ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
it doesnt really matter does it? Theres 1, 2, then the rest.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
He is probably right, with the right mentality, I think Haye has far more skills than any other heavyweight.
The fight against Chisora will answer a lot of questions as he should get dragged into a war. If he can stop Chisora, then no question he is 3rd.
But on that evidence, that would probably make Fury 4th!
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
Still waiting on him to make good on his claim that he would "Clean up the heavyweight division"...who cares where Booth says he is in the division? It doesn't much matter, Haye said himself that he might "retire" (again) if he doesn't get a big fight vs Vitali or Wlad after this Chisora bout.
Haye is athletic and he has some natural ability, but he isn't busy enough in the ring. He might be Top 10, but hell the guy has only ever fought 2 top 10 heavyweights Valuev (who he barely beat) and Wlad who schooled him. To say he's a solid 3rd best heavyweight in the world is a bit of hyperbole....I am certain other heavyweights would have something to say about that.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
he's not active enough to justify that claim.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
on the lowside of the top 10
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
Haye hasnt done anything at heavyweight to prove he has that ranking. If we are going off their last performances then Chisora is the 3rd best heavy behind the Klitschkos. Chisora was competative and made Vitali fight. Haye was uncompetative and made a fucking pig ugly fight using gay, spastic, sissy tactics of falling over;D
Its a joke anyone believes that Haye is a top heavy. He fought Bonin, Barret, Ruiz, Harrison and was very lucky to get a decision against Valuev, in fact Holyfield looked better! Then that pathetic performamce against Wladamir!
Haye did well to get yo where he is using his gob alone as the opponents he fought hardly led anyone to believe he is as good as either klitschko and his performance versus one was leagues below Chisoras! In fact, had Chisora and Haye fought the other brother, Haye would have been stopped and Chisora might just have worn Wlad down;)
Tyson Fury beats Haye and so does Chisora. He does have crisp fast punches but not a wide variety. He has no head or upper body movement which is why he just sidesteps and skirts the ring and has no stamina when made to fight. Chisora will wear him down and stop him around the 8th round and I reckon Haye will be too much of a coward to take his beating like a man and will fake an injury between rounds:cool:
-
As much as hayes last performance let the uk down. He is the 3rd best heavyweight..but who cares.
Fight vlad or vitali or dont bother fight again.

No....he's not. You do have to prove these things and so far Haye has only proven he can just barely squeak by so-so opposition in Valuev and Ruiz.
Haye lacks the mental strength and intestinal fortitude to be a legit heavyweight. Perhaps he shows everyone a thing or two vs Chisora but it's too little too late, his brand is that of a chicken. A shit talking wannabe gangster that folds up like a cheap lawn chair when he's met his match. Chisora is just "special"
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
i'd rank ali and foreman and norton and lennox and holmes and tyson and golota and bowe and douglas and holyfield and moorer and akinwande and tua and rahman and sanders and peter and jones jr ahead of him.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
I'd place him in the top 10....Top 5 is debatable. For me he isn't active enough to warrant such a high ranking.
Compare his heavyweight resume to other top heavies.
Haye: Barrett TKO5, Valuev MD12, Jawny KO9, Audley KO3, Bonin KO1
Pulev: Skelton KO4, Guinn UD8, Vidoz UD8, Rossy KO5, Walker UD12, Sprott KO9, Dimitrenko KO11
Povetkin: Ahunanya W6, Donald UD10, Byrd KO11, Chambers UD12, Estrada UD10, Chagaev UD12, Boswell KO8, Huck MD12
Adamek: Golota KO5, Estrada UD12, Arreola MD12, Grant UD12, Aguilera UD10, Chambers UD12
Helenius: Bidenko KO3, Brewster KO8, Tony KO6, Peter KO9, Liakhovich KO9, Chisora SD12
Chambers: Rossy KO7, Guinn UD10, Brock SD12, Peter MD10, Dimitrenko MD12, Rossy UD12

Truer words have never been spoken.
(But for the record..... I don't even think that distant # 3 spot is his).

Nah. I put him up there regardless. Certainly in the top 5. He performance against vlad was disgusting. Hope he gets another shot at the brothers end of this year.
I dislike what he is but he has still got the potential.

