Khan's backup plans are Broner, Porter or a rematch with Peterson

Amir Khan's Plan B - Broner, Porter or Peterson Rematch - Boxing News

Khan says he's spoke to Golden Boy about potential fights with Adrien Broner, Shawn Porter or a rematch with Lamont Peterson. I personally would love either Porter or the Peterson rematch. Porter would mean a likely fight with mandatory Kell Brook should he win, and Peterson would give both an opportunity to move forward after the controversy of the last fight. In fact, I think the Peterson rematch is the best option.

I've said before Khan vs Broner is ideal. "Battle of the Myths!" This way one overrated ego is finished forever!!!

I have to agree with Primo, a Khan v Broner fight is perfect.

Thurman should get Porter since he's not getting the Maidana fight he's mandatory for.

I like Khan vs Broner the best out of all those as well, that's an exciting fight. It makes perfect sense to share the bill if Mayweather does fight Maidana.

Khan against Broner is a tantalising matchup. If Khan wants Mayweather, then I think Broner is a) an excellent stylistic warm up and b) a chance to fight Mayweather based on a little form.

Khan is currently inactive and has been very inconsistent.

Would love to see Khan take on Kell Brook but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Khan has plenty of choices whilst Brook has his sights set on Porter

Khan vs. Broner is a very appealing fight.

I would like Khan to avenge his defeat so Peterson would make sense. Fighting Porter would be good to get a title but I have the feeling he wants to avoid Brooks. Broner is not a top welterweight so would be a good benchmark to see where Khan is at the weight.

Khan should go back down to light welter and fight Garcia.

Mayweather has acted like a proper wanker in the last few weeks, the way he's treated Khan is out of order.

He should have announced the Khan fight the minute the "official" voting had stopped and stuck to his word that he would let the fans vote.

Still no official word and it still could be Amir but Floyds taking the piss here big time.

Is he swerving Amir because he knows full well he's in a fight thats gonna be at a seriously fast pace and he's gonna be out speeded and have to work hard in each round ?

Who honestly wants to see him in Another boring fight against a slow sitting duck ?

I heard James Degales next fight is possibly gonna be on the undercard too?

On sky news Khan has said the fight with Floyd will not happen and they have shown no respect to him. This is all true so Khan needs to move on and plan his next fight and earn the right.

If Floyd said tommorrow that its Khan he (Amir) would say yes absolutely no doubt about it.

Khan was too mouthy and couldnt stay quiet.
No one asked him to not fight alexander as if he did he would have got the fight!

Floyd can do what he wants like oscar used to and its either put or shut up.

The opponent gets the biggest payday of his career and if khan doesnt get the fight that is his fault as he cant keep his mouth shut!

He won the official vote set by Floyd and still Mayweather wont name him.

In no way is that Khans Fault ;)

Brook on the other hand remains mandatory to Shawn Porters IBF belt but is taking a tune up fight while Porter decides what he's doing next (voluntary defense or Alexander rematch) ;)

Again not Brooks fault, he's fought his way to mandatory challenger and that is set in stone.

Mayweather v Maidana will be painful to watch - and painful for Maidana. Khan could actually make it interesting and maybe build an early lead on the scorecards and put Mayweather in unfamiliar territory.


Then if Khan wins he could rematch Maidana and probably get blown away inside two rounds.

I think Khan got the run around a bit but it was a lottery to begin with. I certainly dont think Floyd chose Maidana because he was easier. If Khan had a speed advantage which I'm not sure he does, Floyd would not fear it. Floyds inhuman timing and short accurate counter punching would neutralize it.

Floyd was faced with the fact that outside of his facebook poll the rest of the planet on an open poll gave it to Maidana by a runaway.

Seems like Amir has given up on waiting for Mayweather according to he's twitter.
