How do you see this fight going? After the first round of fights, everyone was saying how Abraham would smash Froch up, I thought personally it would a good fight with Froch being to much in the end for Abraham, what does everyone think now?

Nothing over the weekend has changed my opinion. It just confirmed that Arthur has concusive power and if Froch doesnt find a defence from somewhere then he is taking a trip to casualty like Dirrel and Taylor did.
Lets see how Froch does vs Kess 1st though
Abraham still sparks Froch, only reasons Dirrell beat him up was because he was technically superior and faster, two things that Froch isn't by anymeans, Abraham IMO has the better chin than Froch and IMO is the harder puncher, plus now doesn't have to worry about losing the 0, in the end it'll be a fight between two dirty fuckers
Froch has a low workrate, not alot of speed, telegraphs his punches (especially that upper cut) and his defense is lacking which plays right into Abraham's peek-a-boo stance. Arthur will eat Froch right up. Keep in mind Taylor put Froch down hard and Dirrell seriously wobbled him a few times.
I would bet on a AA KO in round 7.
I will have any bets Froch beats AA.
Great! We get to see Froch get stopped two times in a row.
I think Froch has a lot better chance if it's in Britain. So far it's been the home fighter winning every fight and look at the difference in Dirrell home and away. Admittedly he was basically a prospect fighting Froch away from home and had that experience for the second fight but it's starting to look like Frank Warren is right with the whole home and away thing. I still can't see Froch beating Abraham either way though, I think Abraham sparks him.
EDIT: Froch must be mightily pissed off that Abraham lost. Two potential Nottingham Forest-filling paydays for him against Kessler and Abraham have vanished because they both lost their previous fights and Kessler lost his belt. Although maybe he gets a good payday next as Abraham's people will be desperate to keep the fight in Germany. There's no set country for Froch-Abraham to happen in, right?
Think AA is tougher for Froch than Kessler, I think kessler has some serious confidence issues. Agree that location plays a part and if they fight in Germany AA will just let his usual game plan work and get to Froch late. In Nottingham if Froch can take some early rounds then he has a chance if AA starts getting desperate again.
I think Froch has a higher work-rate and at 168 he probably hits just as hard...or at least i don't think there is much in it. Providing both chins hold up i think Froch can outwork him. But he's more likely to get caught flush so it should be fun.
I'm gonna have to wait and see after the Froch Kessler fight as to wondering how this is gonna play out, but my initial thought would be that if Froch can give Kessler a pasting, which I now beleive he can, then he'll give AA some real problems too. To be honest, if you can have a plan in place to get throgh the last three round onslaught from AA, then he can be outpointed all day long. At elite level, you can't be giving away the first 4 or 5 rounds... One important thing in Froch's favour for me is that he's a big super middleweight and always comes to the table in absolutely tip top condition.
Froch is a sturdy guy but AA has shown that he has no problems with these type of fighters. I think it will be a very tough fight. I don't see Froch getting stopped but I think AA will win a decision.
in the end it doesn't really matter cause i'm pretty damn sure that Ward is gonna leave this tourney with his 0 intact

I still fancy Abraham to KO Froch. Anyone that gets hit as much as Froch surely wont survive the power of Abraham.
As GAME said (;D), Abraham has left his first two opponents unconcious.
Probably be the best match of the whole tournament.
Now that we know that AA can be hurt and Froch can always punch, it will be a very good fight. Froch will respect AA power and not get caught as often and provided it is in UK, which is unlikely, Froch will win this fight.

I'm apologize ahead of time to froch fans but i just don't see it with this guy. I (ducking from thrown fruit) don't even see why he's in the tourny at all. I will say this he has won and that is really what matters. For some reason i just am really un impressed with the guy. Even with what happened this weekend i say both kessler and abraham are going to donkey kick this guy. Hey i do wish him luck though cause his fights at the least the one's i've seen lately since that raybacki clown he fought have been ok to watch though.
I feel the same way I always have. If Abraham does his usual cover-up-and-let-his-opponent wail away for the first 4 rounds, he could be in some trouble because Froch can bang. However, if he comes out fighting from the very beginning I think his power will overwhelm and stop Froch relatively early. It's a really intriguing fight.
people hate on here the exact same way they hated on calzaghe before he laid all the doubters to rest.
They thought mitchell would be too much, thought lacy would be too much, they thought kessler would be too much, they thought jones jr would be too much, they even thought hopkins would be too much
Exact same thing with froch, the concensous before the fights with pascal, taylor and dirrell were conclusively that he would get his arse handed too him.
Some of the american posters on here are desperately bitter about joe calzaghe, they fought they had the top boys for an entire generation and have now had to face the realisation that the true all time great was sitting at home in newbridge, wales watching the likes of jones/toney/hopkins on tv
Abraham will find more aggressiveness after the Dirrell's fight and will start to work earlier and knock off Froch off his shoes to perhaps win the tournament by a meager 1-2 points.
I'm not sure about other American posters, but I can say that since I began following him I always thought Calzaghe was special. I favored him against Kessler and against Jones and against Hopkins. Froch is NO Calzaghe.Quote:

I would definity NOT bet on this one. This could go so many differnt ways. BUT, I think it will be as entertaining as hell. Should be a wild, unpredictable fight. Both have great chins, both throw wide punches, both have power, both dont move very well....
But Froch is just so akward. The key will be what the mental effect of the Direll fight has on AA, and can Froch exploit it? But then again.... Froch cant fight like Direll to use his plan.....

Or maybe it's like survivor and they have to make fire OR maybe they simply allow through who has the higher viewership.

I became a big Calzaghe fan myself....Always thought he had been under rated and mis promoted by Warren but he had that IT factor in the ring...IMO Warren stopped him from being a MEGA star around the world with shitty match up's