Yes exactly. Based on the last few fights I have to say Chisora is #3. He dominated Helenius and Haye is yet to beat anyone as good as Helenius.
I don't think Chisora will stop Haye, but I do think he will outwork Haye's pitiful tortoise like punches per round en route to a decision.
Outside of a big hail mary punch, I don't see Haye beating Chisora.
Chisora is a man possessed when he is in shape, he will put it on Haye.
-
I think Haye is clearly the most talented/skilled heavyweight other than the Klitschkos.... which is what made his no-show performance against Wlad so disappointing.

Based on what? His fights vs Barrett, Valuev, & Ruiz? Face facts he was a solid cruiserweight, but at heavyweight he has yet to prove himself but he has been given plenty of chances to do so. You run your mouth (for years) and you come up empty and people will judge you based on what you said you were going to do and quite frankly I'm not that impressed. Haye fought Wlad the way Sultan Ibragimov fought Wlad...it was a huge disappointment and Haye should have stayed retired.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
He's retired and not fought yet, so he can't be rated. If and importantly how he dispatches of an improving chisora should tell us something.
-
If you're talking about his mouth, he's #1. If you're talking about where he stands against other top heavyweights, he stands at five or six. One thing for sure, thanks to his mouth, I'll never pay to see him fight again.
-
Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
That is the problem with Haye and his manager. They think they are above all heavyweights and should not have to fight them because of what he achieved at Cruiserweight. They are so far up there own ass that they cannot see they look like a bunch of prats. There is no way Haye is the 3rd best heavyweight in the world based on his performances. The B level Americans like Arreleo and others would love to stomp on Haye. I also think Price and Fury would stand a chance against Haye.

Very few if anyone told me "Listen, Lyle....you were right man" even after Haye didn't do anything for 12 rounds with Wladimir, they just forgot all about it or became angry at Haye, I never got any credit. I was 100% correct.
And Steve Bunce is a fucking tool as well

Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
Haye is just a money machine, if he could fight the way he talks he would
give Ali a run for his money. But he cant he is shit.

Because most thought he'd either get KO'd or box the way he did against Valuev too?... Some gave him a puncher's chance.
Why should you get extra credit for being obsessive about it? ???

Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
I think he is the 3rd HW yes!
I guarantee he KO's Del Boy though and then people WILL draw comparisons with the Vitali fight against Chisora and then imaginations will start running again!
Vitali is aging fast too.

Two very different Klitchco brothers. Vladamir is faster and fitter than his brother. Vitali has the harder face but I dont know if he has the power edge any more.

I also think that haye could well be the third best HW in the world or even 2nd
I havent seen anything from any of the others to tell me he isnt and vital didnt exactly show he still has it in his last fight
to give an official ranking of third is unjust tho :)

WTF!!!
You were 100% WRONG and got exactly the amount of credit you deserved - NOTHING. Fact.
You spent months claiming Wlad was gonna look spectacular knocking Haye out. The only people that were MORE wrong than you were the ones that picked Haye to win (about 3 people in the entire universe).
Lets keep it real.

What!
Even Chagaev is level pegging for achievments at heavy:rolleyes:;D
Can everyone just stop and think, what are Hayes achievments at heavy?

Bonin, Barrett, Harrison, Valuev, Ruiz, & lost to Wladimir Klitschko....but he has to get credit for talking shit for his entire career. Not everyone is comfortable making an ass out of themselves on such a high level.

Re: ADAM BOOTH:Haye 3rd best HW in world! Where would you place Haye right now?
Those arent achievments...
In years to come, those feeble reasons wont be enough to see Haye get in the hall of fame:o
There is still time but Haye is now the wrong side of 30 to rely on his speed and power alone. He still gets hit and hes going to get hit alot by Chisora;)

This pretty much sums up what Haye's all about. I'm sure Haye's fans will have some sort of "counter-point", but nothing can change these facts.

did you just wink at me?
Its all about opinions matey
is david haye good enough to beat every other HW currently aside from the klits?
I think he is you obviously think he isnt
even if he KOs chisora in the first part of the fight a lot of people will still deny his credentials, people just cant seprate their feelings towards him as a man and as a fighter
