David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
David Haye was involved in a furious bust-up at a German restaurant with Vitali Klitschko before the pair agreed terms to fight in June.
'The Hayemaker' is set to fight WBC heavyweight champion Klitschko in England - but the pair came close to starting their big scrap early during negotiations for the showdown.
Haye's manager Adam Booth revealed: "David tossed a copy of a magazine across the table with him dressed up as one of the characters from the Reservoir Dogs film holding Wladimir's head.
"When Vitali saw it he just lost the plot, jumped up and grabbed David by the scruff of the neck and started yelling at him that he would pay for it."
Haye's plan is to beat Vitali to set up a clash with his brother Wladimir to decide the world's undisputed world heavyweight champion.
He said: "I have already riled the boys.
"Wladimir's fight with Hasim Rahman was just boring. A Mike Tyson would have eaten him up in three rounds and spat him out. That is exactly what I am going to do with the lame Klitschkos."

The mouthy bastard is going to get a title fight that he's not worthy of but at the same time he will get the ass whipping that's long over due;D

LOL, they apparently have read the "attempt to build interest in a fight through contrived pre-fight drama" textbook and are following it letter by letter.

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
hahahaha
Vitali is pissed off bigtime;D;D
FURIOUS heavyweight king Vitali Klitschko insists he will fight David Haye with a “cold heart” after a row over a mock-up photograph.
“The Haymaker”, who is due to take on Vitali for the WBC world heavyweight title next June, angered his Ukrainian opponent after being pictured holding the decapitated head of his brother Wladimir.
Haye made the “gesture” in a magazine photoshoot just hours after watching Wladimir defend his WBO and IBF world title against Hasim Rahman on Saturday, and now faces a backlash from Vitali, who accused Haye over “overstepping the mark.”
“I was shocked with what I saw in the magazine and my wife even felt unwell,” he said. “I came to David of course and said that it was too blatant and that he overstepped the mark. But, as a response, I got the words that he would beat my brother and then me.
“I will reply for my brother. He must pay for this photo. I seldom feel inclined to fight but, this time, I will enter the ring with a cold heart.”
Meanwhile, Vitali’s manager Bernd Boente has confirmed the fight will take place in London – possibly even at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.
“We agreed to do the fight next summer in London,” he said. “It could take place at Wembley, but maybe it’s too big. I’d personally prefer Chelsea. I’ve been there a couple of times and I’m a fan.”

Well on paper it sounds like Haye got him all hot and bothered but I'm sure in reality David just looked like a dumb retard.
Let's go back to his airport 'showdown' with Wladimir earlier in the year.
Wlad just made Haye look like Charlie Zelenoff standing there trying to look tough whilst being about 4 inches shorter, with Wlad towering over him and looking upon him like a police offficer looks down on a 12 year old kid caught shoplifting who threatens to 'do him' if he tries to arrest him.
Just as soon as the officer would give the boy a clip round the ear and throw him in the back of the police car so Wlad or Vitali will give Haye a nice quick pounding and send him back to his corner where Adam Booth and his trainer can help put him back on his stool.

The fight is already a certainty, the goading just adds to the money that will be made.

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
I wouldn't want to be in Haye's shoes right now. He just came up from cruiserweight fought Monte Barrett who I believe wasn't in the top ten in any of the organizations. He did do away with him but in my opinion with many mistakes. Now he is calling out the big dog's and worst of all their both pissed now. This man is seriously going to get hurt and I can't wait. Another loud-mouthed shit talking heavyweight wannabe champion falling to the canvas in front of the 30 to 35 thousand fans in England. This will be beautiful. Now if only we can get Toney to fight Wladimir in the U.S.

