Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
November 12th
The 1st two fights were brawls between 2 equally matched warriors, the 3rd fight figures to be more of the same. However, Pacquiao figures to be bigger, stronger, and more talented then he was in the last fight between these two, in 2008.
I don't believe this one will go the distance, Pacquiao will give Marquez a brutal beat-down for 8 rounds and then stop him for the 1st time in his career, in one of the final rounds.
BTW, this will be for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight trinket, but fought at a Catchweight of 144 lbs.
Who ya kats got and why?

I think people are underestimating JMM somewhat, i agree Manny Pacquiao is the favourite. But JMM arguably beat Manny Pacquiao twice so i don't think it will be one sided, i still think JMM gives Manny Pacquiao stylistic problems.
But its the age and moving up in weight im worried about, i just hope my boy JMM gives a good account of himself which im sure he will. He's a warrior and doesn't duck anyone and IMO beat Manny Pacquiao twice.

Marquez is tough little SOB, there's no doubt about it, and he gave Manny fits in the first 2 fights. The thing is, Pacquiao has improved light-years since 2008, and JMM has not, i'm seeing a one-sided beatdown in this one and the ref or Marquez' corner stopping it somewhere after the 8th round.

Or is that he's been given opponents that make him look that way ? have you noticed all of Manny Pacquiao's opponents have all been come forward fighters ? that's not the style that trouble's Manny Pacquiao.
Guy's like Margarito, Hatton, are cannon fodder for Manny Pacquiao, i don't really think Manny Pacquiao has improved since he destroyed David Diaz at Lightweight.

I've got to disagree with you there, Pacquiao has improved immensely since he started moving up in weight, especially his power and skill level.

Has he though ? he knocked out Hatton i'll give you that, but Hatton had no defence and was being rocked by former Lightweight's like Lazcano. I just think Manny Pacquiao is so much faster than his opponents that he overwhelms them, i don't think his power is any real better than when he beat up David Diaz.
The style that trouble's Manny Pacquiao is a counter punching style, not someone who comes forward looking to exchange punches. Which is what all of Manny Pacquiao's opponents have been since JMM, i think its style issue here.

I'm not trying to argue, but you don't think blasting out Hatton, busting up Oscar, Cotto, and Margarito (all bigger men) showed an improvement in Pacquiao's power?

I just think he was so much faster, i mean anyone would get busted up. Being hit over 300+ times and Margarito got hit i just checked 474 times. It's the speed difference not the power so much.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Pacquiao by mid-round knockout in a surprisingly one-sided fight. Marquez is done.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
" pac improved light years since 08 " thats the silliest thing ive heard on awhile. No, he didnt improve that much. Hes pretty much the same guy. He only looks better now because hes fighting bigger guys who cant handle his speed.
And no, its not not going to be one sided.

ICB,
If really think Pac didn't improve that much and JMM beat him twice, then you wouldn't a problem accepting a sig bet with me right?
;D

If you think that's silliest thing you've heard in a while, you must not read your own posts. You sound like a wannabe LA street thug, who likes to stir up shit on this forum, good luck with that shit homie.
It's not "silly" to believe that Pacquiao has improved immensely in all areas of his game the last 4 or 5 years or he wouldn't be handling these bigger pugs with ease that he does.

Im not saying JMM will win read my post, i just don't agree JMM gets a one sided beating. When in the past he's clearly given Manny Pacquiao hell twice, JMM is older now and is moving up in weight which is why Manny Pacquiao's team are taking the fight.
As for sig bets not interested im not even on here that often.

C'mon man. Just give it a shot.
How about 2 months? That would give you a chance to avenge your Darchinyan and DLH loses.

PSL, who's the biggest Pacquiao hater on the forum?
I know there has to be some Flomos on the forum, they all hate Pacquiao, you could get a sig-bet going with one of them.

Just saying dude, u describe pac as is if he's " immensely" improved from 08 but that just shows how untrained your eyes are.

Darchinyan ? i've never had a bet regarding Darchinyan, im not a fan of the guy. The bet's i've had are MAB, ODLH. I didn't think ODLH would be walking zombie which he was, and i said before hand quite clearly i knew MAB was going to lose, but i stuck with him because i've been fan of the guy for years.
Im not interested in any bets i had a bet with Rains regarding JMM/Pacquiao 2, and i thought JMM won but i had to follow through with the bet.
Im not childish PSL im not interested in revenging anything, its stupid bet which means nothing. Im just not interested in any bets, i just want to enjoy the fight and im hoping JMM gives good account of himself.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Manny is a different beast compared to the last time these two fought.
Pac wins with a beat down, he will get caught a few times with JMM's wicked counters but not enough to worry Manny.
Late stoppage or wide UD for Manny. My guess is he will want to stop him and better the performance of Floyd against JMM.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Everyone seems to forget that JMM can do something no one else has been able to do against Pac...hit him while hes moving in and out and mid combo. Everyone else gets caught up in defense and becomes gun shy, JMM doesnt and wont. He will hit pac more than he has been hit in his last 3 fights ;)

