Donaire was supposed to fight Montiel in this card but they ran into some promotional problems or maybe Montiel can't make super fly anymore and that's why Montiel moved up to bantam... Let's just wait for Donaire vs. Montiel to happen...

Donaire defeating "Cobra" Martinez will be a very good accomplishment IMO... Donaire's win over Maldonado and Mthalane were also good accomplishment for me...

it took both Darchinyan and Donaire 8 rounds to stop Maldonado and Mijares only got a draw, it took Montiel only 3 lopsided rounds
All 3 of them already softened Maldonado for Montiel. That's why I give the biggest credit for Darchinyan for destroying "Titi" first.

I agree, Donaire already softened Maldonado for Montiel taking into consideration that Maldonado fought Montiel after he was KO'ed by Donaire...

Donaire should win easily against Martinez if not he'd have no chance against Montiel, and anyways IMO Darchinyan/Donaire II should happen first

I think Cobra is not an easy fight for Donaire or for any flyweight for that matter tho I pick Donaire to eventually impose his better boxing skills...

    Donaire vs. Darchi 2

    Donaire vs. Montiel

    Bring them on...

Cobra Martinez was already mesmerized by the Filipinos (Filipina? ) and the Philippines... Martinez wearing a Philippine flag inspired jacket which he recently bought...

Next it will be Nonito's turn to mesmerize Martinez inside the ring...

    Loving Nonitos look...

    I'm taking Martinez & Solis.

Also what a poor excuse of matchups to label this Philipines vs. Mexico.
These aren't even both of the countries best. (Solis & Nonito are)
    Martinez is actually American.

I wouldn't say that. Donaire fought and won 9 times at batamweight, all the way up to 121, and almost of them resulted by KO. Donaire is naturally bigger than Montiel. And how many times Montiel fought above 115?

Donaire-Darchinyan rematch will never happen imo, coz Shaw is a fukking dickhead.

agree with you there, but IMO he does deserve a rematch, especially on his last 2 performances

Martinez throws a lot of punches, but I don't think he can avoid Donaire's counters for too long, I have serious questions about Martinez's chin. I fully expect Donaire to let me know if I'm right in my suspicions.

Solis loses 2-3 rounds max and takes Viloria too school for the rest of the fight.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I don't blame Shaw. He made Donaire. He gave him his chance. For Donaire to stabbed him in the back was straight skanless coward move.
