Hope Ricky wins this, he probably is the under dog.
If this was in America I'd favour Crawford to win comfortably but in Scotland Crawford may need a ko to win and he isn't a puncher from what I've seen.
Ricky's form has dipped recently although if he can turn back the clock to his katsidis/ Mitchell days he will be a real handful based on tenacity alone. I'm leaning towards Crawford probably by SD? Hope I'm wrong. c'mon Ricky!
Does anybody give Burns a chance after his last fight? Ive heard Crawford should beat him easily, but ive never seen him fight so I cant pass comment.
I figured I'd stick this up top as a chat thread for tonight's fights, I'm hopeful that Ricky Burns will offer a vast improvement on his last fight, and I'm not convinced that Crawford has the skills to come into his back yard and do the business.
Murray v Simpson could be interesting as a support, and I'm sure Olympians Joshua and Ogogo will do the business as they progress towards bigger and better things.
A few times this week I went to back Burns (around 9/4) but in the end didn't. Burns has never been an "elite" champion and must have used up all his get out of jail free cards by now.
Is Crawford the real deal what I've seen of him he looks useful,! Ricky is tough you have to
be to go 10 rounds with a broken jaw.
I hope Ricky wins there again he's been a underdog in a lot of his fights, and he may not be
the best light weight out there, but he's far from the worst.:)
Goooo ricky;d
Ricky always over achieves when the cards are stacked against him and then under performs when it should be a cake walk.
Burns ud (no controversy)
Just starting on Sky now, this undercard looks like it might be padded with plenty of chat.
O'Neil is keeping Agogo honest.
Aww crap. No air in the States ???
Agogo is brilliant with the media, says all the right things. If his boxing matches his personality he'll be a massive star.
Appleby use to be a good fighter.
Simpson is not long for this fight unless he can step up his game.
That was always a mismatch on paper due to size.
Simpson use to be a good fighter.
Can one of you friendly posters, message me a link to a stream for the Burns fight? Guru is spotty for me now.
What time is the burns fight starting at ?
Found it. Thanks.
well, with the poor undercard im going to be flicking ro channel 5 to see those other guys. and james degale has torn his groin.
Not sold on this Roberts. He is doing as bad as anyone can do, dominating his opponent...
Glenn to Johnny - "your wife used to break your eggs for breakfast"
Joshua has done all he could to make a good impression in Glasgow. He does need some rounds though, I hope he is getting some quality sparring.
Any1 got a link for this ?
Joshua is gonna be a star
Yea, apparently that guy went 9 rounds with Chisora a while back... I'm just wondering how that happened lol. Joshua does have really good form though, he knows how to punch and if he can take a punch and pace himself he could be a future champ for sure.
He is very light on his feet and for a guy that came to the game late he has a lot if innate ability. His form is great, bags of potential. Even now he would muller the Furys.
Everybody knew Joshua would blast that guy out in a few rounds but the fact he went nine with Chisora must say something?
It's all well and good, for his critics, to say Joshua isn't learning anything but how the funk are you meant to match a prospect with his power/ability? Tough one.
