So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
I am kinda dissappointed in Margarito wanted to fight such a smaller guy.
But it seems Pacman is the new cash cow.

Well Hatton would probably generate more cash for Pac, and he certainly has a better chance of winning that one imo.... Having said that I don't see Manny beating either of them.

Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Hatton has an easier chance of winning than Mayweather? What are you smoking?

I think he's saying Pac has a better chance of beating Hatton than he does of beating PBF.

Lol, yes clearly. I've been drinking though.
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
The styles only come into play to a certain extent as well. I don't believe ANYONE has a better chance of beating Mayweather than Hatton, that is pretty elementary really.
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Less then a week, and already everyone within earshot and weight is calling out PAC. Pretty obvious why.
Hatton is the smart choice. Will be surprised if it doesn't get done.
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Interesting...
Who do you think would call the shots in regards to $ and weight in a Pac vs Floyd fight??
You have the current ACTIVE P4P #1 in the World, vs the retired, UNBEATEN former P4P #1... I'm sure Pac would want the fight to be at 143 or even 140. And I think Floyd would be pushing for it to be at 147...
So who do you think has the more power in the negotiation over this fight.. Pac of Floyd?
On the Hatton topic though, I do think the fact Hatton is actually active that he deserves a shot at Pac before Floyd does.. And aside from losing to Floyd who has since retired, he does not have a single other loss..... The fact Floyd has been retired, I think Hatton does get his shot first...
So step aside Money Mayweather.. You'll have to wait a little longer for your payday and beatdown. ;D Hatton is getting his first..
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Plus I would say that Hatton vs Pac will be a definite candidate for 2009 FOTY... Both guys have a tonne of heart, good chin, relentless attack, will, skill, determination, good styles.... It'll be a war, and both are no strangers to be hanging on for dear life during a fight and continueing to battle on... I think Pac will be a little slicker and a little smarter,,,, and will just get the better of Hatton in most of their exchanges.. But either will have to earn the shit out of a win..
If it goes 12, at least 8 will be explosively exciting.. I would LOVE to see this fight.... Ever since the first time it was suggest a long while back and I pictured both fighters in the ring, it just seems like a recipe MADE for boxing fans...

Pac definitely has the power. There are a bunch of people that want to fight Pac, and several he would want to fight. There are a bunch of fighters wanting a shot at PBF, but how many of them does PBF want to fight. NONE!! This is the only fight he wants.
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Pac won't fight until June apparently so that leaves Hatton free to fight JMM or perhaps Zab before then. Whatever happens we will see some great fights in 2009. Pac holds all the aces and he will take either Hatton or Mayweather jr. Remember Hatton is the 140lb champ and Pac just might go to the UK for the biggest pay day of his career. Mayweather jr might want to bigger a slice of the pie for Pac's liking.
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
Pacman should Fight right away! he wasnt even hurt if he fights and doesnt get hurt and wins he should keep fighting to make those big millions before he retires.

PAC is a very lucky guy... Everybody wants to fight him...
ODLH
PBF
Hatton
Judah
Margarito
JMM
Guzman
etc...
They want to fight PAC coz they see him as a very beatable boxer... ;)

I am also of the belief that those who are calling Pac thinks that Pac is a beatable fighter only to be amazed at his skill when they meet in the ring.
I might as well consider Pac as currently one of the most underrated fighter;D;D;D
Honestly, I guess that's why Pac is an exciting fighter. You won't know what he will bring in the table.

Hatton wouldnt risk a potential 20mil+ on offer for fighting pac by taking such a high risk fight as these 2 would offer.
6months isnt that long a time in the world of professional boxing and id be stunned if the next time hatton/pacquiao get in the ring it isnt with eachother!!
-
Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
I agree, Hatton won't take that risk.
Hatton/Floyd/Oscar are obsessed with money, they shuld just chuck in 20m centre ring then throw the three guys in with it and watch them bite each other to death.

Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
I want to see Hatton face off against Pac because it would be monumental and a brilliant clash of styles. Mayweather should wait his turn.

Yeah! And for sure even those who were not THAT fan of boxing, would enjoy and like to watch 2 hardcore fighters go at each other... Pac and Ricky... One hell of a fight! Surely results tons of $$$$$$....;)

Exactly. Two guys who come to fight and check chins. Its big money, has a huge fanbase either side. Its quality.
PBF running and countering against either fighter is way less interesting. If Floyd wants he can have the winner, but for now let the fans have something special in the meantime.

Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
PBF will turn 35 next year. You guys think we will see the same quick cat Floyd? Same reflex, power, and stamina?

I think you're right. In fact, I know you're right. Mah bad.
But that 1 year inactivity will still affect Floyd though.

I think so and I hope so too. Floyd needs a loss on his record. He's an idiot, he will get one or two along the way.

i dont see why not
Floyds never had to work his socks off for 12straight rounds
If Hopkins can fight and dodge at 43 so can floyd!!

agree and not only that floyd loves training hes always in shape even when hes retired. and has a similar style to bhop, hit and dont get hit and both are very good inside fighters. pac is good but after 4-5 rounds PBF will eventually adapt to pacs style and turn the table.

PBF is overrated bollocks. He beats Oscar and Judah and he is god. No way, he is smoke and mirrors at these higher weights. Hatton should have taken him but had it all wrong. PBF will get taken down and Hatton may well get his chance to try again. Hatton can beat him.

A year off because they think they are god is usually enough. Floyd has not proven himself above 135 IMO. Wins over Gatti, Baldomir, Judah. Come on now. And the Oscar win was a fraud as all can see.
Hatton or Pac could get him and I think Hatton has the better chance.

he beat Ndou at 135 he was 31 with 30 kos at the time i think and he beat Corrales when he was undefeated i think and beat Castillo twice at 135. but he already beat hatton once why again and it wasnt like the fight was close either Hatton was gettin handled before PBF stopped him.

You answered your own question. And Hatton was being given a rough deal from the start. Give him a second go and its face in the chin and maul and brawl. Cortez is a disgrace and should be banned from boxing. Hatton was doing okay up until 6, but he can do a lot better. He has started the changes. He will get Floyd. If it means beating up Pac so be it.

see thats wat im talkin about he adapts if u watch how he comes in Floyd always threw that right hand in Hattons face and the same will happen again if there was to be a rematch. floyd is just a plain better boxer than Hatton is.

Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
I agree with Hatton, good for him. I think the deciding factor will be Floyd Sr. because whoever he wants to fight Pac next, he will work with. I think he will back Floyd, and abandon Hatton. Id rather see Pac-Hatton, but it will be Pac-Floyd

Ricky was also docked a point for NOTHING in a close fight up until then. Floyd cheated and Ricky wasnt given a CHANCE. Floyd is a better boxer but he is not a better fighter than Ricky. But in a rematch Ricky can always get it right and topple him. And I believe it.

Re: So Pacquiao is the Money guy now? Hatton Tells Floyd jr to back off.
i can understand how ricky would be mad if floyd comes out of retirement and takes this fight away from him, but to say that he cut him in line is kind of funny.. i mean, he's the #1 p4p in the world, and he knocked ricky out, how can you complain that the guy that KO'd you is cutting in front of you.. clearly ricky is behind floyd, regardless of his recent achievements.

At 140 Floyd is not meaningful. Hatton is, so screw that theory. Pac: Hatton at 140 makes complete sense.

how did Floyd cheat?? by beating Hatton i saw that fight lots of times and it wasnt close at all i gave hatton like 3 rnds the rest he wasnt landed nothin and was gettin outboxed from round 5 and on.
