Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
According to Adam Booth.
Not come out during the ringwalk? ;D
Na, seriously though and considering he isn't going to outbox Wladm my theory is he's gonna come charging out at the sound of the first bell, like a released animal, giving Wlad absolutely no time to think and start throwing bombs in the hope of securing a very quick knock out. Wlad, obviously, doesn't like pressure but if Adam Booth doesn't thinks Wladimir will not anticipate this, he is very naive.
-
I expect Adam Booth to have a very specific plan still though. Little quotes like this are attempted mind games. Trying to get them thinking.
I'd laugh if Haye came out swinging! I'd love it, even if he got KO'd, it'd be great to see him caged animal style, comes out flying and swinging. He is quick, he could land a few.
I now hope that's what he does, but I'm still expecting a gentle evasion tactic from him.
-
Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
He's gonna come out and drop kick Wlad. Then flying elbow off the top turnbuckle.

I don't know about at the opening bell, but chances are Haye will pick his spots, and attempt some bull-rushes, not that it's going to do him any good, Wlad will be ready for it.
Haye figures to have some tricks up his sleeve, but here again, he isn't fighting some lumbering oaf like Valuev, or chumps like Barrett, Ruiz or Audley. Wlad is the best Heavyweight in the world, with advantages in size, skill, experience and devastating HW power, everything that might have worked for Haye before this fight, will fail July 2nd.
-
Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
TBH Booth is gaining a bit of a pedigree when it comes to drawing up gameplans for his fighters when they take on so called "better" opposition.
Theres no way on earth I expected Groves to fight like he did against DeGale, but the Booth masterplan worked.
Can't see him coming out swinging. I suspect they will have a plan to attack fairly early, be cagey for a while, then attack heavily at certain times throughout the fight. That way it keeps Wlad guessing.
If Haye keeps his discipline, sticks to whatever plan Booth has got, and doesn't get caught, I can see him winning a UD.

Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
David Haye is going to come out like Hagler and Hearns. If this thing settles down into a boxing match, Klit will out-duel him all night. Haye needs a sudden ferocious explosive thing to shock the fuck out of Klit early.
If Haye is going to win, he will win like LENNOX LEWIS BLEW AWAY ANDREW GOLOTA.
Otherwise, Klit is going to smoke Haye like a 20-cent Mexican cigarillo.
-
Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
I don't think that Manny cares about what Haye will try, it's all about what Wlad has to do in order to keep Haye at bay and to mash him down; piston jabs, when it connects, unload the big hand, Haye gets too close? uppercut or Grab, loop and repeat.
-
Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
That's what Wlad is expected to do so I guess that makes sense. The question is has booth came up with an unexpected tactic to overcome jab jab grab?

i dont think anybody is niave enough to think that booth is naive enough to think that wlad is naive enough to think that booth is naive enough to give haye sucha naive gameplan
unless its a double bluff?

It could happen. I think the game plan has to be along the lines of be either a million miles away from wlad or be sat on his chest and work him on the inside. Never be at mid range.
-
I believe they'll just try to get Wlad to over commit to a right cross and counter it. Good luck if that's the case.
Avoiding the jab is a key, but avoiding the hook and right cross is the more important issue and the only person to do that is Corrie Sanders.
I must say I am quite interested in how this guy plans to beat Wladimir...if he's out to try and score a UD that's just as ballsy as coming out swinging for the fences from the get go simply because nobody has ever done it or even attempted it.

Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
Long shot but if there was one thing, I think it'd be David trying a bit of switching up, boxing lefty.
Lefty, with wide feet... Just so at least his right foot is in Wlads kitchen.
I reckon with this, he might try dominate Wlad's left... He might throw out the right hand just to keep it up and working.. Try and dominate Wlad's left hand, turn it into a reactive weapon as opposed to a proactive one, read it and ultimately aim to land some bigger rights under and over Wlad's jab 'as and when'. Get Wlad on the go and then go to work.
Long shot, but that's what I think.