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
There is a good chance Vitaly just out right Murders Haye in the ring...
But WTF at least during the services it can be mentioned in the Sermon "He managed to get under the skin of the brothers grimm"
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
At least there's some excitement in the Heavyweight division. Even though it's outside of the ring.
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
I think it's great, probably the best fight you could make at Heavy right now. And how can you really still criticize Haye? The guy has a mouth fine but he IS fighting Vitali in his second fight at the weight, he's certainly putting all the chips down and that deserves respect. I have a really hard time seeing how he can win it, he'll probably have some success early being faster and much more mobile, if he is smart and darts in and out he could land on Klit and win some rounds imo.. But does anyone actually see him either hurting Vitali or holding up over 12 rounds without getting caught repeatedly later on? Vitali is so much more durable and will be much stronger than anything Haye is used to. IF he could do it though it would be a great win and breath some air into the division for sure. Wlad proably wouldn't even want anything to do with someone who beat his big brother, that's not the way it works.
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
Vit will tear him a new one. Fair do's to Haye for chasing the brother with a chin, shows he's really trying to prove a point, doubt he'll be able to do it but entertaining nevertheless.

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
Haye just wrote a check that will be cashed out of his ass....David Haye is going to be off of solid food for a while so I suggest all his British fans chip in and buy him some straws and sippy cups
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
The hype machine has started. Roll on June.
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
David Haye will win.......hopefully.

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
I gotta give Haye credit, he has balls for going for Vitali first.

I love your nieve optimism when you hint that Haye may actually be able to fight again after Vitali :D

I just watched David Haye vs Monte Barrett . So this is the man who is going to beat a Klitschko? LOL LOL I don't see it.

Cliff Couser finished Barrett quicker than Haye. Yes. Cliff Couser. :lolhaha:

Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
This is the first time i have been remotely excited by the Heavyweight division since Vitali v Lennox:cool:
Gotta love what Haye's done and he'll wind Vitali up more and more as the months go on;D
Can't wait too see what he comes up with next hahaha
I hope this will be a repeat of Ali v Liston where the brash young gun takes the title off the boring one;)
History repeating...?
Hope so and how will will Vitali fight if he's fighting on anger and not his usual "YAWN" controlled self?
Gonna be such an occasion this, can't wait!!!!
HAye at the very least deserves the respect of the boxing world for saving the Heavyweight division and livening it up at last!

I think your confusing Vitali with Wladimir?
How can Vitali be boring when he took the Lewis fight on 2 weeks notice and soaked everything Lewis had and had Lennox ready to drop only for a cut to stop him be considered boring, he wan every fight since by stoppage as well and just came back after 3 years out to humiliate and batter Peter;D
I think Haye has made a big mistake, hes just made Vitali fired up and motivated, consider the Peter fight a nice warm up for Vitali to shed his rust, now he can get back in the groove and go hammer and tong on Haye;D

Cliff Couser finished Barrett quicker than Haye. Yes. Cliff Couser. :lolhaha:
Based on this statement you are also saying Cliff Couser is better than Wlad? As Haye finished Barrett off quicker than Wlad..
Give the guy a break.. he's not coming into the division and taking on all the bums then claiming superiority like most people do. He's going after the best. He has undeniable power, he's alot quicker than most heavyweights and he brings some excitement into the division with his personality (Whether it be amusement or dislike, he brings attention to the division..). I think he'll beat wlad pretty easily but Vitali is another question..

There is one factor everyone is forgetting about Haye beating Wlad, you got to bring ass to get ass.

#1 Wladimir fought Monte Barret waaaay long ago in 2000....back when Monte only had 1 loss, a split decision to Lance Whittaker. Since the loss to Wlad, Monte gained momentum almost beating Joe Mesi and beating Guinn and then he got beat by Rahman, Valuev, and Couser.
#2 David Haye is waltzing into a division and just claiming his dominance after beating a journeyman...Haye has never even gotten close to fighting a contender much less a title holder.
David Haye doesn't have a shot at either Klitschko...Wlad would brutalize him.
I love that all you Haye fans are now excited about the division just because there is some loud mouthed prick out there trying to fight the best without earning a shot......Audley Harrison keeps talking, you guys aren't happy he's still around???
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
I'd think you'd be happy to see David Haye making a lot of noise and attracting attention Lyle. I mean, he is bringing fans and attention to a division that needs it...and if Vitali knocks his head clean off, with all the hype leading into it, I would think that would help legitimize the Klitschko's to the general boxing public.
I think it is win win for the HW division. I too don't think he is ready for Vitali and will lose...but I think the HW division is ready for him.
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
YoungBlood, I think you expect that when Vitali KO's Haye that it will mean that Vitali will get respect... that sadly is not the case.
Haye fans will make excuses for him, "he wasn't ready yet" etc.
If David Haye worked his way up to a title shot THEN Vitali would get credit for hammering him into the canvas...but that's not the case.
-

