I like Cleverly, but he's outgunned against KOvalev.
He should go for the WBA title, Shumenov is very beatable.
Dawson or Cloud would make for interesting matchups.
Nathan does not want to do what Price did and get stopped again. Cleverly was outclassed from the first bell. He needs to take a rest and comeback slowly.

I found it an odd fight. Cleverly never had to take it but had the cajones to do so yet it almost looked like he accepted the outcome the first time he ate a good shot. Maybe he got into boxing for the wrong reasons to begin with. Perhaps Joe Cal was his boyhood hero and he really never wanted to box. Early successes made him carry on and maybe the cash but deep down inside he'd rather be doing something else.Quote:

Again one loss and your on the scrap hep, many fighters lose and come back boxing fans are
a funny lot, many great fighters have been beaten.
Have a look at many Champions that have been beaten, they regroup and come back remember
one loss does not mean the end of a career.!!!!;)

My theory on Cleverly is this , as a young chap he was a smooth boxer with not much power , then because he has a strong chin , he started to mix it up more and get hit lots.
Because he was WBO joke champ he fought guys who he could fight that way , however he then fought a real hitter and had no answer.
Cleverly had had his day in the sun , he is finished at top level.

He doesn't really want a rematch at all. He was talking about moving up to cruiserweight when punditing on the Stevenson fight last weekend. Enzo Mac definitely looms large in his future. Frank'll put them both on versus two punchbags on the same card and then put them in together for the prestigious WBO Intercontinental title.
Cleverly does want his head examined if he wants a rematch and was he really at top level?