Personally (from a non professional trainer point of view), I could a see a tactics where he'd Ask Haye to quickly jump in, land big hands, turn right to avoid the big hand and go out of the "grab/uppercut" and repeat it, hoping that a big hand would land flush and send Wlad to sleep.

Im proud of you. You made a post on a topic about David Haye without insulting him! ;D

Re: Booth: "I guarantee they cannot predict what David is going to do on 2 July"
Adam Booth has come up with a few good game plans that weren't expected however thats what made them so good and effective. The Groves fight was a big one! I expect he is coming in this fight with a few game plans and i hope they succeed! He is a smart trainer i expect this to be his best work yet.

Right, Wlad just needs to keep doing more of what he's been successful doing. Haye's "wishful thinking" fans believe Haye is just going to unload on Wlad like he did that talentless, punching bag, Audley, but it ain't gonna happen.

Haye is very quick for a HW. He still has a very tall task (literally and figuratively).
When Haye fought Valuev he was able to move out of the way of Valuev's jab and straight right hand and just keep moving. While Wlad isn't as big as Valuev, he is alot bigger than Haye. Wlad's jab is relatively quick and is long. Wlad should be able to catch up to Haye with the jab by the end of round 2. When the jab starts landing, the fight is effectively over.
Haye has to hurt Wlad in the first 2 rounds or I don't see him winning.

Like i've said on other threads Capt, Haye's power @ HW is being overrated by the wishful thinking of his fans. There was some blithering idiot a few days ago saying that Haye had Valuev "badly hurt" in the final round of their fight. I watched the last round of that fight and all I saw was, Haye's fans and the announcers going berserk & overreacting, and Valuev losing his balance a bit after Haye threw a little left hook that couldn't have crushed a grape. BTW, I never did see where Haye did enough to take Valuez's title away, so as far as i'm concerned, Haye ain't even a HW champion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SISRW7_XS0
So I don't really see Haye's "power" being an issue for Wlad, and I don't see Haye "exploding" or rushing in and hurting Wlad in the first few rounds. If he tries that bullshit, he's either going to have a heavy jab in his face or get KTFO by a big right hand straight down the pipe. The bottom line, Haye won't be able to KO or hurt Wlad, and he won't be able to outpoint/outbox Wlad if this somehow goes to a decision.
Haye has no heart and no chin and he fights like a fucking amateur. If he somehow survives the first 7 or 8 rounds and doesn't get flattened, he'll quit on his stool from the pounding he takes, like the pussy he really is.

What's "warped" is the way that Haye has been over-rated and over-hyped by himself and by the Brit media. This isn't about "hate", i'm just being objective about your boy, some of you could use a reality check.
BTW, if it turns out that i'm wrong about Haye, it's no skin off my ass, and it won't be my first "crow buffet". I give my opinion about fights and fighters, and will admit when i'm wrong, i'll be back here July 3rd, to man up and take my medicine. :)

I'm not saying that Haye, can't hurt Wlad, i'm saying he won't be able to, he'll be too busy running and getting pummeled to throw many effective punches of his own. These days, Wlad's chin is not nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be, Haye would need to land more then just a few big shots to take Wlad out, and that ain't gonna happen.
And yes, I definately know how to hurt Wlad, just take his Michael Jackson CD's away..:(

What the hell are you watching? The whole boxing world knows that Valuev was hurt no one slips around like that, he isn't on an ice rink! I'm not trying to make an argument for you to reply to. What would be the point all its going to be is hate for David Haye and i can go read that on the internet without writing a huge essay to continue the argument.

I think Haye and Booth are just trying to derail Wlad from his game plan, to sow some doubt in his mind because they know that Wlad has all the tools and advantages to cause problems to Haye; Advantage in reach, size, power and technique, that is a huge challenge for Haye just here.

