Donaire-Martinez is also a good fight... Martinez is undefeated...

I'm really looking forward this event.

Re: Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire vs. Raul "The Cobra" Martinez
This is a great card. Really looking forward to Donaire/ Martinez! I'm picking Martinez to pull the upset, I just hope he ain't robbed! Solis/ Viloria is also a great match-up, I'm interested to see how Viloria looks but imo Solis will just be much better! I also heard that Cuello was in talks to face Muhammad Rachman (before the Matsumoto fight was signed) which would have been a huge step up but also would have shown what he's got...
-
Re: Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire vs. Raul "The Cobra" Martinez
I see Donaire-Martinez looking like John-Jaurez. With Martinez winning but some how Donaire getting the win. Viloria is one of Boxing's biggest underachievers. The talent is there. But I don't see the want. Solis I think will take him out late.

If you're in San Jose, California, it says the fight card starts at around 6pm Pacific Time (9pm Eastern)... Livestream?? We'll see on fight night...

Re: Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire vs. Raul "The Cobra" Martinez
this is nonitos night event, he'll stop martinez with no problem. martinez is a good hand picked oppenent for this event.
Viloria vs solis should be good, i think solis can bring the fire out of viloria. Viloria has power but he has to let it out, solis will bring it out of him.

Martinez, Solis in Manila!
US challenger Raul Martinez and Mexican champion Ulises Solis have arrived in Manila in time for their April 19 fights at the Araneta Coliseum. Martinez challenges Nonito Donaire for the IBF flyweight title, while Solis defends his IBF light-fly belt against Brian Viloria...

Donaire defeated "Cobra" Martinez before in amateur competition... Well, this is the pro ranks now but I still expect Donaire to defeat Martinez once again...
I also pick Viloria to defeat Solis...

Pro and amateur are almost 2 different sports. As long as he doesn't get knocked out there is no way Donaire loses. The judges won't allow it. Martinez must go for the knock out.
Solis I'm almost positive will dominate the always listless Viloria. Similier to the way he did Donaire

Martinez should go for a convincing win... ;) I still consider Viloria a better boxer than the younger Donaire...

Martinez could dominate Donaire and still lose if the fight goes to the cards. He needs a knock out.
Viloria has talent. There's no denying that. But he doesn't have the heart to be great. Have you seen some his recent bouts? He looked horrible against Javier Lagos and Cesar Lopez. He fights like that against Solis and he won't see 12.

Going for the KO is not a good mindset... Don't advise your boxers to go for it... I would not be surprised if it's Donaire who will eventually score a KO if that's the mindset of Martinez...

Re: Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire vs. Raul "The Cobra" Martinez
Donaire will surgically tear Martinez's body and soul apart.
But I don't know about Villoria defeating Solis though. Brian seems to get more discourage everytime he notice he's behind scorecards. But I heard he improved a little bit after those losses with Omar "crackhead" Nino.

i wouldn't be surprised to see Donaire win, but honestly i'm not sold on him yet, yea he beat Darchinyan and beat him brilliantly but what has he done since then, nothing really, IMO he got lucky that the fight with Montiel fell through cause i think Montiel would destroy Donaire and quite easily at that

Montiel before moving up was the true champ at Super Flyweight, Nonito is at Flyweight, he would have been beaten badly, and even you can't dispute the fact that Donaire's opposition since his win over Darchinyan has been mediocre

Donaire was supposed to fight Montiel in this card but they ran into some promotional problems or maybe Montiel can't make super fly anymore and that's why Montiel moved up to bantam... Let's just wait for Donaire vs. Montiel to happen... ;)
Donaire defeating "Cobra" Martinez will be a very good accomplishment IMO... Donaire's win over Maldonado and Mthalane were also good accomplishment for me...

KO after KO after that Darchinyan win by Donaire. And Martinez is his next victim.

it took both Darchinyan and Donaire 8 rounds to stop Maldonado and Mijares only got a draw, it took Montiel only 3 lopsided rounds

All 3 of them already softened Maldonado for Montiel. That's why I give the biggest credit for Darchinyan for destroying "Titi" first.

I agree, Donaire already softened Maldonado for Montiel taking into consideration that Maldonado fought Montiel after he was KO'ed by Donaire...

Donaire should win easily against Martinez if not he'd have no chance against Montiel, and anyways IMO Darchinyan/Donaire II should happen first

I think Cobra is not an easy fight for Donaire or for any flyweight for that matter tho I pick Donaire to eventually impose his better boxing skills...
Donaire vs. Darchi 2
Donaire vs. Montiel
Bring them on...
