World Athletics championships
Anyone watching the World Athletics championships in Daegu, South Korea. Bolt was disqualified which is a travesty and a rule change should happen before the Olympics.
Jessica Ennis is blowing the chance for the gold because she screwed the javelin event.

I'd love Jessica Ennis to blow me, and then I'll screw her for the main event. She is seriously fuckable.

Athletics is second only to womens beach volley ball.

Re: World Athletics championships
The rules are same for everyone but having just one false start in the 100 metres is bullshit. Aren't we supposed to encourage world records and fast times etc..
Its TV scheduling that dictated the rule - and ultimately lost its main attraction because of it.
Well done the other guy that won it , can't even remember his name (Blake ?), but winning a gold with a time of 9.92 is hardly setting the world alight. It will be remembered as the final where the top three didn't take part.
Usain Bolt is awesome and will go onto be the second greatest sprinter of all time - but there will never be another Alan Wells and he wil always be in his shadow.

Agreed, there will only ever be one 'Wipper' Wells. Although Michael Roswess and Ernie Obeng were great too!

Re: World Athletics championships
I just hope Tom McKean can pull it out of the bag in the 800m and give us our first gold

Re: World Athletics championships
Jessica Ennis is seriously hot for sure, very nice, the complete package i'd say. But on to athletic matters...I don't think her Javelin performance should be blamed for her not winning. Give credit to the winner, Chernova. Fact is even if Ennis had beaten her entire Heptathlon total PB by 50pts or so she still would have lost to Chernova. Its worth putting Ennis' performance in overall context as well; Ennis hit 3 PBs in her 7 events and surpassed her overall total she won a gold with in the 2009 world championships by 20pts. Chernova was simply too good on this occasion.
The false start rule I agree is BS. Imagine if the same thing happened in this world championships happens in the 2012 Olympics? A stupid rule costs everyone seeing Bolt run and the best Brit (Chambers) gets DQ'd in the blocks in the semi meaning there is no Brit in the final. Im sure everyone watching will love that! NOT. Change the rule back to a yellow card for the entire field if there is 1 false start.

Re: World Athletics championships
The Channel 4 coverage has been an absolute shambles. Who's not been cringing at how bad that young presenter is? Michael Johnson has looked totally embarrassed for him and probably thinks it's a wind-up show or something. At one point JOhnson started conducting interviews and calling the ad breaks. Unreal. Sue Barker to Ortis Deley.

That is how fast he is, when he was born he ran out to Scotland and people think he is Scottish. :)
