I have never been a fan of Pavlik, in fact I've enjoyed watching him take some beatings, but at this point I just feel kind sorry for him. He's an exciting fighter with a lot of talent whose person demons have just gotten the better of him. I hope he manages to salvage his career.
He just looks like an idiot now! Maybe Cunningham still wants to kick his ass, give him 1st dibs
The guy has proven to be thoroughly unreliable. If I had a middleweight I'd never sign to fight him. Why? Because I think the odds are 50/50 he won't follow through.
He can go fuck himself.
Pavlik is a silly sausage. I've always liked him, but he has royally screwed his career up. He just needs to get back in the ring, fight for pennies and build up support and trust again. He needs to do it through graft and self discipline. He has likely been on the sauce for a couple of months and had a moment of lucidity, it's anyone's guess whether he is for real anymore.
The guy has screwed up multi-million dollar paydays by not following through and canceling at the last minute. He's done it not once but multiple times.
The guy is unreliable. And I say his career is probably over. He should just go away. Go to Canada and be a left leaning hippie.

I wish Pavlik would have stuck to his guns. If he really felt like he wasn't getting paid enough and was getting jerked around then I could respect that.
But, to come out now and practically beg for a fight makes him look like an idiot.
I think it's more about the fact that he acknowledges that he didn't do it right. It would have made sense to fight Cunningham, win, and then stand back and say he wanted more money to fight Bute. To back out of the Cunningham fight with only one week before the fight over money was a weak move.Quote:
