Believe it or not Lewis/Bowe is one I always wished would have happened as well. Lennox one of my all time faves and Bowe one of my all time fave HW's; would have been a great fight.
Mayweather/Kostya would have been one I'd have loved to seen get made.

Re: The one fight that got away
I was saying on another thread earlier that I don't think we will have to worry any more about fights not been made that we would like to see - unless retirement is the reason.
So....
Lews v Bowe ?
RJJ V Benn ?
Benn v Eubank III ?
Think i would have to go with Benn v Eubank III. There was unfinished business between these two and after result of the second fight I think we deserved a conclusion

That was the first one I thought of.

Re: The one fight that got away
James Toney vs Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn
James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
Sugar Ray Leonard vs Aaron Pryor
Thomas Hearns vs Aaron Pryor as pros
-
Re: The one fight that got away
Tszyu V Mosley.....Should have happened, both Mosley and DLH did the quick step, side step, foxtrot, mambo and preferred to tango with other dance partners!
Tszyu V DLH.....as above
Leonard V Pryor....There were reasons but....
Sanchez V Pedroza....this fight and a second fight with Nelson would have happened i am sure of it.
Camacho V Whitaker.... they talked and talked and talked and nothing eventuated, Camacho fought the big three in Chavez, Trinidad and DLH but never fought Whitaker, it would have been fascinating watching the styles.

Tyson/Ibeabuchi
Ibeabuchi/Lewis
Pacquiao/Campbell

Pacquiao/Judah(I think we would see extreme fireworks)

than it's Morales Vs Hamed for me, IMO Morales' style would have been even worse for Hamed than Barrera's and he would have been able to stop Naseem as well, would have been great;D

Re: The one fight that got away
Oscar De La Hoya vs Winky Wright @ 154
Always felt Oscar avoided the best at 154, and that he could have fought guys like Forrest. Would most liked to have seen this fight rather than ODLH's pointless trip up to 160. Probably a load more, but people have mentioned the obvious like Morales v Hamed, JMM v Morales, Pacquiao v Nate Campbell & Mayweather v Mosley @ 135

jones jr-hopkins II
hamed-morales
hatton-witter i presume has already been mentioned
sky built that up like hell for years presuming 2 british welterweight world champions were gonna obviously gonna have to fight one another.
Shame witter couldnt of got himself over in america as the fight would definitely of happened. If he had of beaten bradley and still be champ ive no doubt there would of been enough hype to get the fight over stateside!!

Re: The one fight that got away
I can't believe more people haven't mentioned Trinidad vs. Mosley. That fight would have been awesome. The other one I always wanted to see was Winky Wright vs. Oscar De La Hoya but I mentioned the Trinidad vs. Mosley fight first as I think it would have been a more entertaining fight.

de la hoya-wright was always a strange one for me as to why it didnt happen
Oscar, sugar shane, winky and vargas seemed to primarily fight one another all the time. Im pretty sure thats the only fight that didnt happen between those 4!!

Add Trinidad and Mayorga to that list as well. All 6 of those made 147/154 very entertaining to watch.

Add Vernon Forrest in as well then. Just on this whole why Oscar thing, people always say that he didn't duck the best, but in truth he never fought any of the best guys at 147 or 154 if they weren't bringing a load of cash. That's cool it is a business after all, but it gets on my nerves when people say he always went after the best, then he should of focused on fighting one of Forrest or Winky at 154 at some point this decade. He always went after the Pound For Pound champ (Shane, B-Hop, PBF, Pac) because of the money it brought rather than fight legitimate threats around those weights. I'm a big fan of Oscar but it seems since he retired people are looking at him through rose-tinted spectacles. Personally I give Mosley the most credit, I think he was always a weight division behind Trinidad (ie Shane 135:Tito 147, Shane 147: Tito 154, Shane 154: Tito 160) and that's why that never happened.

certainly did
people moaned about oscar fighting sturm despite the fact oscar was moving up the weights, had just been beat and was fighting a current world champion for his title :confused::confused:
Other than that ODLH has pretty much gone after the best all the time much like gatti did despite the endless beatings he took!!

I believe if Mosley had beaten Winky it would have happened, as Trinidad was there to scout the fight. Its a real shame for me though, it would have been a cracker.
