Re: +The Champions League Thread +
Can't beleive we didn't get atleast one goal in this game.We were allover milan. Should have subbed Berba at half time he was pretty lazy and in bad position for a few top chances.... Unlucky getting mounted when ronaldo practically put it on a plate in the second half.
Good Job from the ref for the most part and fairly entertaining game. should set us up very nicly at Old Trafford.

The game at Old Trafford is set up nicely now, but il be honest i think Inter were there for the taking tonite, we played the wrong tactics imo, he would of buried them on the counter attack with our pace but we played one up front and Park is a great work horse but offers nothing in the final third Rooney should of started and with our pace play 4-4-2 and im sure we would of carved that Inter defence to shreads, bit to negative for my likeing hope it doesnt come back to haunt us.
Also i felt Barba wasnt to bad just a bit to isolated at times, i think if we play positivley we should have to much for Inter.
-
Re: +The Champions League Thread +
should of been at least 2 up by half time, Berba is a lazy git 4 sure, i did see him tackle sumone but think that was by accident. jose was a very lucky man & if inter play like that at old trafford it should be an easy night for the red devils

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
Well it seems that Gerrard is going to start the match on the bench...that isn't a good sign for Liverpool especially considering how hot Real Madrid have been. Here's the Liverpool side: Reina, Aurelio, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Riera, Benayoun, Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, Kuyt. Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyypia, Gerrard, Lucas, Babel, Ngog.
So outside of Gerrard they have NO help off the bench....maybe Dossena but if we get down it's not going to look pretty.
I want the following players to leave Liverpool and never come back: Dirk Kuyt, David Ngog, Lucas Leiva, and Ryan Babel

He should have been gone a while ago IMO...his coaching style doesn't lead to consistent play

Lyle keep the faith.

Met a Evertonian season ticket holder the other day, she was beautiful. Anyway she said she preferred Man Utd to Liverpool and admired Alex Ferguson. Shocked. She did acknowledge that she supported Liverpool when they were 3-0 down against AC Milan as she felt sorry for them.

Hahaha!!
Quite suprised by the level of play by the teams in europe, Inter considering they have dominated Italian football for last couple of years dont look that great, Madrid another shokcing performance, i dont think they would of scored against Liverpool if they played that game for a month, Diarra what a waste of fucking money.
English clubs look the force again with Barcelona they are the only place i see the trophey going.
I think if w3e go through we will get an English club were due one id love it to be Liverpool ;D

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
On another note Liverpool had a great result today hahahaha, i think there lcuky Arsenal are shocking at the moment or they would be struggling to stay in the top 4.

I just don't get it.
They beat Real Madrid and then lose 2-0 vs. Middles...
??? WTF?

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
It baffles me Mick, i think a bit of a hangover today maybe a trip away after putting in a great effort in Spain??
But saying that they have done this all season against rubbish teams i mean Mboro have scroed one goal in 12 games before today, shame really i would of liked to see a better run in looks like this could be great for United as we can now rest a few more players in the league and concentrate on europe and the cup comps.

It's Rafa ....Gerrard and Kuyt were the strikers, we played 3 center backs AGAIN, and of course Alonso had an own goal.
Ryan Babel might not be able to put the ball away as well as Gerrard but Steve is a box to box player and you can't take that ability away from him or put him in a position where he has to work harder especially when he's coming off an injury anyway.

Also your squad is quite average Liverppol have a few injurys and it shows.

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
....we wouldn't be "quite average" if Rafa knew how to use Keane instead of giving him up.
Keane would have been majorly effective had Gerrard gone down or needed a rest....granted he should have started every damn game anyway but maybe that's just my view.
I also think Voronin could have played a good role up front if given the chance.
We just moved the wrong players to be honest....Kuyt and Babel don't help out as much as Crouch and Voronin could have

Craig Bellemy maybe someone else you let go to soon playing some good stuff this year.

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
Eh, I was never much impressed by him....fast little fella but he never did much. He was kind of another Jermaine Pennant.
I miss Sissoko though...I know he was too good to sit on the bench but God Leiva is soooo bad. I want to check his birth certificate because I don't believe anyone that bad at soccer could possibly be Brazilian
-
Re: +The Champions League Thread +
Sissoko was having a shocker and lost a lot of confidence and Mascherano is better.
Kuyt gets goals which Crouch and Voronin can't.
We have blown the league losing against Middlesbrough.

Id rather have Crouch Bellamy and Keane ahead of Kuyt up front all score more goals than him, but all them three i suppose couldnt hold down a regular place so they wanted out.

Crouch scored 40 goals in 135 games for Liverpool only 91 of them from the start so nearly one in two is not bad.

Re: +The Champions League Thread +
I saw Kean against Preston and he missed 3 clear chances, he was shite for the reds and a liability.

I totally disagree you cant expect to judge a player over 5 months with him on the bench half the time, treated unfairly for me he scores in consecutive games then was dropped for the Newcastle game, you cant do that to a striker in form i think Keane knew was not wanted from day 1 Keane is a class player.
-
Re: +The Champions League Thread +
He is a good player but sometimes it just will not work, remember Forlan, a good player but missed sitters for Utd, it happens and Rafa makes the changes quickly before it is too late.

Before its to late?? To late for what? Mate Bentiez has bought some strikers and just deosnt give them time, you fail either way, since Keane left you have been shit.
