I wish Christmas would sod off and let me enjoy winter in peace
Today has really ignited my curmudgeonly instincts, as I am sick and tired of crappy group emails with shitty little gif's. The fact that most people finish today and I'm in tomorrow doesn't help, but by this point I properly hate Christmas.
I think the white witch had it right, always winter and never Christmas. Sounds good to me.

Thanks Lyle...I think that last picture is the one that saved Christmas for me!

Me too. But if Santa can drop my new headphones off i'd be much obliged. That aside, forced fun. Four fucking days of it, til i go back to work next week.

I'll admit, the magic has worn off since coming to the realization he (Santa Clause) don't exist, or simply died long ago.
This last year has been the longest in my life...

Oh and winter blows too. Fuck you and your complaints until you know 7 days straight of -30C and as much as 5 feet of snow in as short a period.
Other then that though, got nothing but love.

Quit living in Canada and swap places with me then! I love cold weather, and the summer in the UK (I know...up to 25C some days!) is just too warm for me.
Then again, -30 is kind of a more practical problem than regular rain and occasional freezing.

Rest of the holiday can now rank off.

I might be trying too hard to seem bitter. We barely have any snow yet and feel a bit ripped off tbh. Know I'd miss the climate in a hurry. Though Christmas is genuinely starting to blow each passing year.

I was working the 10am till 3pm shift today, and the company policy suggested that the manager had authority to release staff from 12.30pm onwards. Except she decided to release herself and let everyone else stay till 3. B****.

Re: I wish Christmas would sod off and let me enjoy winter in peace
My partner gave me a digital electronic multi-meter for Christmas. She wanted me to fix our TV, which conked out after watching almost 20 James Bond movies. I told her, 'hon's, you don't need those stuffs to fix the tv'; of course, that was my way of saying I don't know how to used them things. There's no technician around here in the jungles so I'm forced to do the job myself. I checked around the net and most said that I just needed to replace some capacitors and so I ordered some on eBay. Hope it works... That's called a 'labor of love,' folks.

I'm sure I'd be willing to trade those for the inevitable socks and underwear that will be torn open tomorrow morning. TV is overrated anyway.

Haha, I know what you mean and it may seem a bit strange but I've been actually missing those old fashion Christmas activities and gatherings and all the things that comes with it. Me and my mate have been living 'isolated' for some time now, far from most relatives, so we haven't had much hassles that comes with Christmas. As for the kids, well we have four of 'em (we used to have 15) and all they nag us for Christmas (and for that matter, most of the time) are freshly fished tunas, and they meow a lot too.;) Well anyway, hope enjoy your vacation, mate.

After more than 30 years, we've past that stage a long time back, buddy. we're bit too old for that now.;)