Audley has never fought anywhere remotely close to top opposition and has never hinted at wanting to, yet continues to run his mouth as if he is something special..
David Haye runs his mouth but he has fought top opposition in cruiserweight and dominated that division (despite what the typical fanboy says). he has also made his intentions clear from the start he wants to go for the best.. That's why I like him.
You talk about Haye not earning a shot yet Vitali gets straight into a title fight after a 4 year absence? Rahman gets a title fight after a win over someone with 8 wins, a win over someone with 12 loses, and a no contest with Toney.. hardly what I call title shot deserving.
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
#1 Vitali was named WBC Emeritus Champion therefore giving him the shot
#2 Rahman only fought Wlad because Povetkin got hurt and Wlad wanted to keep the date and Rahman was I guess the only guy willing to step up. Also out of respect for Rahman being so cool about when Vitali hurt his back he was given a chance to earn some big money.
If you want David Haye to damage his career then fine by my, all I'm saying is Evander Holyfield prepared himself to fight for titles and once he got to his title shots he won....we'll see what Haye does
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
I'am a Haye fan i respect he wants to take on the best and he is doing by fighting Vitali. But i would be in total disbelief if he was to win.

So what your saying is that you rather have the Klitschko's fight weak no name opposotion the rest of their careers.. I mean I think haye is more legitimate than Valuev, since you have made it known he is a bum and Arreola who would probably knock himself out with his own man boob..
Haye is the best option, though I will say it was nice knowing David because Vitali will absolutely demolish him, Vitali is to strong to durable and just plain superhuman in the chin..I honestly think Haye is banking on Vitali getting injured and saying he would of fought and beat Vitali if he was healthy, because there is no way in hell Haye puts a dent in Vitali Klitschko
I still feel Haye sparks Wlad out, beating an old Rahman shows absolutely nothing in terms of Wlad, he remains still untested against a fast nimble figher with just as solid as a punch as he has
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
The Klitschkos have not dodged anyone and many of the last few fighters W has faced were in the ring top ten when he KO'ed them. V came out of retirement and took on the number 2 HW and made him quit.
There is no way Haye KOs either brother...Once he feels the thuding jab and one right cross he is going to shell up a bit and take a nice beating over the next 4-5 rounds until he catches one on the chin....and then it's good nite sweet heart well its time to go......
I have no problem with Haye getting a shot at either brother, I mean he did prove himself at cruiser...I just feel by him taking this fight he will have a short lived career...
I rewatched the Peter and Rahman fights and those jabs the brothers throw have to be some of the hardest jabs ever thrown....
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
oh man is haye crazy or stupid? ;D
I think haye is full of it, if he thinks going after vitaly right away is a smart move then he needs to have his head check. his just going to look like a loudmouth after vitaly knock his ass out and then whats next for his career? Haye should seriously considering pulling out of this fight, his going to have a reality check when his in the ring with vitaly. It wont be pretty and he will learn the hard way. I think Haye is just despret for attention, his an ok fighter but his not that impressive. oh well its always nice to see a loudmouth get pummel by a cool guy like vitaly
-
Re: David Haye and Vitali Klitschko in restaurant bust-up
Haye is gonna get pounded into a bloody pile.

What I am saying is that Haye needs to be prepared when he fights Vitali or Wlad just because if he isn't (and he isn't) then he's no different than the so called bums you're talking about although those guys bar Rahman earned their shots. The Klitschko's don't duck anyone....look at the guys fighting for the WBA belt, THOSE GUYS duck everyone with a pulse in the division......Valuev, Ruiz, Chagaev, Holyfield....those guys don't stand a chance in the real world