I'm saying both, Haye's power is overrated at HW and the power he does have, isn't an issue for Wlad because Haye won't be able to use it effectively. You're just nitpicking, is this your best argument? Instead finding "flaws" in my posts, why don't explain why you believe your boyfriend Haye is going to pull off a fucking miracle July 2nd. :)

Whatever, I see it differently, calling him briefly off balance, a "chicken dance" is just fucking laughable, as for hate... whatever, is that your best argument?

What the hell are you watching? The whole boxing world knows that Valuev was hurt no one slips around like that, he isn't on an ice rink! I'm not trying to make an argument for you to reply to. What would be the point all its going to be is hate for David Haye and i can go read that on the internet without writing a huge essay to continue the argument.
They do? I guess you must speak for the whole boxing world. :) nice to know.
Quit acting like a douche, and can the fucking "hate for David Haye" bullshit, we're talking about boxing here, this ain't cricket or tennis OK?
If Valuev was so "badly hurt", like some of you seem to think he was, and not just knocked off balance for a few seconds, why did he seem so unfazed, steady on his feet and start backing Haye up 10 seconds after it happened? Is that how someone "badly hurt" reacts, I think not. :)
Haye's fans in the crowd, and the announcers start pissing themselves and getting hysterical, because they assumed Valuev was "badly hurt", but he really wasn't, he's just a lumbering Ox with shit for balance.
It would be interesting to hear what Valuev had to say about about the 12th round and the punch.

Right, Wlad just needs to keep doing more of what he's been successful doing. Haye's "wishful thinking" fans believe Haye is just going to unload on Wlad like he did that talentless, punching bag, Audley, but it ain't gonna happen.
I think Haye and Booth are just trying to derail Wlad from his game plan, to sow some doubt in his mind because they know that Wlad has all the tools and advantages to cause problems to Haye; Advantage in reach, size, power and technique, that is a huge challenge for Haye just here.
I have no doubt that Haye will have some tricks up sleeve, the thing is Wlad has been there done that, Haye's mind games won't mean jack shit come fight night.
I'd like to see Wlad turn up the heat on Haye right from the opening bell, put the pressure on, take Haye out of his game plan, and let this clown know he's there to to fuck him up.

So I don't really see Haye's "power" being an issue for Wlad, and I don't see Haye "exploding" or rushing in and hurting Wlad in the first few rounds.
are you saying haye doesnt have the power to hurt wlad?
Honestly man, i have the power to hurt wlad, you might even have it too :)
I'm not saying that Haye,
can't hurt Wlad, i'm saying he won't be able to, he'll be too busy running and getting pummeled to throw many effective punches of his own. These days, Wlad's chin is not nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be, Haye would need to land more then just a few big shots to take Wlad out, and that ain't gonna happen.
And yes, I definately know how to hurt Wlad, just take his Michael Jackson CD's away..:(
no you wasnt saying that
you said hayes power is overrated at hw so his power isnt an issue for wlad

:) are you sure you havent changed your story?
and i am glad you have asked me that question
just this moring i have been watching wlads fights on you tube, yes he hasnt been down since peter 1 but every single time without fail that any punch has gone anywhere near his chin he has looked shakey.
and looking at some of the times he has been Knocked down punches have hardly landed, and looking through his record since peter 1 haye has by far the best combination of power and speed out of all his opponents, by a long long way
my opinion was always wlad was favourite, but the more i watch him fight the more confident i am of haye winning, in fact i would say its a 50/50 fight now
p.s. when reading through both our posts on the subject mine are much more objective considering strengths and weeknesses of both fighters whilst yours heavily favour wlads strengths and hayes weeknesses, so if anyones anyones boyfriend i would say you are well loved up in with the big klit, second only to the love struck lyle :)

valuev did a funny little dance, haye hurt him
wlad never knocked down sam peter tho in their last fight, peter just felt a bit bored, is that how someone who is knocked down reacts? i think not, all he did was lie on the floor in the ring
he got up several minutes later and looked steady on his feet

That made me chuckle. That is exactly what Wlad is going to do.
