Khan needs to wake up and smell the Knockout...is he going to MAN up!!!!
So Amir thinks hes the Champion of the world does he...I say don't be so ridiculas.....if Amir ever mans up enough to finally fight any of the real Champions at this weight then fair play.....but I have a very sneeky hunch he and his pack of wolves family will opt for another weak challenger......and looking at the WBA's top 10 he has a endless supply of worthless challenges to feed his NO MARK fans with.....You might has well disregard contenders 4, 7, 8 & 9 cause Khan wont fight anyone with any sort of chance to make him look stupid and predictable or KTFO.....Kahn mate u might has well go back to Warren cause you aint fighting any one and if you do you know your sad little dream will end in a utter nightmare....You probably would have beaten McCloskey but don't fool yourself with the stoppage cause we saw enough of you to know Maidana riped the last piece of courage you had and now like a cowaring little girl you will hide behind your sham of a family and fight mostly obscure fighters from Bolivia or the likes.

Im not Amir Khan's biggest fan by any means, but he did fight Marcos Maidana who is a good power puncher. And was the most dangerous opponent at 140, plus he was a champion.
And Amir Khan showed some bottle taking all that punishment, in the later rounds and surviving. And now there's talks of him fighting Timothy Bradley next, so who else should he fight ?
Maidana, Bradley, are the best opponents for him at 140. I think this thread is way over the top, and he could unify all the belts in the summer so i don't really see the point of thread ?
Amir Khan has already manned up, and he's manning up again fighting Timothy Bradley.

Re: Khan needs to wake up and smell the Knockout...is he going to MAN up!!!!
Looking at the rankings you put up he's doing very well and taking the toughest challenges.
He's already beat Maidana, the interim challenger, McKloskey the number 4 and is probably fighting the number WBC champ next.
So interim champ, number 4 ranked and the WBC champ in sucessive fights not good enough for you?

The Bradley fight aint going to happen...Maidana fight wont happen......Khan is too weak menatally to take any sort of challenge now....Khan aint going to fight any one decent now and will opt into having 20 defences of his title against nobodies...Just thought I would let all TRUE boxing FANS know before he pulls out of any decent title challenge...u just wait and don't forget I told u!!!

Not really Otley does sometimes have some really weird opinions, i remember he once made a thread saying how he thought Breidis Prescot beat Kevin Mitchell.

He will beat Bradley by UD in the summer then move upto welterweight and get knocked out by Victor Ortiz.

I watched the fight and that scottish git Watts was exaggerating how brilliant Mitchell was doing...Watt was making out Mitchell was the next great white hope and we all know what happened in Mitchells only tilt at a Championship..I still feel there were some close rounds which could have gone to Prescott....it was alot closer than the judges scored it

It was one of the easiest fights to score a clear 8 rounds to 4 win for Kevin Mitchell, the only thing Breidis Prescott did was come forward and hit air all night long.

If you think running around the ring ducking punches cause your scared and holding on alot then you scored the fight correctly.....but in my opinion Mitchell didn't start fighting until Prescott got feed up of chasing him around the ring....after watching the fight again I hardly had Mitchell 1 or 2 up....but the way Watt was praising Mitchell was absolutly disgraceful and way to over biased and he needs to shut his damn trap....freaking 10-10 sit on the fence if my home fighter aint wining crap

i dont want him to lose but im not really bothered either way
maybe its coz i have to pay £15 everytime he fights
i never complained about paying that to watch hatton, haye or froch but for khan id rather not
thing is i wouldnt be able to sit at home knowing theres boxing on my TV without watching it

Re: Khan needs to wake up and smell the Knockout...is he going to MAN up!!!!
I don't see the point in this, Khan's only fought ranked opponents since he moved to 140 hasn't he? Took the title off Kotelnik, fought his mandatory, fought Malignaggi who was top 10 then fought Maidana who was regarded as the most dangerous challenge to Khan because of his power. So you either expect him to immediately rematch McCloskey who he just shutout and who offered absolutely nothing in the fight, purely because it was stopped prematurely or fight Maidana who he just recently beat, rather than go on to a unification fight with Bradley? I don't particularly like Khan but come on man, he's taking good fights. At least wait for him to announce his next opponent before you jump all over him, if it's not Bradley and its some soft touch then criticise him by all means.
I appear to be in the minority on here but I think Bradley will beat Khan.

