I think i will pay as i think its going to be a cracker, but im quite dissapointed that this sint going to be on UK TV quite scandless if you ask me, i mean our WBC world champ fighting one of the top recognised fighters in the world??
I mean whats Hennesey playing at, i would fuck him off if im Froch not a great way to build your fanbase and popularity in your own country by paying a tenner to watch your biggest fight on your laptop. :rolleyes:

Another Black eye for boxing ! here we have the best fighter in Britain out in the states pumped and primed a hot favourite in a good Americans back Yard and Setanta and ITV don't wanna know .
Even casual fans were coming up to me after the Pascal fight and wetting themselves with excitement and ITV don't wanna stump up the ready brek ?
They'd rather we watch the next Simon Cowell gang fuck or Jade Goody's Will and Testament 3 hour special with commentary from Kerry Katona and Special interviews with Max Clifford and Dermot O fucking Leary rather than follow the hottest boxing talent to spread his wings and fly from these shores .

Hes only just fought his first world ranked opponent and has yet to beat a title holder;)
I wont give him any credit for beating Taylor either because I expect him too, I dont think Taylor is strong enough at this weight, he struggled with Welter weights, lost Twice on the trott a few fights ago and was flattened in One of them.

The channels do take the pee out of Boxing and it's fans. Setanta was quick enough to use boxing to get the subscribers in when they had nothing else to offer. Itv a few years back ditched boxing for Premiership rights then when that went pearshaped they cameback.
Sky's 1st PPV was Bruno vs Tyson 2 - they tested the system out on Boxing fans and look where that got us - paying more and more often for average fights and bills.
Boxing gets decent viewing figures - always has but gets ditched at some point because greedy executives want more; and more often than not the channel comes back to boxing because good fights and fighters guarentee viewing figures.
Sky charging there subscribers extra on top to watch Khan vs the then unknown Prescott was an absolute disgrace. No channel picking up the Froch vs Taylor fight is a crime against the license fee payer.

as for Froch i think it stinks that no UK TV company has picked this up it makes me think that Setanta aint as focused on boxing as they pretend to be.
maybe it will be a last minute deal struck for a lower price because its a shame for UK boxing, Hennessy and Froch.

Haye cant really argue at all, hes already been beaten by an old hasbeen, whereas Hattons only loss came to the best pound for pound fighter in a higher weight class;)

Froch V Taylor: Live & Exclusive Pay Per View on frochvtaylor.com is the site to go to and i just hope it's a decent stream for those who are going to use it.
I'm not sure to be honest and may look for a free live stream instead but they are usually beyond visible when the bell goes and largely a total waste of time.
Hope Someone comes in last minute and shows this live but it doesn't look like anyone will and it's a disgrace that we can't see the Cobra in his biggest fight:mad:
My guess is that someone will stump up an acceptable amount of money and the fight will be shown live; notice how you can only express interest in buying the fight online.
According to Hennessy there's no way the fight will be on the telly, he's not going to give them the fight for next to nothing and internet streams "may be the way forward in the future. " Unless of course only half a dozen people sign up before next Monday and he then decides to take whatever pittance Setanta are offering for the fight. But don'y pay a tenner to watch it, see my thread on the hidden boards.

I really do find it hard to call Frcoh a good fighter, he has had a fairly interesting fight in his last bout but didnt show any exeptional skills, the guy he was fighting had no world level experience so we cant put too much of anythinmg in the performance but the guy he fought has been hurt bad before and Froch caught him clean a few times and didnt make a dent, so im not sure hes that big a puncher, he clearly hasnt got any defence or movement, he had a little bit more than Pascal but wasnt streets ahead.

Hennessy is a twat, people are holding on to their cash now, whereas a title push a few years ago would have bought the big money (if he was good enough) now hes left it too late and no one knows Carl and no one has the money to pay for a fight that is relatively low key compared to the Hatton fight coming up. Now if they are going to pay for a fight and only have enough spare cash for one, its going to be Hatton hands down, a proper show with guaranteed excitement.
Frochs best bet is to go on ITV where he can build on the fan base that seems to think his last fight was good:rolleyes: Dont alienate those people who may pay to watch him but havent seen enough of him yet to feel like getting behind him, hes just acting like a spoilt little brat, no one is going to be demanding big money in any business field for the next few years, especially someone who is in entertainment, the only people that are, are going to be essential services like health.

In fairness it's probalby quite so one sided as he's not had any exposure stateside.I think he needs to get off some big shots early and awaken Taylors ghosts, he might freeze up if he thinks he's facing a defeat.
Agree with the comments about exposure via ITV and building a more solid fan base but it is a bit late for that now.Until Boxing gets back onto terestrial teevision and back to the masses we will only ever know about the biggest attactions that make general sports news and will continue to lose track of home grown talent.

Anyhow can so9meone help me. I always watch these middle of the night fights, but not live, the next day via Sky + box, due to having very young children it is impossible to watch these fights live, normally just watch them Sunday afternoon on the telly.
So what is the best way for me to watch it on Sunday without paying £10?

Let's say they make seven quid a pop after the payment people and streaming people have been paid, and they get 5000 buys. That's 35000 quid. If Setanta offer 50000 with two days to go and Hennessy doesn't think he'll do 5000 buys will he take the Setanta offer? I have my doubts even 5000 people are going to pay for it. The number of people who normally watch fights at ridiculous hours on Sunday mornings will be making their usual arrangements :) and this leaves Froch fans only.
When you look at how the choice of fight, the money split and location of the fight and the promotion and revenue exploitation side of it have gone if Froch loses this fight him and his promoter are going to look like the biggest pair of clueless tits imaginable. :)

Im not one for Froch to be honest. So far he beat some goodish Pro's but no names at all really. IMO Taylor wrecks him, Taylor aint exactly looked stellar as of late but his overall boxing skills are leagues above Froch.
Wont buy the fight but i will watch it on terrastrial and ill cheer for Froch aswell....does he want my support?...then him and hennesy better do something about it and get the fight on telly otherwise he'l never get fans like me on his side properly.

Its Frochs own fault, hes in the entertainment business now and if he cant fight entertaining enough or be personable enough to get people to feel they need to see him fight then he wont make any money.
