Now that the first fight in Tye Fields quest for the heavyweight title has been announced, I'm trying to find out what the television plan is for it? Anyone know if this will be on ESPN, HBO, or Showtime? Or will it be a PPV? I'm sure we'll end up paying big money for fights of his in the next few years...but I'm hoping to get this fight without lightening the wallet too much. Anyone know the plan?

I thought after he got his dufus ass beat in his last fight the plan was for him to go back to Montana and fall under a combine in the wheat fields.:confused:

Hey....if I have to, I'll pay $50-60 to see this fight (and I know many others who would as well). I just don't want to if I don't have to do so.
As for his last fight, its clear that Monte Barrett had plaster in his gloves. Nobody delivers a knockout punch like that to Tye without assistance.
Its a shame that others obviously go to the Margarito School of Boxing....but at least trainers are aware to look for it now and another incident of this nature will never happen again.
Guys, you're hurting Tye's feelings...

As for who he'll fight, Tye has always been open to taking on any and all challengers. Most have run scared from him (and I don't blame them when their livlihood depends on it)....but I've never understood while many boxing "fans" such as yourself continue to have this hatred and jealousy built up to one of the greatest boxers of our generation.
If you're gonna hate Tye, than start hating all the other great fighters of today as well like Pacquio, Mayweather, and Mosley.

The way I see it the division is up for the taking. Sure Tye may not be a champion, maybe he's not top 10 quite yet but what's great about this heavyweight division is all the talent stewing just below the top 30. You have Audley Harrison, Dominic Guinn, Hector Camacho Jr., Timor Ibragimov, Michael Grant and you have to figure that Tye Fields fits right into that group, let's see if he can keep up as all of them ascend to the very top.
So to answer your question sir, I don't know. However if you do find the answer, please share so us purist can stay tuned.

But to suggest that jealousy and fear play a part in regards to other legitimate Heavyweights running from him is.....frankly just delusional.He may have some things going for him.Hes as big as a house,seems willing, can draw crowds...cough.....and seems a nice enough guy,seriously! You see, I am all cool with the fact that you're a Field's fan. I am not personally though I think his trainer, Jesse Reid, is probably one of the most honest person in the business, read countless things on him, load of integrity here. However, I think that you do exaggerate a a bit when you talk about a bidding war to get him on the screen. The guy's not a top 10 yet and lost his most significant match, normally there is no bidding war at this stage. It's good that you're such enthusiast about him especially as not many persons over here are but keep a bit of balance in your judgment, the guy is as close of a bidding war to be seen in the ring as me. I wish him all the best though and it would be interesting if he could stir up things and bring some excitements to the HW house.Quote:
