Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I was thinking somebody big like Jameel McCline for the height and weight or Oleg Maskaev who do you guys think he should fight next while waiting for the Klits to fight the number 1 contenders?
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I'd like to see him fight Sam Peter, I think he would look great against Peter.
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
Neither of the Klitschkos just now, He is not ready.
I'm personally not sure if he would ever be.
I would like to see him fight Sultan Ibragimov or Samuel Peter next.
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
john ruiz:D
audley harrison:D
only joking
division seems really thin except for the Klitschkos, i am having trouble picking someone but as memphis said sam peter would be a good one especially if he fights like he did against Vitali

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
For deffo Sam Peter would be a good barometer for Haye to be tested against .... but needs 12 months at Heavy before going in against the special K brothers:beerchug:

Agree all the way re a test against some one big, thats a test he needs at some stage before a test against the special k brothers:beerchug:

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
Surely if he is going to fight Vitali it would be best to get him as quickly as possible.....before he gets back into the groove properly. Only one fight since he beat Danny Williams....and that wasn't exactly a tough challenge. Has Vitali already got a fight lined up? If not, he should go for it now.
As for Wlad, i just think his arse will fall out if Haye lands first. I see no reason why he can't go for them now. The longer he leaves it, the more chance he's got of being knocked out before he gets there.

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
id love to see him KO John Ruiz , but for a test id like to see him fight , Sam Peter , Rahman , or Maskev

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
He should fight Juan Carlos Gomez. I would back Gomez
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I've just watched the Khan PPV and I know people will laugh but
AUDLEY HARRISON.
Its a British fight and Harrison has good hand speed and power and if he performs could spark Haye in 3 rounds. He dominated against a good opponent is Arias and looked good after a long time out.
I see the next 12 months being good for Audley and becoming a world champ

You have eaten too much shit!!;D
Actually, some of those domestic matchups would be an easy way to generate interest and money for Haye. Especially so as most of them are
geriatric or else shot.

Why have I eaten too much shit.
Harrison is a world class operator who suffered from a confidence crisis after a couple of losses. Against Arias he showed his range of punches with power and will win a world title
Imagine at Wembley Haye vs Harrison and Audley winning with 7th round TKO

A fight between him and Haye could be very comedic. Audley is not world class though, and Haye would probably beat him. It would be funny though. I would still prefer Haye to be schooled by Toney.

I think so too Samuel Peter is a slow plodding Heavyweight who swings for the fences. And you can see his punches coming from a mile away, David Haye's extra speed would make him look like a deer in the headlights.
Even though Samuel Peter has the power to spark David Haye which is the danger. I don't think he actually hits as hard as the hype suggested, i mean who has he really stopped worth mentioning ?

You need to go to a church and confess your sins right away, Audley Harrison a world class operator ? thats blasphemy.

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
ANY former heavyweight world champion curently active.

1st of all I ain't going to any church
And yes A-Force is a world class operator, he just struggles with confidence. Against Arias there were times when he looked a true heavyweight champ
Believe me when I say the day will come when you all say Plopeater was right about A-Force

The crowd booed from the 1st round onwards.
It was like Slap-Ibragimov all over again.

Are you kidding me ? George Arias is a blown up Cruiserweight, who probably isn't even ranked top 50 in the Heavyweight rankings. The fact that he could only look decent in spurts.
Against a fighter who is tailor made for him, Short reach/Short Height/Comes Forward in straight Lines/Old.
Should actually speak volumes i can't believe your basing it off that performance. I think the real question is who in the top 20 wouldn't look good against George Arias ?
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
Haye and Audley are good friends.. ive seen them laugh at the thought of them fighting.
But even if they weren't - Audley shits his pants against fighters like Julius Francis and Dominick Guinn, there's not a hope in hell he'd step in the ring with someone like Haye.
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
fres oquendo will be good test
depends what he wants fast hands calvin brock, sultan imbrogimov
big heavy punches mccline sam peter
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I would like to see him fight; Toney, Rahman or Peter. He needs a big named fight with plenty of experience to give him trouble. I would back him to win all of the fights but he should fight someone of this type of caliber. Winable, but really good experience.

sam peter is soooo slow should be perfect for haye as long as he dont stand & brawl (which he probably would) if he kept his distance for a few rds he should be able to beat him in second half of fight

Wladdy.
Optional: Maskaev

Right Spicoli...
To me someone like McCline whos fallen off a bit even after the Mollo win.
Another good opponent for Haye would be the winner of Brewster-Seldon.

Never thought Of McCline??Might be a nice oppurtunity as far as he does in contrast to Wlad and the size factor,Good prep if talk of Wlad fight were to come off.Also..McCline looks to their for the taking ;D.
Did not even know about Seldon vs. Brewster fight.Talk about two that are hanging on.Seldon.....one of my top all time "Hey,Dummy what were you thinking" :bucktooth: picks to have a top notch career.Whoops

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
Chris Arriola or Eddie Chambers. I'd like to see him end the Arriola hype, but against Chambers, it might not be quite so easy. He wins one of these, he is ready for Wlad.
-
Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I'd like him to fight for British or European title before there's talk of fighting for a world title.
He should give himself at least a year to find his ideal weight and settle into it. I think he needs to gradually add about a stone in weight to be fully effective at heavy. Any less and he risks being bullied by the bigger guys and more and his speed and mobility will suffer.
Talk that he is ready for a world title after beating 37 year old Monte Barrett is a bit like those that said Amir Khan was ready for a world title after fighting Gomez

I dont think that's the best comparison. Haye was the undisputed cruiser champ. He's not lacking experience. Khan is still a novice.
And the British champion is the beyond shot Danny Williams. Danny struggled, and was lucky, to beat McDermott before his loss.
Skelton is fighting ancient plodder Paolo Vidoz for the European title.
The Barrett win surely surpasses anything at Brit/Euro level at the moment?
I agree it would be best to spend a while finding his ideal weight. But he seems to have propelled himself towards the top guys already.

Re: Who Should David Haye Fight Next?
I would like to see the Haymaker, fight Audly Harrison, and Danny Williams,on the same night, put both into retirement, fed up of the stinkers they both have. [ not jokeing] then take on a Klitsko, cos the rest of the heavy whts are on par with the British pair, only differance is they are the rest of the world stinkers, The heavy whts of today are the poorest ive seen in 50 years.
