Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Really want to watch the fight but really begrudge paying for it.

I'll just watch it on Show Time

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
so in the next 7 weeks there is ....
- Froch
- Haye v Valuev
- Pac v Cotto
- Khan v Salita
I can see 3 or 4 of those all being ppv in UK - a lot of money to fork out in a short space of time

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
If you dont want to pay over the odds go to one of the sites where you can pay around £2.50 for the night, I watched the Froch Taylor one on one of the sites and the stream was perfect not exactly the same as watching on the Plasma, but to save money not a bad option.

I will always pay for a Khan fight as I want to be watching live the next time he gets sparked ;) The Prescott fight was one of the best £15 I have ever spent

Not me, I watch on streams. ;D
All the main event fights for HBO PPV are always replayed for free the following week, so I don't see the point in paying. Plus, I really can't afford to buy them all.
However, I think the first one that I will pay for is Cotto vs Pac. I can't watch that fight on a small media player. It's just too big of a fight for me to watch it on a stream. Watch it on a 5" stream or on a 65" TV, which do you think I should go with? ;)

I've heard that Pac-Cotto is on regular Sky Sports as they are trying to build a PPV for the Floyd-Pac fight. I hope this is true.
I am going to pay for Froch though as it will also have the Taylor fight on so not too bad value really when you consider that we pay £15 regular just to see one world class fight!

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Is the Cotto-Pac fight on Sky they havent said it is??

What I was told by a lad who works with me! To be fair though he said the same about Floyd and Marquez before sky announced they were showing it.

Not to sure mate the fights less than 5 weeks away, surely they would be marketing to high heaven.
Lets keep fingers crossed.

Maybe. Not many part time boxing fans will stay up till gone 5 in the morning to watch it though (more fool them) so I see the adverts starting in the next couple of weeks. Their main advertising campaign regarding boxing now will be for the PPV Haye-Valuev!
-
Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Can't see them having 2 ppv in that short space of time, but they have not advertised the fight at all. they have advertised fights after this date so maybe they are still negotiating and have not bought the fight yet.
-
Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
I am considering how good his last fights have been. Factor in the taylor - abraham fight and £15 ishould be alright value.
-
Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Me and gladly so! I want to see Froch ice Dirrell. :foruml10gc5: :foruml10gc5:
-
Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Has anyone actually bought this primetime thing yet? Do they have commentators?
The undercard for Froch-Dirrell is toilet.

The cunting website won't let me sign for the telly, only the net broadcast. Their call centre is rubbish, my girlfriend gave up trying to get through to a human being. Anybody signed up for this crap yet?

How lucky are you Brits, 15 £ for Taylor vs. Abraham or Froch vs. Dirrell, of course it worth, here they rob us, I should have pay 70 CAD for Pascal vs. Branco … Who’s this old guy … I never heard about him before Diaconu – Branco canceled fight … I’m not senile tabarnak !

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
Anyone bought this & know how it works??
Does it charge the money off your card or does it add to the phonebill of the person whose digibox it goes to?
Need to know as I'm gonna be at a relatives on Saturday so need to decide now what I'm doing.

Pretty sure it's added to your bill If your already a Digital customer. I suppose you can pay by card over the phone though.

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
OK, I just booked it on the bugle. I got a short recorded message then straight through to a human being. Even though he was handicapped (Scottish) we overcame the language barrier and he managed to process the order with little or no trouble. Hopefully anyway, we'll find out Saturday. My gf told me she couldn't book it, on hold for ages etc. etc., but it turns out she's just a lazy bitch and actually booking it is no problem.

This is probably a dumb as fuck question but do I need a phone line connected to my Sky box? I think you need that for Box Office events, right?
I've just moved home and noticed the Sky man didn't connect a phone line to the box. I don't have the lead. So obviously will need to buy one - IF it's needed :-\

You do not have to have it connected. Phone them and they send the signal through to the dish whilst your on the phone to them.

Re: Who is going to pay for the Froch fight ppv?
i was looking forward to watching this fight, but am having trouble!! Can you watch it on a vergin meidia package? or is the channel only avaliable to sky viewwers??? Really disappointed if you can only get it on sky. Don't particularly enjoy watching poor quality free streams of fights on the nternet

You'd better ask them that. I'm sure he asked me if my box was connected to the phone. He wanted my viewing card number too but didn't say how they send the message to the box to show the fight.
