan of his I like it....it's less for me to worry about but yeah I'd love to see him blast Rahman from the first second of the fight to the brutal end...but Wlad is more comfortable fighting his style....I am most interested in seeing Wladimir get KO wins when he should...even I was disappointed at the Sultan fight, but the Thompson fight looked a lot better to me but then everyone says "Thompson had no heart"....Wlad threw lots of punches, he even went to the body, he got hit a lot and he won by knockout.
Sure Haye will be exciting but he's extremely vulnerable just the way Wlad was earlier in his career. Haye will either start to fight smarter or he's going to suffer multiple losses soon.

The third knockdown? The one that would have seen him knockout Wladimer after he got up if the bell didn't save him?
Wladimer would take out Haye, because I can't see Haye trying anything but swinging for the fences

No as I have always been a fan of Lennox and his amount of exciting fight far out way the contest s where he was boring.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I specifically compared the way YOU see Wladimir to the way OTHER PEOPLE saw Lewis or Holyfield.
And plenty of people thought Lennox was boring....all I am saying is sometimes "You don't know what you've got til it's gone"
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
Haye might very well lose, but he's got a legitimate shot at either brother. Moreso Wlad than Vitali, I think. I could see him winning, but I can't see him stopping Vitali. For me, the key to the winner is mobility. The Klitschkos aren't dancemasters in the ring, but they command the space through their wingspan, ample footwork, great height, and ranginess.
Haye needs to get the bombs consistently to the detonation site, but his footwork and balance falter down the stretch. His chin will be tested, and if he doesn't have the mobility, he's screwed. We know he has the handspeed, but the hands need to get within proper range to utilize that handspeed.
-
Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
I should have said "command the ring space---ring area". I know people probably know what I meant, but I didn't want to come across as incomprehensible. :D

Oh my mistake! You are right but there is little comparison between Wlad and Lennox other than both being perceived as boring. The fact is when LEwis was atop the boxing world everyone boxing fan or not new who the heavyweight champion of the world was. this is no longer the case; the klitscho's are not to blame for this however I think for the 'glamor' division of boxing to return to greatness we need to destroy and rebuild. Which ultimately means those at the top must go and be replaced by something exciting! Something that will sell & the noon diehard can and will relate to.

Re: If Haye meets Kllitchko(s)
If Haye Fights Vitali he is basically got no chance in my eyes.
If Haye fights Wladimir its 50/50 wlads chin is no where near the level of his bro vitali
