Calderon-Mayol stopped on a cut in the 6th, ruled a draw
58-56 Mayol, 58-56 Calderon and 57-57
No I didn't see it, apparently though Mayol started well and Calderon finished well but a butt caused a cut on Calderon.

I saw it. Wasn't a good fight. Gotta be honest, Calderon is very much there for the taking. I see nothing overly special in his work anymore and can understand why Ring magazine removed him from their P4P top 10.

Now I understand why HBO didn't air this fight.

Setanta did, but absolutely nothing happened worth note. A few good punches and a 3 accidental headbutts.

I agree with the technical draw. I have no problem with it. But let's be honest here. It was Calderon who was taking the beating. Agree?

Take a deep breath. Its not on the HBO card. If you were going to see it you would see it on a stream.

You serious, it lists Mayol-Calderon as being shown.

I had Calderon winning 58-56, although I have no problem with a draw. Certainly didn't think Mayol was doing anything special, he did more first 2 rounds, he had his opportunity to press once Calderon started bleeding but seemed to almost back off. Very disappointed with his post-fight comments, I've generally respected Fillipino fighters for being classy no matter what post-fight, but Mayol decided to play the whiny asshole, doing the Duran 'why didn't he come to fight' lines & acting like he'd been robbed

Thats typical Mayol, thats why I dont root for him. His one of the few filipino fighters I dont go with. He tends to blame others and whine about shit when it didn't go his way. Did you see when he lost to Solis? I didn't see the fight or see the post fight interviews but Im not suprise if Mayol did start whining again.

Yeah, I was surprised because Pac, Donaire & Penalosa are always pure class, Mayol came across like a dick & implied that he was giving Calderon a boxing lesson, which certainly wasn't the case. I only saw a Spanish language stream of his fight with Solis, so hadn't heard him speak before, but I will definitely re-visit the Solis fight just to see him get beat.
