Why the fuck do all fighters who fight either Klit have to fight the other one?

Just listening to Adameks people on the bbc show and they say which ever Klit they agree to in Sept they have to fight the other one if they win? What is all the about, pisses me off that.

It keeps the money pool in the family, I guess. It's not right though, it's like Matthew Hatton telling each of his opponents that if he loses they must fight big, bad Ricky. That would never fly and yet it does for the Klits. It's bollocks really.

This is why I hate the Klitschko's and can't wait for them to retire.

Note though, that this clause is only inserted if you fight Wlad first. I'll bet Arreola didn't have it in his contract that if he won he had to fight Wlad.

Well Adameks manager has said which ever Klit he fights the deal is the same if he wins he fights the other brother. So it doesn't matter which brother he fights first he has to fight the other one.

These guys get away with some ridiculous stipulations. Vitali is the better fighter, anyone that thinks Wlad is the threat...pass that shit to me.:wackomz4:

Jesus you seriously can't have a clear view about the Klits, it doesn't matter if his brother is number 1 or 100 why the fuck should he have to fight the other brother if he wins? Let him make that decision as he will be the champion.

I would love for someone to beat Vitali and force Wlad into the position of saving the family name ;D He'd probably have a breakdown and come out.

It's true they are treated as though they are one entity; you go into negotiation with the brothers not one or the other. And usually punchers are made to face Vitali it's a complete joke if a fighter had Just beaten Wlad and wanted to fight a soft touch before fighting Vitali on his terms it would not be allowed The contract would probably treat the newly crowned champ unfavourably due to it being negotiated before he was champ.

It's basically a tag team the brothers via all opponents with Vitali used to mask all of Wlads vulnerability I mean the Areola that fought Vitali would have given Wlad a hell of a fight everyone knows he hates non stop relentless pressure etc it goes on it's a joke.

Cris Arreola has nothing for Wlad. Sure Arreola can take a punch but at the same time you have to realize that now'a'days Vitali fights at a slower pace than Wlad and Wlad has a better arsenal of punches. Plus Arreola was resigned to just last the distance after the first half of the fight.

You guys will see a whole new monster when he fights Chisora...it won't last long. Manny's going to have Wlad gunning for earlier more spectacular KO's and Wlad is very capable of delivering them given the state of the rest of the division.

As much as I dislike them, the keyword in amongst all of this is "if". Let's be honest, there aren't many people, if any people about that can beat one of them let alone both.

Plus if one of them did get beat, the public would be pushing for the winning fighter to fight the other brother anyway, so I don't think it's that much of a bad thing. Beat them both, you go into the HOF, it's a good opportunity, if only someone was able to take it.

But Chisora has like a dozen fights to his name against little more against domestic opposition. For Wlad's sake you would hope it won't last long. It's a really rubbish matchup. Arreola would obviously be much more geared to fight Wlad rather than Vitali because Wlad really is still very cautious. He does nothing but hug when in close and still paws with his jab. Arreola would at least try to bully him. Vitali has always been a better fighter than Wlad in my estimation too, he has all the balls in the family.

Either way there is no way you can excuse a bunch of brothers trying to put options on other fighters. This shouldn't be the mafia where it is all kept all in the family.

I don't know what goes on in these contracts, but I would imagine as part of the deal the second fight would be on a considerably better split than the first. If a fighter doesn't even try and negotiate the second fight they probably don't actually believe they will even get there!

Contracts are all full of so much bullshit and ego boosting across the board now.

it comes from the fact the divison is seen as very weak and the bros are at the top, theres never been two brothers at the top of the heavyweight divison and they aren't goner fight eachother so they use there power to put in the contract that clause....untill someone comes in a knocks them off they'll have there way lol. funny how other fighters will bow down and taht the fights but our so called saviour david haye somehow can't sign and carry out a contract with them

I like the klits but yes this stipulation is just plain stupid, how did brewster not have to do it back in 04 when he beat wlad? I thought it was because vitali was in his retirement at the time but not the case.

Has to be an ego thing or something because if you ever gave notice at the fights Wlad was stopped and Vitali was present he went out of control....I remember him having to be held back when Wlad fell to Sanders....Maybe they just want to be able to say you beat one of us but you did not beat the Klitschko name?.......Who knows...

As for those who think it is a bullshit stipulation well I agree to that on a somewhat limited basis ....Should it always be? No but hey only one way to change it right? Beat the brothers....IMO though I am a fan of them Vitili will fall first if we ever get a decent HW willing to trade and make him fight their fight....Wlad is just too sound scientifically....He keeps to his gameplan....I think Wlad is the harder hitter as well....Vitali has the higher KO% but he is more on volume while Wlad is just a fucking jackhammer.....

You guys bring all this stuff up (in other threads and other posts) about Chisora not being deserving (fine it doesn't bother me, its an OPTIONAL defense), about Wlad fighting 2 times in 8-9 weeks and how Wlad only fought 2 times in 2010 but a big reason for that is because he was waiting to sign a fight with the WBA title holder, same thing in 2009.

If Haye had chosen to fight Chisora PERIOD, we would never have heard the end of it. You'd have said he's fighting a 14 fight novice with no previous experience. Mock the Harrison defense all you like, but truth is the guy was a European Champion. He wasn't deserving, but he, like Sosnowski when he signed to fight Vitali, was European Champion. How is Chisora acceptable but Harrison not so much? Skel is right, you have double standards when it comes to the IBF & WBO title holder.

What does it matter? Look at the rest of his heavyweight opponents, Chisora would be an upgrade IMO. At least he's young and undefeated unlike Monte Barrett, Audley Harrison, etc.

to be honest the way the heavyweight division is at the moment fighting a young ubeaten boxer may carry a risk because most guys are in the 30's, somewhat fat and flabby flat footed with ???????? about there stamina, chin, and overrall tactical abillty...a young gun who may turn up to fight, throw hard shots with quicker feet then most might just land one on wlads chin and change the dynamic......lets all hope ahh

Because they are the kings of negotiating to suit themselves and if they don't get exactly what they want, when they want it, fights just don't happen.

I agree that champions should have more of a say than any contender when contracts are written but the Klits just take the piss. Could you really imagine Muhammad Ali for example saying to Joe Frazier, "right if you beat me you have to fight George Foreman straight after, otherwise you are in breach of our contract"??
