I love Joe Calzaghe. He is a funny chap and he can say all the outlandish things he wants....obviously a bit tongue in cheek like Saddo says. Joe seems really content with things and its great to see a fighter get out at exactly the right time.
If I did have an respect for JC before its all gone.
Everyone likes to say they can beat the Klitschkos but nobody can(from today that is).

Also, id put a cheaky little bet on Joe if he and Haye fought at cruiser, its conceivable that Joe could keep enough punches in Hayes face to stop him throwing any and just outwork him because Haye has shite stamina, yeah if Haye lands Joe will get hurt but Haye needs to wind his punches up and hasnt really fought any quick fisted fighters that can take advantage of him being quite easy to hit.
Infact, get Haye to come back down to cruiser and make the fight, after all Hayes body building he would struggle and im sure after all Hayes self publicity (good and bad) it could make Joe a nice few quid.
funny thing is, he probably could if he waited as long to fight them as he did the current old guys he's taking so much credit for beating.
I dont give him much credit for beating either Hopkins or Jones, I never really rated either, I think Joe would have done the same Ten years ago only with more power.

I actually think RJJ and B-Hop were better fighters p4p than JC, but I think people claiming B-Hop was old and shot against JC is BS and I also think all 3 have questionable resumes during their prime and the weight they reigned at!

I wouldn't go that far. Boxing is all about styles. Pavlik ain't exactly a fast combination punching machine like Calzaghe is. Bernard had to fight a more defensive fight against Calzaghe because Calzaghe was gonna be in his face throwing all day. Against Pavlik he could pot shot all night as logn as he avoided the right hand. Two completely different styles and a style like Pavlik's is made for Bernard to look spectacular against. So I wouldn't say it gave Calzaghe's win more merit unless Pavlik had the exact same style. It just showed that he wasn't shot but that he had to fight a different way against Calzaghe.
