The beers are in but i think the 3 pound stream is in too ;D I think Dirrell will start quick, but as soon as he feels his power and carl gets the crowd behind him Dirrell wont be as fast as he was at the start. When carl gets his range, i think there will be too much pressure on Dirrell for his inexperience at the world level and he will be stopped late.

Well I look at it this way

You got a slow, powerful durable guy with great determination and offense who ignores defense, against a slick speedster with great footwork, handspeed and decent power..

Smells like Margarito/ Mosely all over again. Dirrell like Mosely has incredible handspeed with average fundamental defense as well as using his offense to stunt Carls offense, Froch will try to walk him down but the fact that he keeps his hands low begging to be hit wont show any effects early as Carl will absorb the punishment, but a few rounds of that will slow him down as he looks for Dirrell but dosent find him, sure Froch will land but nothing signifigant since he wont be able to set his feet and sit down on his punches, eventually Froch will finally crack.

1 loss dosent seem to be a horrible thing in this tournament. Froch's chin will be the one thing that will betray him. I can see him getting seriously hurt and dropped gets to his feet easily, action resumes and Froch gets overwhelmed with speedy combos and cant fire back the ref is asking him to show something but he cant he wont go down but cant defend intelligently and dosent know how to hold, ref jumps in.

froch has got to expect that dirrell is gonna come out like a steamengine early on and should be prepared to get outworked early on

But as the fight progresses froch will simply step it up in gears and every time dirrell gets hit with a good shot he is going to hear the noise and pandemonium around him.

Fighting froch in nottingham would be a big ask for mikkel kessler let alone Andre Dirrell....froch either takes him out late on, takes a points win or gets completely stupid and trys to trade like he did with pascal and gets taken out in the middle rounds!!

Thats all he has Tam, he is nothing special ,Froch is shit fundamentally as far as offense and defense goes, he plods around and is graceful as an elephant. Not saying he isint entertaining and he wont gut out some good wins in his career Pascal/Taylor but history dosent reflect well in these matchups when a banger fights a slickster.

Froch is going to give away early rounds and will take punishment in the process, he might get broken down and stopped before Dirrell ever slows

Taylor is more experienced but doesnt fight like an experienced fighter.....He hasnt picked up alot of the cagey veteran defensive moves that tends to come with experience.....

I dont believe Dirrell will blow out Froch, but the way Froch keeps his hands low, takes shots and walks in it is a matter of time before he gets KO'd.......Not quite as extreme as Vic Darchinyun but I see similarities and especially when he throws that upper cut....That is a train wreck waiting to happen.....

Agree his defense is poor at best but he actually does have quite good footwork for a guy that is hardly a speed merchant

Froch/Calzaghe/Kessler - none of those are graced with a certain attribute that makes a great fighter. But they all know how to get the job done and mess up an opponents gameplan. Froch will take dirrell to the trenches eventually and dirrell will tire something rotten!!

Thats a bit contradictory I think, to state a blatant claim and say they dont have great attributes.. Kessler being the polished article in everyway is one hell of a great attribute..

He gets floored by a counter, right hand... exactly the type that Froch likes to land... like I say it's something I'd hope they would have worked on since, especially for Froch but what's more interesting is that whilst solid, it's hardly concussive so I have to question Dirrell's chin.

Ok then, everytime hes fought a world ranked fighter (even if Taylor wasnt ranked at super middle) hes been dropped.

I think its going to become a habit, especially when its world class super middles hitting the witches chin.

Everyone says that Froch gets stronger as the fight goes on but as yet he hasnt fought a world class super middle to judge that against.

Pascal wasnt world class and had been hurt badly before but Froch couldnt dent him, Taylor was a middle weight renowed for tiring in fights and got sparked by a middle weight, Froch needed him to slow.

I dont think Dirrell will amount to much, he seems quite fragile from what iv seen of him but like someones already said, Froch has an awfull style that wont need a great to beat him.

While I have been very critical and skeptical of Pascal, even after the Froch fight, he's shown a fair bit since then.