Ok lets get this into some sort of perspective
Khan ran all night against Kotelnik.....Khan looked like a scared rabbit caught in on coming traffic
Malignaggi was the weakest of the weak and Malignaggi already proven he is cannon fodder at the weight
Maidana overrated big time after struggling with a life and death match against old Morales
McCloskey got robbed going the distance and making Khan look clueless...I wouldn't be surprised the ref and doctor got paid off and tiold to stop the fight the first possible sign of a cut!!!!
Job Biscuit (not a very good track record and I do believe the Khan clan think they are bigger than the WBA)!!!

So McCloskey got robbed of losing a 12 round shutout is what you're saying? He'd done absolutely nothing up until that point to suggest he'd even take a round in the remaining 6. I agree that the stoppage was premature and the cut wasn't bad at all, but its hardly helped Khan. It's cheapened the win somewhat because people are focusing on a poor stoppage and people can claim that McCloskey would have staged a miraculous comeback. I feel for McCloskey losing the fight that way, the cut wasn't bad and he definitely could have continued, but the fight stopping that way hasn't done Khan any favours so I don't see how anyone can think Khan and his team would have wanted the fight to end that way.
As for the rest of them, regardless of the performances he's still fought good opposition since he went to 140. Your original post was criticising his opposition and saying he won't fight anyone of note, I was just pointing out that he's fought some good fighters since he moved up and all the indications are that he's going to have a unification fight with Bradley in the summer. If you want to criticise him for taking soft touches, at least wait until he takes one over a fight with Bradley rather than saying it when he's fought good fighters at this weight and looks set to move onto arguably the best at 140

OK I agree with the bit in bold. He didn't looked impressive against McCloskey before the stoppage, I didn't think he looked great against Malignaggi and he was hanging on for dear life against Maidana. He showed nice resilience to get through to the end but it wasn't as comfortable as it probably should have been given how crude Maidana is and how he should have been able to outbox comfortably, rather than fading and end up hanging on for a close win
I was just defending his opponents at 140, not so much the performances themselves. For the record, I'm not a fan of Khan, and I didn't ever expect to defend him for anything. Frankly, I hope Bradley beats him and I think he will, I just don't agree that his choice of opponents at 140 haven't been up to scratch, and if he does fight Bradley next then I don't think any criticisms can be made their either.
And what the f*ck is a job biscuit?

Job Biscuit (not a very good track record and I do believe the Khan clan think they are bigger than the WBA)!!!
eh eh!!!
If you want to criticise him for taking soft touches, at least wait until he takes one over a fight with Bradley rather than saying it when he's fought good fighters at this weight and looks set to move onto arguably the best at 140
Regardless of success...he showed no class against Malignaggi & McClosky and winged it against Maidana......and Maidana has been proven he isn't really a force and Khan nearly got stopped by him....I wish you SHIT HAWKS would stop defending him and wake up and smell the roses....KHAN is a FRAUD and hes been very VERY LUCKY that he had enough legs to see out the fight with Maidana....Kahn should take up running the 100 metres cause thats all hes good for.....I want to watch boxing not a runner
Job Biscuit (dog music is a shot in the head by all rites)!!!!
eh eh!!!
He aint man enough to fight any one near the calibre of Bradley.....I would be very surprised if he takes the bait but if he does Khan will have to admit I was the one who embarrassed him in to fighting a true champ.....mark my words Khan didn't want to fight Maidana and fluked a win against a grade C fighter but wont be fluking a win against Bradley....cause ths fight aint going to HAPPEN!!!
Job Biscuit (Mother Teresa was my mummy)!!!
eh eh!!
