Just checked the betting odds today at Ladbrokes and PACQUIAO is installed at -275 odds while Hatton at +200 ...

Can you give the reasons why PACQUIAO is the betting favorite? Here's mine...
- PAC has a better resume
- PAC is the no. 1 P4P boxer
- PAC is the no. 1 boxer at 140 lbs. division (according to BoxRec ;) )

Timing beats speed, Hattons kind of a wildcard he looked real good against Paulie. I would put some money on him at those odds, if I was a betting man.

Saying that Pac vs Hatton is now a very interesting fight. Hatton has the potential to maul him but Pac does have the speed and often punches from angles. No doubt it'll be a cracking fight.

The odds are based on how bets are placed so that the house will always makes money.
Pacquiao is favored based comparing his last two fights, first by totally dominating Diaz and then total destructing of De la hoya against that of Hatton's loss to Mayweather Jr. his lack of confidence in is outing against Lazcano and win against Malignaggi. And then you compare P4P Ratings Pacquiao is on top of the list. I think another important factor that people consider who to bet on, is Roach vs Mayweather Sr.
Nothing about this fight is going to be easy for eather fighter.... that you can bet on! If eather fighter takes it easy, they are going to get the sh*t knocked out of them.
Hatton had better train hard if he expects to have a chance to use his skill against Pacquiao. And Pacquiao has to train hard to make sure he can survive Hatton's body attacks. There isn't any weight advantage either fight can use in this bout. Both fighters have proven punching power. Pacquiao has a speed and outside boxing advantage while Hatton has the inside boxing advantage. This fight is either a seesaw battle or is one sided one. If Hatton can slow Pacquiao down with good body shots then he can take the fight by OK. If Pacquiao can keep Hatton from getting too close he should be able to out box Hatton and OK by the 10th.
I would expect the odds, as the fight draws near, to get closer than 2:1 due to the camp watch and boxing experts analysis.
I can undertsand why Pac would be the betting favourite by the public but the money may start to shift when people look into it a bit deeper.
I make Ricky favourite and his win will surprise afew people, especially the Yanks. However a win here doesnt make Hatton p4p number 1 just as if John Ruiz beat Jones he wouldnt be p4p number 1

Pacquiao will school Hatton. Im just not impressed with Hatton. Im not sure why Malinaggi's corner threw in the towl, it wasnt like he was on his way down or anything. If you look at both fighters wins, Pacquiao's wins against Barrera, Morales, JMM, Oscar are much better than i can say for Hatton. Bookies also need to protect their asses in the event of either fighter winning.. They may be having a HUGGGE rush of bets on Pac and need to even up the money in the even that Pac wins.. So they are trying to entice people to put money on Hatton... So that could be something to do with it..Quote:

Those are fantastic odds on a Hatton win. Gambling is illegal out here so I rarely bet on anything, but Im definitely going to send a little bit home and ask good old Mum to place a little bet for me. I think Hatton has a real shot at pulling this one off, those odds are a little bit silly. Its one of those special fights IMO, definitely worth a bet, win or lose.Quote:

Anyway I expect the odds to be pretty much even come fight night in Vegas. A shed load of Brits over there for the fight will be laying a lot on Hatton, many other Pinoys doing the same for Pac.