Dont get me wrong Snakey, not saying he wont hit Pac, he will, just dont think he will be as effective as he was last time out against him. Pac gets hit, and has been hit hard by his past few opponent's, Margarito clocked him a good few times without really denting the Pac, and I would give Margarito the edge on power over JMM.
Carnt wait for it, but again Pac wins for me ;)
-
You have to make Pacquiao a solid favorite in this fight. Age and weight both favor him.
We know Marquez will never quit or stop trying like Clottey, Mosley, etc. He's a true champion, and as long as he's standing, he'll be trying to win. I just wonder at this age/weight if he'll be able to weather an early knockdown the way he did in the first 2 fights.

It only took one fight (not 3) for Floyd to beat him clearly, just sayin'.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
If they fought a few months after their 2nd fight, I would give JMM a better chance. After all these years JMM has had tougher battles, has more wear and tear, going up in weight won’t help his punching power and resistance, etc. Pac wins this time, clearly.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
I'm willing to take part in a 1 month avatar bet that the fight is close not that Marquez will win cause I doubt he will but if he wins more than 3 rounds on judges scorecards i win otherwise you do i'll change me avatar to whatever you choose.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
2 scenarios, manny wins a shutout ala pbf, or loses some rounds only to kayo jmm late in the fight. dont see jmm winning this fight.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Manny wins but hope JMM sees it to the judges.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
It's hard to see Pacquiao losing this one, with the physical differences thrown into the mix with this iteration. On the other hand, Marquez is an unequivocally one of the finest boxers ever (at least in my opinion) - it's equally hard to see anything other than yet another amazing contest between these two.
This fight should erase the bad taste left by the last two big main events. Really can't wait to see this one.

I see Manny winning by a TKO this time Master, but JMM has never been stopped so it's very possible he goes the distance, he's one tough hombre.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
I stand by the point that I made before Mayweather fought Ortiz. Mayweather would have an easier time with Ortiz than Manny would with JMM. I still believe that to be true.
I like Manny in this one. He's the favorite for a reason. I can see him stopping Marquez or a winning a clear decision, but there will be some bumps in the road on his way to victory.

if manny loses a single round vs jmm, its pretty apparent that pac has no shot vs floyd.

I favor Floyd over Manny anyway. My point was just that Ortiz wasn't much of a challenge to Floyd and Marquez will be a challenge to Manny.
Marquez is the right kind of fight to have before fighting Floyd. Manny needs to test himself more against defensive counter punchers. Bradley is a good fight, but Bradley isn't the style that prepares you for Floyd.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
This could be the fight thay proves manny is a roider :)
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Marquez has been slumping lately and getting dropped by lesser fighters than Pacquiao and his punch resistance seems to be waning. Add that on top of the fact he's fighting at Welterweight again which is Pacquiao's natural weight nowadays I see Pacquiao winning this fight and getting more credit than he should but oh well that's always the case. If marquez wins I'll be pleasantly surprised. But they'd only take this fight if it looked like Martinez was slipping and Freddie apparently thinks Marquez has a lot less to beat Pacquiao with so we'll see if he's right.

if manny loses a single round vs jmm, its pretty apparent that pac has no shot vs floyd.
I totally agree Bradley is no way style or talent wise similar to Floyd, JMM will be more of a challenge. I hope PAC blasts JMM outta there (not that I wish harm on Marquez for I like the man), to make PAC vs PBF more interesting. Like you I do believe PBF has the upper hand, because of his size and skill.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Is Joe Cortez the referee?
Too bad, because sucker punches are fun! In fact most non-PPV afficionados worldwide, would gleefully welcome seconds for the return of the sucker punch... It is quite entertaining, especially the two-punch combinational, which is a good alternative if one lacks the power to efficiently deliver successfully, the entry level, single punch variety. :)
******** ********* *********
Juan Manuel Marquez the cerebral pugilist will fight at his backpedalling/counter-punching best, but hopefully, not misguided nor enlightened from any or nearly to that from a Narvaez/Mosley/Clottey perspective.
Two scenarios... Dull, UD points win for Pac or if JMM brought mustard, Pac KO within 5!
At any rate... an assured third loss for Pacquiao in the very pop and considered mainstream, Marquezspeak! Absolute;y!
T-shirts that read, I beat Paquiao three times are now selling briskly, as we Marquezspeak!;)
