Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
As it should.. I mean cmon boxing fans are not dumb and they know better..
Maidana is horrible as an opponent for floyd. He dont even qualify to be a waterboy in the money team.
Khan is tolerable..

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather

Hey that's perfect and I think it's a possibility... floyd wanted broner to fight on his card anyways and with everybody under the same banner, it makes all the sense..
But didnt maidana say that his wife is having a baby and cant fight till summer?
So he can be ready for floyd in may but cant fight broner?

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
Good, I am not excited about either one fighting Floyd but Khan might at least make it interesting, probably not but he might.

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
Khan and Maidana should fight again to see who gets closer to a Floyd fight :D Mayweather should fight Lara or Quillen in May :o

Lara is a tough outing but I see Quillin as an easy fight for Floyd :D it also gets him a belt at 160 and could set up a fight with the winner of Martinez-Cotto

Quillin is an easy fight?! Bruh, I dont know what kind of strong shit you are smoking but pass it over here lol..
Imo, I think it should be the other way around.. if floyd wanna chase the MW division, he should face the winner of Martinez-Cotto first.... then the big guns like quillin should come later after he fills out at the weight..
Guys like martinez and cotto are undersized, shopworn, and floyd could beat these guys.. but Quillin and ggg are legitimate MW and they are on a different level...

That would be pretty cool, Floyd often puts potential opponents on his undercard to get them exposure. I think Broner would fit into Floyds 'Low risk, high reward' planning for opponents though. A fight with Broner would be easy for Floyd but he comes in with a high profile and would boost PPV sales. If they had a Broner - Maidana rematch on Floyds next fight card, no matter the out come it could boost both fighters profile and ultimately earn Floyd a fuck load of money in the long run..

Lara vs. Floyd sounds like a good match , but I think it would be boring as hell.
Lara is a sharpshooter, he is one of the most patient fighters I have seen. He moves in and out with an awkward cadence, is very fast and will not commit until he is sure he will connect. He waits until the other fighter becomes impatient and makes a mistake.
Can you see pick 'em apart Floyd and this guy putting on an exciting fight?

Won't be exciting but its more competitive than Khan or Maidana :-\ Quillin is my pick. Grab a middleweight belt looks good for the legacy, chills out the haters cause he is fighting at 160, against an undefeated titleholder, although maybe not as big a risk as it seems ;)

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
They are high fiving each other in the backroom as this is a sure thing to come off. But truth be told..Khan is going to get his fookin ass kicked. After that in the jr middle arena I'd love to see him go with Lara. Lara is a risk he has not faced in his own spoiler, boil down the pace and fast accurate punching kind of way. Or I'd pay him $50 bucks and wash his fleet of cars for a month just to publically toddler shake the shit out of a shocked Broner and demand his T shirt back ;D

Everybody has bad nights bruh u know that and rosado was a young hungry opponent.
What about ggg who badly struggled against a shot to pieces Ouma. What happened there?

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
It should be pretty clear that Floyd is staying at 147 with or without a trinket for the time being. I'm glad Khan is ahead. Regardless of how good Maidana looked and how bad Broner did, I have no desire or interest in seeing Floyd fight another plodder.
No way does Showtime even consider bankrolling Lara/Floyd unless they want to become a competitor for Nytol. Did anyone like the Lara/Trout fight? It may have went the distance but that was no boxing match. It was a pose off. I'm glad that Locche and Pep fought in two different eras and weight classes and never met in the ring.
I dont think Floyd will venture to 160 until after he retires and will probably set up a 160 fight for his return much the same way that Leonard did for Hagler at his exit party. 160 presently has enough unfinished business. All of these "world" champions need to fight the rest of the world.

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
Floyd is a slippery funker. Read this about the vote ;D
Before a voter submits a pick on Mayweather’s website they must sign into their Facebook or Twitter account and authorize Lockerdome.com to update their personal profile, post tweets, and see who they follow and who follows them. Mayweather and Lockerdome.com will have access to every users' likes and dislikes. Facebook does the same thing. When you “Like” something on Facebook they know to target you. If you are a football fan and have liked your favorite team's fan page don’t be surprised to see ads that target your interests.
This is the future of marketing. By doing this future opponent poll, Floyd is building a database of super fans. Now he can create content and merchandising for engaged followers because he knows their interests and curiosities. It’s genius. It’s smart business.
Here's My Position On The Mayweather Poll - TheSweetScience.com
-
Slippery or a very clever business brain? ;)
I really hope this is a one off and we dont see any other fighters doing this in the future.
-
So anyone know the stop day for this vote?
-
Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
Do you seriously think Floyd will base who he fights on a tiny poll? He can easily make whoever he wants to win in five minutes.
The cunt knows who he's fighting. The one that earns him the most dough. :)

Which is why boxing sucks at times when the best fighters in the same weight divisions do not fight because of promoters and their personal vendettas.

Re: Khan now ahead in the voting to face Mayweather
It's a shame these are the only two options.
Maidana has the momentum, but he doesn't have an interesting style to make the fight compelling because we've seen Floyd trump this style many times.
Khan is the exact opposite, he has an interesting style but he doesn't have the momentum.

any chance to see Khan get ktfo and I'm all on that. :)

Khan is a jammy bar steward.

Khan is now way ahead :)
This is the outcome I wanted and by far the more exciting fight!!

Exactly. In a perfect world Floyd would fight somebody else, while Khan and Maidana rematched for the chance to fight him. That would be a hell of a lot more interesting than either fighting Floyd to me, and shit, beating Maidana is the last time Khan looked good in a fight!
I think Canelo was much more dangerous than either Khan or Maidana, for what that's worth. There is nobody below 154 pounds with much upside against Floyd, as if Khan or Maidana would be able to compete with anyone in that division. Hell James Kirkland would knock them both out most likely.

Years from now, when boxing fans are discussing the great Mayweather Jr, Khan will be the answer to the trivia question, "Who won the poll to fight Mayweather in Floyd's 46th fight?"
