Im sick of this pandering to what the US audience wants. Its a fight between a Brit and a Filipino. Both huge fighters on their own terms.
Sure money is important. But the chance to sell out a stadium and make a real event would be magnificent. And it could never happen in the states with any fighter.
And the real US fans who enjoy boxing, which would likely be the Americans that follow or know Hatton and Manny, would most likely pay anyway to watch it at a slightly irregular hour.
The Klitschko's can do it. Why can't Hatton?? :confused:

They are completely reasonable times to watch a fight you are interested in. I have to watch fights between 10am and 1pm where I live. I watch them all (except for the bloody Toney fight) because I love boxing. Don't know why Arum said "5am".. American TV has been happy with 1-2am plenty of times in the past.. Bruno-Witherspoon, Calzaghe-Lacy, Hatton-Tsyzu, Haye-Enzo.. But if the fighters will earn the same/more dough in Vegas then that's where they'll do it.

If the fight happened in London/England/Britain it would do HUGE ticket numbers.. numbers that would piss all over the 15,000 Vegas casino numbers.

At any rate, both PAC and Hatton have phenomenal draws, BUT Hatton's fans are more likely to spend money on seats and PPV's. From what I have seen PAC has a rabid audience that streams fights, that's cool but ultimately this is business and dollars talk. This fight should be held where the most money can be made. In my estimation the UK would make the most sense financially, of course PAC being the #1 p4p fighter in the world should have the ability to call the shots on this deal. Both guys have lots of opportunity in other fights but neither can expect a bigger payday from what they can give each other.

No way..Hatton is the biggest crowd puller in Boxing at present end of!
30,000 fans travelled half way across the globe to watch the Floyd fight with 22,000 knowing full well they wouldn't even be in the venue.
Can Pac say that? NO..nowhere near and Hatton holds the record for the fastest sell of a fight and that was around 45-50,000 within an hour or so.
Unheard of anywhere else or with any other current fighter.
These are facts Dax and it should be at Wembley 100%.

Would be criminal if such a Huge fight was lost in a shitty 16,000 people arena in a desert,when we could have nearly 7 times that in one of the the worlds top venues (I've been to the new Wembley and it is an amazingly vast venue that would be brilliant full up with fight fans)
I'm sure with all the money generated the promoters could fix up a big canopey that covers far more are than just the ring apron and the rest is under cover anyway so the weather is no problem at all in my eyes!!

This would sell out Wembley Stadium easy, & they could even do it like a football match & initially set aside a specific amount of tickets for Pac fans, & whatever was left over put back on general sale. For me this should be in either the Phillipines or London, whichever makes the best financial sense. That 90% chance of rain is bollocks in early May, its actually about 70% max, speakin as sum1 whos lived here my whole life & there are ways round the weather anyway. The roof can close to cover the entirety of the seating area & i'm sure they could find a way to cover both the ring & the ringside seats. Also all Pac fans who would travel to see him fight would do so just as easily in London as they would in the US. There is also a decent sized & generally economically wealthy phillipino community in or around London, which Pac could generate support from, as well as those Brits who hate Hatton (and yes there are a fair few even if I ain't 1 of em) who may come in the hope of him getting beat.
Hatton is the champ, Pac is the challenger. I think that speaks volumes for where they should fight.
I am American...i'd like it here, cuz I'm greedy., But this fight could generate more revenue in England, seriously. Pac is not having any trouble with popularity. He is almost a household name at this point, imho.
Hatton will lose. I'd like to see him win, but I just don't think it will happen, unless Mayweather Sr can get rid of some stinky habits he's holding onto. He could get seriously exposed by Pac.

Pacquiao was quoted as saying he has no objections to Wembly, as he loves boxing fans all over the world, regardless of race and boxer preference. I think he believes in the saying, the more the merrier, plus he has never fought in England.
