I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Hi guys,
I'm a new fan of Fury. I have warmed up to him over the last several months or so... I absolutely hated him and the way he fought. But, since the Chisora fight and the grit he puts to all of his other subsequent fights, he has gotten my respect.
But, let's be fair: Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder puts him to SLEEP!
Well, maybe not Jennings- he would just beat him up real bad over 12 rounds. But, the other two would totally dominate Fury- Arreola and his relentless pressure and size and boxing ability would manhandle Fury over about 5-7 rounds. Wilder would KO him in less than that!
If Fury got caught with a Cunningham hook and got floored AND wobbled on two other occasions from Cunningham, then you can expect for a HARD HITTING Wilder to sleep him AND a wear you down, hard hitter, like Arreola, to simply keep hitting him and hitting him and hitting him until he passes out.
What say you?

I have not seen wilder yet... but i heard he did well in sparring v wladimir and his record looks like he is very offensive minded and tall... could be big trouble for fury... I will have to see him fight some better fighters than he seems to have fought already before I can judge him... fury v wilder does look on paper to be have good potential though!..
I think fury is to fight the winner of arreola v sitverne so maybe we will see arreola fury pretty soon... although i have a feeling fury is going to be fighting cruiserweights and bad big guys for a while yet :S

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Fury beats them all including Haye. He is not ready for the brothers yet. ;)
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Why would arreola be such a favourite against Fury?
He lost to Adamek who Cunningham got robbed against...;)
There arent many heavyweights out there who can match Cunninghams speed or toughness, having never been stopped.
Some might say Haye has the speed but he's not as tough as Cunningham.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
theonly way to settle this is to obviously have a tournament to decide which fighter(cruiser or heavyweight) deserves a shot at fury :S... if cunningham can beat adamek(except on the judges score cards) then if someone can beat cunningham and adamek then surely they will deserve to fight fury... maybe have some form of mortal kombat tower ranking sysytem? infact why bother with world titles... let us make a new one just for fury right now !
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
One thing you can say about Fury you cannot say about Wilder...hes actually taken a punch and been 'tested'. Wilder has not faced a hint of adversity and for all we know the first time hes pressed...or punched in the mouth...he could fall over like a house of cards.
I think Jennings has the better chance actually. Arreola is stationary and round house while fast hands leave Fury blinking like a sleepy old uncle jarred awake in the middle of the night. If Cunningham badly hurts him twice, Jennings will no doubt.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Jennings is way overated- Fury Ko's him
Arreola is a 50/50 fight imo
Wilder is still very untested but from what i've seen , I think he Ko's Fury

Master, please tell me you are kidding. Haye would easily handle Fury and stop him. He hits about 100 times harder than Stevie Cunningham and is faster and more talented.

I have to agree... as much as i hate haye after watching this fight ....... fury is just so open to the right hand... haye is smart enough and fast enough on his feet to be able to dance around and land it enough times to finish him off.... pajkic and cunningham put fury down.. it looks to be a weakness of his... unfortunatley for fury... haye would slay him pretty easiliy

No I am serious, fury is just too big for these blown up cruiser weights. Cunningham was right about Fury, if he was 6ft 3, he would get beat but the size beat Steve and it would do the same to Hate.

You mean Haye? The guy that beat the 7 foot giant?

Not a chance. Haye would destroy Fury. If Cunningham can knock him down, then believe that Haye would put him in his grave. All Haye's chat has people overlooking just how skillful a fighter he is. Fury is not even close to that skill level.

All he has on Haye is size, you're out of it Master;D Haye easily puts Fury to sleep in the first 5 rounds, he couldn't miss and has genuine KO power at heavy.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Haye-Fury? That is a full bank job on Haye KO 1 (with a round 2 saver).
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Haye deffinitly has the power to hurt Fury but one thing that Cunningham has over ahaye is hes not scraed to get involved. Although hes been dropped he had never been stopped whereas Haye has been stopped by a cruiser, dropped by a supermiddle etc.
Haye wouldnt have gone in gung ho against Fury like Cunningham did and to be honest I believe Peter Firy that Tyson fought like a spanner because he wasnt there to reign him in.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Anyone who thinks Fury beats Haye has to be off of their rocker! Haye puts Fury to sleep within 5 rounds, as someone mentioned earlier.
This is why I say Arreola would maul Fury. All Arreola is is a slower Haye with non-stop action. If Haye had as half as much of the intensity and relentless pressure as Arreola had he would have won against Wlad.

Fury fought like a spanner because he is one , he beat a CW with 12 KO wins , who was 36 , big deal , he also got knocked down , read between the lines , Fury is a media product.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Haye didnt beat anyone as good as Cunningham or Adamek at cruiser and he certainly wouldnt have gone anywhere near them at heavy. Haye is more of a media product than Fury.
Hayes last win was over someone Fury beat, what 3 years ago? When he was undefeated.
Fury has got balls and is trying to get meaningfull fights. Like hesaid in the press conference to announce his fight with Cunningham, other fighters, including Arreola were offered the fight but didnt want to know. Cunningham said its because they are scared of his height.
He has vulnerabilities but those can be worked around. Even without his coach there and on one of his worst showings, he flattened a genuine world class heavy early. Adamek couldnt do that and he beat Arreola easy. Haye is more vulnerable than Fury, hes been dropped by a super middle weight and fought like it against Wladimir and made a fool of himself. Fury might lose against Wladimir but he would go out on his shield and give a good entertaining account of himself rather than crawling round on the floor looking for the ref to help him and then blame a little toe.
Fury is trying to make fights and work his way up the rankings honestly. Whats not to like? A heavyweight that wants to fight and face other fighters? Haye could learn from him.

