Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Haye: Klitschkos Like To Fight Old, Run-Down Americans - Boxing News
Thought the article was funny especially about the Klits fighting old run down Americans. Also it reiterates that Haye wants to keep all the English PPV while the Klits should keep the network tv money in Germany.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
It's hard to imagine Haye is taking any of this seriously when he's not even counter-offering anymore, he's just going straight to the media and bitching.
They're called negotiations for a reason.
The rematch clauses have been removed, a 50/50 split is more than fair.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
This fight would do 1.5million ppvs over here on Sky IMO. That is why the Klits will not accept those contract deals. I have a feeling if they don't though the fight with Haye will never happen. That is the thing I dislike about Haye, his greed. I know he's worked hard to get where he is but the Klits have been at the top longer than him and deserve their own piece of the pie!
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
I forgot John Ruiz is an up and coming prospect.
Fucking idiot.
-
Audley Harrison doesn't count because he's an old run down BRITISH fighter ;D

I was gonna say the same thing but 'cos he is British didnt' wanna bring it into the argument. Audley is 39 in a couple of days - and is 2 months older than Briggs.
He really is a bit thick. Just told him as much on twitter.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Well, well, well - Haye knockers start apologising.
Klitschko's manager just totally owned them. They want to cash in on Haye's star appeal in Britain. Basically they want to steal his money.
If Haye-Harrison does anywhere close to BIG PPV numbers all his actions are totally justified.
-
Haye is a greedy dick.
But I still hope the fight gets made and he wins.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Yeh it could be alot worse I suppose . They could be fighting circus attractions ( ok I'll spot em Briggs) who deserved to lose to an old washed up American or some hyped up sensation who flopped like trout on dry land.

And if they don't he loses his last bargaining chip, not disagreeing with you at all, we'll just have to wait and see.
Hold up, I just realized something, they are including PAC/Margo in the PPV package. Surely that skews this as a measuring stick for Haye's star power
-
50/50 is more than fair....I just want the fight to happen. I'll buy it on PPV but HBO needs to realize "out of sight out of mind" if they don't show ANY heavyweight fights then they can't expect big PPV numbers of this fight.
I just look forward to seeing Chicken Little and his smug fanny bandit manager/trainer get what's coming to them. They'll get paid but its gonna hurt.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Others have already said it but is such a stupid fat nosed, skinny necked twaat that it needs repeating!!
He just described his last opponent!! "old run down american"
At least Briggs was coming off a 4 fight unbeaten streak and was a world champ only 3 years ago, unlike Ruiz;D

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
It's a virtual gaurantee Haye-Harrison will sell good PPV. The 20,000 tickets sold-out in one day.
By the way - Haye meant "old rundown Americans" compared to fighting him.

He's the one with the excuses, Wlad and Vitali offered him big money and yet the fight hasn't happened and only 1 side is holding things up by not making any concessions and that's Chicken Little.

Not out of control, but at the time it was announced they sold it on every TV/Radio show available and will obviously crank it up even more nearer the time.

Did you read what Bernd Boente (Klit manager) said - "Haye earns FAR more money from the British PPV than the Klitschkos could ever possibly imagine from the German TV station RTL"
They want Haye's money!!!! That's why the fight ain't happening. They are saying Haye is greedy for wanting what's his. :vd:
THE TRUTH IS OUT!!! Fact.

Of course they are going for the PPV money..........RTL is free TV.
Is Harrison not getting any of the PPV sales? It's not as if people are buying to see him.
And clearly Pacquiao and Margarito won't see a dime of the PPV right?
I mean it's Haye's PPV

Yes the TRUTH being that Chicken Little's vision of a 50/50 split isn't exactly 50/50 ergo no deal....are you dense?

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
As killersheep pointed out, why is the marg/pac fight included in this PPV package? If Haye is the big star worldwide as his supporters claim, why piggyback on 2 welterweights?
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Since when is Pac-Margarito part of the Haye-Harrison PPV? News to me. I'll be very happy though.
Do you realise American (Vegas) fights happen at 4am UK time. The fights hardly ever get shown let alone PPV. The only PPV Pac has had in Britain is with Hatton. Mayweather's only PPV is with Hatton. All their other fights, if shown, have been FREE!!!
Here's some perspective - Cotto-Margarito UK TV did 14,000 ;D

1 of those welterweights being one of if not THE most popular fighter in the sport today.
As I said before I don't care about the details I just want the fight to happen. If Chicken Little steps in the ring with a Klitschko he's going to get KO'd....write it down, take a picture, chisel it in stone, that is the 1 and only outcome of that matchup FACT. I read a lot of "if _____ catches Wlad"....but I don't read many "If Wlad lands the right cross _____" because there's no IF about it, he will land it and it WILL be goodnight sweetheart and that's the real reason why Chicken Little doesn't want the fight. Why fight the big boys of the division when you can stick to fighting guys who are 36 or older and that is all he has fought at heavyweight, look at Killersheep's numbers, he put them up there for everyone to see: Valuev, Ruiz, Barrett, Audley all of them north of 36 years old and IF they had primes they are all well past them.

