Ricky Hatton Still Wants Revenge on Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Boxing News
He says he will probably give it another go in 2010. Interested to see what weight he comes back at & against who.
As for wanting to fight Mayweather again, we saw what that did to a Hatton in his 'prime'. Now it would be embarassing, even he seems to know he'd get KO'd again.
Right now I'd say Matthew Hatton is further up the queue for a Mayweather fight than he is.:rolleyes:
I guess he wants to get revenge on the ring post as well then. :p
Hatton would be bonkers to try rekindle the flame thats been distingueshed since the last maywether bout. I suspect it would be an embarassing and desperate seeming exit from the sport from one of the all time greats. A shamefull scene weve seen so many heroes take.
I'd like to fight Mayweather too!

I really would hate for him to fight on. All the world class fighters in and around light welter would stop a 2010 version of Ricky Hatton. What's the point in fighting lesser fighters just to finish his career with a win?
If he gets back into the ring he want to be motivated to do it and Mayweather and Pac would be for him to get revenge. :p In reality Amir Khan would be more realistic.

I can't stand Hatton, but in his defence here he's taken out of context. The interview is on Sky Sports site and he only says Maywether when really pressed about how he'd rather avenge (almost hypothetically), not even comitted to continue.

I can't help but think Ricky is just after more big paydays.. and doesn't have any regard for his health. Mayweather beat Hatton up for 10 rounds then knocked him out after this fight he fought Lazcano and he looked shot like Mayweather had finished him then he fought Pacquiao and he totally finished him off. As a big Hatton fan, I would very suprised if he ever stepped foot in the ring as a boxer, of course as a promoter he will, but certainly not in anger.
As for taking on Mayweather, that would need at least 2-3 warm up fights due to length outta the ring, carnt see him wanting to put himself through all that 3-4 times more.

I fully appreciate how much this has been discussed. But as most things it's about opinions, and thats what generates these wonderful debates. What i saw he was in the fight till 6-7rd then the shit hit the fan :cool:
