Danny Garcia is the next big thing... he is going to go on a VERY long undefeated streak.
I said before the Khan fight that he was "real money", and he is... I don't want us to stay on Floyd and the Klits and have us forget a mega-star in the making with Garcia.
He is going to be an all-time great. He's that good.

How good is Garcia? I dont know, probably not that good though. He is way overrated from one good victory against another hugely overrated fighter.
I would like to see Khan vs Garcia 2. Khan looked n awesome in the first couple of rounds until he got tagged.
Nobody had Knocked Peterson out before. Prescott had already knocked out Khan. So yeah Matthysse is way more impressive. 32 KO's to Garcias 16. Garcia has some pop, Mattysse has dynamite. Power isn't everything but for these two fighters it's the first quality that jumps out, and Garcia has had his breaks. Lets see if he jumps in with Matthysse or avoids him like the plague.Quote:

I would say if Garcia is avoiding fights, Khan is who he will avoid. I don't want to say the hook that changed the Khan fight was luck but considering Garcia closed his eyes and turned his head totally around when he threw it was definately a desperate punch.
A lot of people say Im harsh on Garcia, which I may be, but I actually like him. I just dont think he is as good as people are hyping him to be and the fact is he hasnt really fought anyone that good. Judah was well past it, Morales was well past it and Khan is Khan. When I look for credible guys for him to fight I dont see him beating them. At Light welter you have Matthysse, Alvarado and Khan and I think Khan is best for him there and at Welter you have Floyd, Marquez, Bradley, Alexander and I dont see him beating any of them.Quote:

Garcia is a smart fighter and timed a beautiful left hook. Khans right hand was low and he threw several combos in a row leaving his right hand low and his head right in the middle. Khan got to comfortable and obviously Garcia will make anyone pay who makes mistakes.

I actually have to agree with you and re-reading what I wrote I worded that totally wrong.
I think one can make a better argument that Garcia is a better boxer then Khan rather than saying Garcia is a better fighter.
Not that I think Garcia is a better boxer, but hes defianately not a better fighter.
And the only reason I think one could put up a better argument that he is a better overall boxer is because he stays sharp, technical, doesn't get sloppy and hes smart.
I agree with you that Khan is the better boxer tho because he is more technical and sharp.
Its obvious to everyone that khan is a better boxer than his opposition but styles makes fights and after khans last performance i dont think virgil would be comfortable in putting him in with garcia.
Why not move up to welter and get as close to you can the biggest payday in his career as its obvious he is not the best at 140 and never will be.

I think I enjoy Khan's fights more since his loss to Peterson. I can root for him, he makes exciting fights.