I already know that. But if Haye was this massive superstar, he doesn't need to piggy back on the no. 1 p4p fighter's back right? Tyson in his prime didn't need to piggy back on Marvin Hagler's (the no. 1 p4p fighter in the 80s) back, Ali didn't need to piggyback on Roberto Duran's back in the 70s, Jack Dempsey didn't need to piggy back on Benny Leonard's back or Joe Louis didn't need to piggy back on 1 of Ray Robinson's fights. If you're a superstar HW champ you can sell it on your own. But the fact of the matter is Haye isn't.

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
What's all this "piggyback" bullshit? Come on now get real.
1. Pac is not PPV in Britain (apart from being part of Hatton's PPV).
2. Haye sold near 1 million PPVs against Valuev and 600,000 against Ruiz. Who was he piggybacking on in these?
3. PLEASE someone show me where it says Pac-Margarito is on the Haye PPV.

It was an old boxrec article (by old I mean like 45 days old), I'll try to find it.

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Simply put haye is not getting in the ring with em till he's ready to cash out. First he was going to take their heads of no matter what the deal was, then the offers were unfair and disrespectful, and now a complete 50/50 split down the middle is still unfair. Honestly the klits need to just forget about haye go about destroying everyone else they face cause haye is a joke acting like he's the greatest of the great. Naturally he's still got people buying his bs and defending him.
-
One way or the other, we'll be watching two big fights in one night. Looking forward to it.
I'm just so bored of the Haye/ Klit bla, bla. Both sides.
Audley might still land one on Haye and that's the end of those plans. Dezza might hit the shot of his life against Wlad and it could all be in tatters.
Would be brilliant :D

Those facts speak for themselves. Haye is once again talking shit. And good point on Pac/Margarito being tied in with Hayes own coverage. That warps things too.

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Haye like always is just speaking nonsense. It's gotten to the point where he's just recycling the same nonsense he said awhile back. And his groupies are still gobbling it up. The lust blinds them so much there even justifying Harrison as a legit fight. Spitting stupidity like "It'll sell. It's a good fight" Come on now. It's Audley "Fucking" Harrison. A joke of a fighter who goes life and death with fellow jokster Michael Sprott and became so irrelevant in the sport that he actually fought in the dreadful charade known as Prizefighter just to remind people that while he's still garbage he ain't quite dead yet. No matter how it gets spin, bottom line is it's a terrible fight. To call it a bad fight is actually being too nice. Jesus Christ. The man lost to Martin "Even my mum knows I suck" Rogan. Something so shameful that Harrison by all rights should of committed suicide over it. But Harrison decided to show the world the full extend of his cowardice and continue to live. Now Haye is facing that coward. Pathetic.

Pac - ODLH was part of Khans comeback PPV, so Hatton isn't the only PPV he has been on. This was supposed to be a huge double header for Sky with Haye fighting over here and then off to Vegas for Pac-Floyd, but as that didn't happen I am just assuming that they have kept Pac as part of the deal. Haye had been saying he was fighting on the 13th November since the date was put forward as a possibility for Pac-Mayweather.
I think that Haye-Audley will match if not better Haye-Valuev whether Pac was on it or not just due to it being 2 Brits fighting for a HW belt. Haye is getting more and more popular over here and is becoming a household name and Audley is known as something of a laughing stock by everyone in the country. People want to see KO's in HW boxing and they want to be entertained watching it, that is what Haye-Audley will bring and that is why people will pay for it.
The amount of people who are what i'd call fringe boxing fans watched Wlad-Peter and were turning it off bored by the 6th round is frightening for HW boxing and is not good for the sport. We need these people to be watching boxing and getting excited by it because they are watching it to be entertained not because they love the sport come rain or shine (like the majority of posters here do) and they are the people who will make up the PPV numbers at the end of the day!

Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Quote:
Unusually, Haye kept silent for a while, but eventually responded. He insists the back injury that forced the cancellation of the 2009 bout with Wladimir was legitimate and that he chose to challenge Valuev rather than Vitali because he received a far better financial offer with less onerous options. Addressing his fans on youtube, he blamed the failure of the 2010 negotiations on the Ukranians, saying he demanded a 50-50 split, but Klitschko rejected it citing conditions laid down by his German TV contract. "I then said, 'Okay you keep 100 percent of German television money and I keep 100 percent of UK TV money. And we split everything else 50-50.' He didn't answer that. So I gave him two options, and he flat out refused both of them."
-December issue of The Ring Magazine article by Gavin Evans with quotes from David Haye.
So clearly not only is someone backing out of this through the negotiations game, but also one of the two has blatantly lied. I'm not saying it's Haye, it could be either one of them. Either way though, Haye has acknowledged here he was okay with a 50/50 split including TV options. The thing we don't know is who first approached who, as they have both claimed to have initiated a total 50/50 split offer, whomever made the offer first therefore is telling the truth.

Same thing I'm talking about. They were on Khan's PPV, which would have been PPV regardless, and had they not fought on that date, Sky would have shown it FREE or not at all (that was Khan's comeback fight with Fagin and clearly needed bolstering) .
These guys wrongly believe that a 4am American fight, that doesn't invlove a British superstar, will somehow distort the numbers for Haye's upcoming PPV. Even though he's a PROVEN huge PPV seller, and standalone 4am American PPVs don't happen unless a British star is involved.
Clutching at straws. Fact.

No no, I was under the impression that Pac/Margarito was included on the same card, I obviously was mistaken on that point as I can't find the article now, although was rjjtszyu was on the money that there was discussion that Pac/$May would have been included on the card (the reason Haye picked the date originally) and the Pac may be given the piggy back option even after his negotiations with Mayweather fell through. This is clearly not the case now though and I stand corrected.
Haye will definitely sell a lot of PPV and has become a pretty big draw. Although the article I posted Haye states clearly that he originally offered a 50/50 split including TV options. So how is it stealing if it's offered?

Come on man, I said that tongue-in-cheek. This was a thread started so people could bash Haye. I was merely playing with Klitchkos manager's quote that Haye earns more from TV than the Klits - hence the KLits are being greedy (I already knew all about the Klits RTL deal and what not).
As for the piggybacking PPV - I understand your mistake, but even though I quickly corrected it, there has still been 3-4 posts congratulating you on the mistake. Is peoples hatred for Haye so great that they can't even admit the unequivocal fact that he's a BIG PPV seller? For fucks sake
And as for Haye's date being picked to coincide with Pac-Floyd - a) Pac-Floyd was never even signed, right? and b) Haye-Harrison was announced long after Pac-Floyd was scrapped. If ANY non-Brit fight could be PPV here it's that one. So adding it to the Haye card makes sense. But it's not like Haye-Harrison was going to struggle.
-
Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
If that was a mistake then I take it back, but the other fact about fighting run down old fighters remains quite true. Haye is beating both Klits at that game (fighting old run down fighters) and is significantly younger than the both of them.
I don't see that as hate, I see that as pointing out the facts (not that I am taking the credit for those facts). If they are the facts then they are the facts. Haye at heavyweight only fights old men.
Actually, now that KS has pointed it out and you go and gander over at Boxing Rec, Haye is quite shocking. It really is all he does. Quite shameless. Oh, but considering it makes him money then we should all excuse it and say "nice one, David".
This leaves me convinced that Vitali is on the hitlist for 2014.

Haye meant "old run down fighters" compared to him. As in they are ducking him.
You see, Klits say Haye is ducking them so Haye says they are ducking him. It just the usual boxing bullshit.

Come on though mate be fair. Haye is talking bollocks about the Klits only fighting old americans and we all know that. He should have just said they only fight bums (that is all there is), but he fought Valuev to win the title and Ruiz was his mandatory defence. He cannot be blamed for either IMO.

Now Fenster is on the money here, the Pac Marg fight won't make a bit of difference to the Haye/Audely fight not one bit.
Haye/Harrison fight had nothing to do with the Pac fight being on the same night at all.
The reason the Haye fight is on the November 13th is because that is the only time before christmas that there is a date available at one of the two big arena's in the uk. MEN and O2. That is the sole reason tht the fight is on this date Greg nothing to do with the Pac fight at all. ;)
Pac Hatton only did 300k on ppv, the Smae Hatton who did 1.4 million v Mayweather. On another note sky havne't even officialy announced the Pac fight is on sky yet have they?

Perhaps I didn't make it bold enough on my post where I stated "This is clearly not the case now though and I stand corrected."
But I digress.
