Before Lyle gets here to mention Haye's chin, i'd like to remind him not to forget Lolenga Mock, the SUPERMIDDLE that floored Haye.

about 4 years too late for James. Haye may learn a lot tho.
Could be a better option for Haye maybe.. no doubt he'd win the fight, but perhaps he'll learn a few things along the way, and even take a solid shot or two on the chin. Maybe after that he can knock Wlad out.

And there I was bemoaning Toney last week for not stepping it up again. I think it is a better fight for Haye because a single fight with Barrett is really no tune up for Wlad. And being a Toney fan, its of course of keen interest to me.
Part of me wants Toney to just give it a rest, especially after almost being shown up by Oquendo of all people. But I would be delighted if he could string together a couple of performances starting with Haye.

Well as it says in your Sig Lefty, Wlad can't hide forever and at least it gives Haye a bit more experience at the weight before he becomes the man to beat in the division.

Toney was 100x the fighter Haye is, but at 40 years old and after 80+ fights Haye should beat him fairly easily. Haye wont gain much by beating him at this point though imo. He has a lot more to lose..

Haye told setanta last thursday that it was pretty much in wlads camp now and that if any fight was to be made it would have to be done by this weekend otherwise he would go looking elsewhere.

The fight is going to happen, apparently at the O2 arena. Emanuel Steward says he was phoned by Frankenstein Junior last night and asked what size the ring should be. So it sounds like the contract is almost done.

I'm not even going to bother listing the amount of title holders (plenty of them not even close to being undisputed Champion...) who have went on to immediately secure title fights in higher weight classes.
You can say what you want about the Cruiser Weight Division but the Heavyweight division isn't exactly much better... What Haye has done at cruiser Division deserves a lot more respect than what you Klit nut huggers are prepared to give him.
What do you expect him to do? Fight real contenders like Arreola, Chambers or Peter? That's like a guarantee L right there. It would ruin every thing. Haye can't have that.Quote:

We boxing fans (and I include myself) are an impatient bunch. If Haye is a bonafide good HW, a match with Wlad will materialize soon enough. If Haye hits a bump in the road along the way, then it wasn't meant to be. Personally, I'm rooting for a Wlad-Haye matchup somewhere down the road, if not now.

Hows he undisputed? Vitali and the freak have two major belts and Wlad has the other one (I still don't regard WBO yet) so to me he is far from undisputed, but if you talk about the best i'd say Vitali is head and shoulders above Wlad and had the fight between him and Haye materialised I think Haye would probably have lost, but as it's Wlad that looks more likely I think that Haye will win a version of the HW championship and if he can let Vitali age a bit more he'll soon have the chance to take him out too as he'll be too old.Quote:

We've never seen Haye take a punch from a power punching heavyweight, we haven't seen Haye fight a top 20 heavyweight yet, we haven't seen him last 10-12 rounds with a heavyweight, and we haven't seen Haye show defense vs a heavyweight either.
I would like to see Haye vs a bigger heavyweight, someone 6'5-6'6 who knows how to box or is just a dangerous puncher. There is a long list of fighters Haye can fight and prove himself against before getting a shot at Wlad

No way is Barret considered number 5 at heavyweight by the ring or in any credible list
Tony Thompson, Arreola, Both Klitschko, Peter, Ibragimov, Valuev, Chagaev, Povetchkin, Chambers, Witherspoon, and probably Holyfield amongst others would all be ranked higher than him, and are all better than him.
Andrew Golota is out there for Haye to fight, if he wanted to impress somebody he could have at least fought someone who USED TO BE somebody in the division. David could fight Sam Peter, Lamon Brewster, and the way Haye likes eating right hands I would even feel good if he fought Hasim Rahman and won.....I would feel better of his chances than him just jumping in vs Wladimir.Quote:
