Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Is Bradley's form superior to Khan's?
Bradley form
Witter - Top 5 ranked (when Bradley beat him). Currently unranked.
Holt - Top 10 ranked. Currently unranked.
Campbell - Unranked. Currently unranked.
Peterson - Top 10 ranked. Current top 10 ranked.
Alexander - Top 5 ranked. Current top 5 ranked.
NONE of Bradley's opponents have done a single thing since he beat them. In fact most have REGRESSED. Witter and Campbell have lost to "journeymen," Holt got stopped by Mabuza, Peterson got a "lucky" draw against Ortiz and Alexander has a controversial decision over Matthysse. On a formline through Witter, Alexander is Bradley's best opponent (considering Alexander beat Witter too). However, Alexander has a controversial win over Kotelnik, a man Khan pitched a shutout against.
Khan's form
Kotelnik - Top 10 ranked. Current top 10 ranked.
Malignaggi - Top 10 ranked. Moved divisions.
Maidana - Top 5 ranked. Current top 5 ranked.
McCloskey - Top 10 ranked. Current unranked.
Judah - Top 10 ranked. Current top 10 ranked.
Should Bradley still be no.1? Discuss......

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Khan should be ranked no.1 at 140, no doubt about it. Bradley is right after him at two. The thing is i can't call any of them 'CHAMPION'. Bradley's best win is Alexander (the man who likes to jab in the air and gloves while screaming was previously beaten by Kotelnik and then lost to Mathyse). Khan should give Maidana a rematch cuz that fight was very close and Amir was almost stopped.

It's close still. Quick question: wasn't Nate Campbell a top 5 or 10 ranked junior welterweight when he fought Bradley? I think it boils down to how highly you ranked Judah. Prior to this fight, I would say Bradley takes it. Now, I would probably say it's a draw or Khan barely edges it. I always thought people were overrating Judah a bit. I thought he'd lose against the top guys in the division, and I thought he lost against Matthysse. But, I think the Maidana win may be the best win of the bunch. Probably Khan edges it.
I hope Khan stays at junior welterweight for a Bradley fight, but I completely understand if he moves on. Truthfully, I think he has the potential to dominate the junior welterweight division and that there are enough other fights for him to make there - Matthysse, Guerrero, win or lose if it is close, Marquez after Pacquiao, Soto if Soto decides to fight a live body. He's young enough to dominate the division for a couple of years and then move up. I guess the enticement of a Mayweather fight is enough to make him think about jumping up.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
I agree, Bradley is inactive and I dont think he has the power to bother Khan. I think Khan beats him up to win a UD or late TKO.
Khan No.1 at 140. FACT!

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
I just checked Ring to make sure something hadn't changed over the weekend. Be interesting to see their view this week.
Wouldn't be at all suprising to see Kahn move to #1 based, as much as anything, on Bradley's inactivity.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Shut it missy. Khan and Pac are the only two fighers to ever beat the real living shit out of the legenfd Barrera. Fact.
Poor Marco put up a good fight though/; Not so gpood agaisnt Khan.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Zab's been passed around more than a warm bottle of cheap dime store wine in back of a soup kitchen. I would have still liked to see what happened if he actually landed a punch on Khan though ;D

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
There resumes are comparable, pretty close resumes if you ask me.
I think it's fair to rate Khan at 1 based on him being more active than Bradley has at 140 over the past 2 years.
It doesn't really matter who ranks at 1 or 2 because it's clearly between them two right now.
What needs to happen is a Khan - Bradley fight. Once Shaw's contract with Bradley expires and Bradley gets a new deal done, we get Khan vs Bradley hopefully.

Bradley could hurt Khan, he hits hard enough to have earned better beards' respect. I am not sure he can stop Khan with his power, but you don't need to stop someone to beat them. Winky Wright and Floyd Mayweather didn't stop guys, but you didn't see guys walking through their punches.
-
Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
I think any ranking between them is splitting hairs really. They are clearly the two best fighters in the division, I'd have them both equal first with Maidana third.
No doubt Khan has done more lately though.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Khan needs to forget Mayweather for now, there are still fights at 140 that need to happen. Mayweather would school him at this moment in time. The only risk for Mayweather is getting old and rusty because of inactivity.
The Bradley fight must happen and also i believe he has to fight the winner of Guerrero v Maidana.
-
Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
This is what should happen . . .
Zab vs Bradley on the undercard of Pacman vs JMM 3
or
on the same card of
Khan vs Brook or Morales
BTW, Khan is #1
I'm so glad Khan said Bradley is not on the list as the next opponent. Forcing Bradley to go get a fight.
Soto or Alexander.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
I'm not particularly fussed about seeing Khan fight Bradley in terms of excitement but it needs to happen to decide #1.
I reckon the maidana fight was a good performance by Morales but i dont see him being strong enough for Khan.
I can't separate Khan and Bradley

Bradley wants to move up tp 147 himself. Those same fighters I mention earlier would be a good match up for Bradley as will as Khan.
140 . . .
Soto
Alexander
Morales
M&M
147 . . .
Brook
Jones
Berto
And for Bradley only, Clottey and Holt and Mosley;D

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
I think Khan would beat Bradley. Bradley is a pressure fighter, doesnt have the best form, doesnt really have power but is always in top shape. I think Khan with his height advantage, quickness and power would keep Tim at bay and bust him up.
Khan by UD. I think it will be an easier fight for Khan than Maidana because Bradley doesnt have the power.

You need to watch more Bradley fights because he's more than a pressure fighter.
He's actually a very well rounded boxer also with good form. Watch his fights with Peterson and Abregu for examples.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Both have unified titles this year right? Time to voltron these belts. The difference between these guys can only be settled in the ring, I just hope they meet up now that Bradley has a new promoter. I think this would be a super messy fight, Khan likes to swarm in and lean down on shorter fighters necks (a la Wlad), Bradley likes to swing wide and punctuate with a head butt right up the middle. Can't see this going more than 4 rounds because of cuts given that situation. Aside from the resume, Khan wins the physical advantages for sure, reach, hand speed, foot movement. It's a fight that needs to happen to clear the division, but I think if it actually occurs it will no doubt dissapoint.

shame khan has to keep cheating his way to victory by headbutting them:rolleyes:

This thread is shit. Fact.
With sober reflection I believe this topic is utterly pointless. They both have pretty equal form. It doesn't even matter who is rated no.1

this whole forum would close with that attitude.

Interesting. I wasn't aware Bradley had ruined that many fighters.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Bradley should be classed as number 1 because he has earned the right by fighting the best and taking on all comers. He has stalled a bit because of contractual issues and certainly wants a shot at Manny Pacquia. Amir needs to defeat Bradley to be considered the best at the weight but how long should he wait and how can he force the man to enter the ring with him, if Bradley does not want it, before it is recognised that Amir should be the rightly number 1? Both fighters should forget about Manny and Floyd and fight one another. Bradley is certainly using Khan as a backup should he fail against Pacquia.

Not that it makes much difference, but Khan shouldn't be ranked over Bradley, who was dominating the division before Khan threw his hat in the ring as a Jr. WW.
Styles make fights, and this figures to be a good one, and like I said on another thread, this fight makes the most sense for both Pugs, and like you said Master, forget about Manny and Floyd and fight one another.

Bradley is an ambitious chicken shit.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Ring has now placed Khan at #1 and Bradley at #2 at 140.
Strangely Bradley remains ranked in the p4p list while Khan is not.

Tis strange isn't it?
I could understand it if Bradley was moving through the weight classes but not when he's been there his entire career. It's got to be typo, ya?

I agree, It made sense for a while that Manny was #1 p4p and not the top of any division. But in THIS case? Weird.

Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Bradley is a throwback to boxers of the past, a tough guy. Khan may have a better punch but Bradley will get inside and hand him a beating. This would be a defining fight for Khan at this weight but I would not write Bradley off. He has been the under dog and made fools of the critics. Khan will do better on the outside but he is not a rough and tumble guy and Bradley is. MY Perception until the decision is in is 50-50 depending on who stays in their comfort zone the longest.
-
Re: Khan Ranked No.1 at 140 NOT Bradley. Fact.
Bradley has guts, but , I think Khan wins a close decision . He has the height, reach and boxiing 101. Close fight though

Good post, some boxing fans seem to believe that Khan is a world beater now that he's defeated journeyman Jab Judah, which honestly I don't get. They also seem to forget that Khan was destroyed by Prescott, and about 2 good punches away from being KTFO by Maidana.
Win, lose or draw, i'll be pulling for Bradley if this fight ever happens, but I believe he'll win a close decision.