Yes but tyson isn't a big puncher, I don't care what his record says.
He landed the 1, 2 flush on cunningham so many times.
The very same 1, 2 that puts Fury to sleep if Haye or Wlad hit him with it.

Haye couldnt land that simple 1,2 on the shorter chinny Wlad.
You dont have to care what his record says but the fact he has enough power to pull himself out the shit when hes getting outboxed and dropped is all he needs. Hes becoming a very seasoned pro. He has travelled to America without his coach to fight a top american who had never been stopped and flattened him.

He beat a 37 year old by leaning on him, the punch wasn't even needed stop Cunningham.
Vs Haye? Hayes too quick and younger than Cunningham, fury doesn't get to lean on him, and Haye is the same height as Cunningham, so I think he could land I fury quite easy.
Vs Wlad? Fury is flattened before he gets a chance to lean.
Imagine of David Tua landed that overhand right?
Fuck it I'll raise you, Chuck Liddells overhand? Imagine the convulsions.

Chuck Liddells over hand right would have started in Manchester, even Fury would have got out the way;D
Tua could do nothing with Lewis.
We are talking about a still relatively inexperienced fighter here. He has yet to fight for a title but for those of you who really have a dislike for him you will be eating crow in the not too distant future.;)

Lol @ Lindell's right hand
I don't really dislike him, I'm just a realist.
He's been dropped by 2 non-punchers who are both 6'3.
I mean Cunningham has what 16 kos?
Pajkic has only 5!
To be fair to him, he hasn't yet been bit and dropped by a puncher, maybe he'll just brush it off, maybe he's the kind that gets dropped but can easily get up from anything.
But those fighters are rare.
I guess we'll see.

Well Ali got dropped a couple of times before he fought for the title even had some gift decisions and now hes regarded as having a great chin.
Fury has the same self belief and will to win that a great needs. He may not turn out to be great but hes no way near as shit as some are making him out to be.

To even mention Fury in that way is an insult , you like fury which is your choice but he beat an old former CW who had lost his last few fights , a guy with not much power at CW , to compare fury to any alltime great is a joke , he isnt anywhere close to being as good as someone like Bruno.

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
I have to agree with that^^^^
Lets not get carried away.
Underrated? maybe. greatness? Hardly.
-
Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Fury is only 24, has plenty of time left. He hasn't fought for a title yet. Judge him once hes fought for a title.
If wed have judged Haye before he fought for a title, you wouldnt have bet on him doing it because of how bad his chin and stamina looked.
Fury is fighting those who are willing to fight him. Price says he was but was actually offered the fight and he turned it down.
I think some people are frustrated because Fury isnt what they want in a heavyweight champ. Ill tell you what, at least he comes in, n shape and can fight a good pace over 12 rounds. Hes proven that hes tough and can come back to not nly win but win by KO. Hes taken on unbeaten fighters, unknown imports, he fought for the british title after being a pro only 8 months. He has beliefe in himself and thats good and fun to watch.

"AT LEAST HE COMES IN SHAPE " ?
Fury looked like a human mudslide until his last few fights.

Price turned down fury?
Fury always in shape?
Tough? He's been down with 2 featherfists.
I'm done with this conversation. I don't feel you're even being serious now.

Fury does come n in shape, he wouldnt do 12 rounds otherwise. Yes Price was offered the fight and yes he is tough. He got dropped but got back up to win by KO both times.
Ali got dropped by Henry Cooper who was 185lbs! Imagine if Cunningham had caught him! They were both at the same stage in their careers.

Im sorry mate but ur a fucking idiot , u persist to talk about alltime greats as a comparison to Fury ?
you are a joke .

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
You are a thick cunt and an ugly sulky one to boot. Just fuck off.
Fury got dropepd by a 110lb world class fighter. Ali got dropped by a 185lb british champ. Which is worse?

Ok yes that would be worse;D
Fact of the matter is Henry Cooper who was never world class nearly Put Alis lights out, he was gone! He had to have the interval lengthened to recuperate against a 185lb british level fighter.
Fury got dropped by a 210lb fighter who is world class and was world champ and got up and continued to fight through the same round. If the round hadnt ebded when it did for Ali, he would have had a loss.

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Just to further piss on stupid theory ,
Clay was 22lbs heavier than Cooper , Fury was 44lbs heavier than Cunningham.
Clay was 6'3 Cooper was 6'1
Fury is 6'9 Cunningham was 6'2
which is the bigger advantage ?

Cooper was never world class.
Fury cant help the size he is, he can only fight other heavies that are willing to fight him.

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Fury is now primed for a loss. I think it would be very interesting if he fought Stiverne who can bang with the best of them.

Re: I LIKE Tyson Fury- but Arreola, Jennings and/or Wilder STARCHES HIM!
Cunningham landed cleanly and if he had ANY power Fury never would have gotten back up

That was probably as hard as Cunningham could punch and just about as clean as he could land. If that's Price, Arreola, Stiverne, Povetkin (maybe), Haye, Wilder, Jennings, Pulev, Helenius, even Seth Mitchell, or any other true heavyweight with any bit of power, then Tyson Fury gets a 1 in the Loss column.
Tyson Fury is a fighter, he's gutsy, but he's not smart and that will catch up to him quickly
