I'm undecided and didn't take a pick in their recent fight but after watching that fight, I'm now picking Khan to win again against Barrera... Khan just too fast and bigger than Barrera... He also has youth and stamina on his side...
Khan also has thicker, tougher skin...
I dunno if Barrera willing to fight Khan again in UK...
.
Is this a non Pac thread? :-\
Barrera would KO him in the rematch. Fact.
Ive changed me mind.
I'm undecided about whether it will be a draw or a no-contest or a DQ.
Add those options please.
I still think Khan will eak out a decision where he's pushed hard late, but that doesn't mean I don't think MAB was robbed of his opportunity on Saturday.
It's OK.
I'm back to Barrera KO. In round 1. Fact.
Khan by late tko.Khans speed is way to fast for Barrera at this stage in his career.Barrera mite not be hurt bad but i see him been over whelmed by the fast hands of Khan.
I think MAB is abit like Hatton, where he is that bit to small for the weight above, and Barrera found that out by fighting Khan imo.
I think Khan wins again.
Barrera is simply way past it imo.
I think people are being too hard on Barrera and overrating Khan too much on the back of this "win". Most fighters would win rounds against an opponent with an injury like that.
Barrera still sparks him.
oh what the hell I'll play. I'll stick by Barrera based on these facts. A one eyed Barrera despite being not a natural lw was able to stiffen the legs of Khan. Khan never hurt him. Khan will also go in to the rematch ultra confident & therefore be confident on engaging. Barrera by late tko as the first fight should have been.
You could look at it like that.
But the truth is we were not given the opportunity to see what was left in the tank, Khan was able to "sparkle" in the most fortunate of circumstances.
As far as I'm concerned this past fight is not a proper means of judging how a rematch would go. I've always maintained Khan would start quickly and win the early rounds and that was made far easier by the cut.
5 rounds and a bloodbath is no barometer by which we can say Khan has Barrera's number.
I know that Khan won that fight but as far as im concerned it was a NO CONTEST. It should of been stopped before it went to the scorecards.
I also think it was Barreras decision to carry on, especially after watchin the bombs he was throwing in the last round like he new he had that 1.
But i honestly think Khan would of gone on to win that fight anyway so I will say Khan would win a re-match. I even think it wouldnt of gone the distance, Khan was too quick and too big, he was quick enough with a long enough reach to be in, do some damage and be out before Barrera could do anything.
Im sure Barrera could of worked something out to stop that happenin so much and give him some trouble but not enough, he wouldnt of been dropped by Khan but the ref would of ended the fight in the later rounds.
And jsut to make a point i base all that on the 1st 2 minutes of the fight cuz everything after the cut i dont really count.
I would favor Khan coz MAB isn't getting any younger.
Hard to say really im undecided Khan did well to win but then he was fighting a Barrera who had blood gushing in his eye from round 1 onwards the cut was unreal a rematch wouldnt be a bad idea.
Khan would win in a one sided fashion and people would wish Barerra had just stuck with the NC so he could at least stay in the big time picture. Why do people want to see Chavez DLH II? Or at least a poor mans version of it.
It was said best on Beyond the Glory with Oscar, he couldn't make Chavez's fans love him.
So what does it prove for Khan to get a rematch and beat Barerra making him look even more past it then that fight did? So people will take credit again and say Barerra was past it?
Khan wins this by a wide margin. Can't see him stopping Barerra late unless it was on cuts, by a punch.
What would be different in the rematch? barerra can't outbox or impose his will on Khan. He can't hope to counterpunch him because yeah, people say Khan's punches landed on Barerra's gloves, but at the same time at least Khan was throwing, he would throw a combination and whether or not they all landed Barerra rarely if ever got off an answer to them.
So you can complain about Khan throwing punches that land on the gloves but it's not like Barerra returned a combination that landed anything either.
Barerra's only chance is to stop Khan with one shot. And Khan has showed that he can deal with a Barerra thats going for broke trying to KO him.
But even after Khan wins the rematch he won't get any credit whatsoever anyway
Definatly Khan with the same gameplan back up when Mab wants a fight and just overhwhelm when he wants a rest. Not enough left in the tank IMO.
Same thin as the first fight
Barrera KO about the 6th round
