I dunno. Hes got off to a shaky start for a career in boxing to a veteran opponent. Theres pleanty of room for improvement. I guess only time will tell.
As of right now you can't really say he is, but I don't rule him out because he's huge and has a good right hand. He's not as skilled as his pedigree might suggest imo, and he's not all that young on the flipside, he needs to impress in fights like this.
I dont think he can be.. Dude has been cracked and those two losses by an old man will haunt him forever imo..
Physcologically, the damage has been done..
I think he can be a contender but not a champion. Far too fragile.
Perhaps a different trainer will help..
Is it just a case of fighting tony thompson was just too soon?
This road he is on now might lead to better things..
I like Pricey big boy, bangs world class but as soon as he is clumped goes into meltdown mode if he can sort his head out when under the cosh he could beat any one, I would love it if he got it on with Pikey Fury you could imagine the Pikey on his back like a upside down beetle trying to get up. Yer he is a contender but probably will be forever.
POssibly, but when one is considered as the next big thing, they are supposed to beat old guys like Thompson..
Pulev isn't all that special but even he beat Thompson without much problems..
Price can hang in there as a fringe contender but I dont think he'll surpass that level..
If he starts fighting regularly. Even his comeback with Saunderland promotions has suffered hitches so far with him lossing Adam Booth as a trainer before they even had a fight together and he hasn't been out nearly as much as I'd of expected him to be. His fight against Pala I doubt will even go 3 rounds in all honesty. But back to the question, he can easily become a contender again but I'd be hugely suprised if he ever gets a belt.
I think that Lennox Lewis could have made himself something of a super coach if he'd wanted. Unfortunately he wasted his time and energy on Price.
Price does not have what it takes clearly.
LOL I dunno about that!
He would have to smash that gigantic body pretty hard and long because he would not even be able to reach his head.
Honestly, as lemonish as Price is, if there was a TAB I would not be able to throw my old mate Frazier a bone here even unfortunately, based purely on the range, weight and power and relative sharpness of the straight shots of Price, I reckon it's just insurmountable for old Joe.
Tyson however, would waste Price early, that'd be a laugh!
Price is still more than capable of obliterating Fury. Truth is Tyson ran and continues to run the guy has no bottle and little to no ability. I don't like to call any professional a bum but the big soft Lancashire twat is a crack away from being one.
Fury is a much better boxer than Price for gods sake! He has real skills and puts together decent combinations.
Fury has defeated better opponents too and not lost to ones he should have beaten either.
About the only thing Price has on Fury is a more powerful punch but as we have seen it is next to useless for him when he fights someone who actually can box!
On chin, Fury might go too if he cops a big shot from a big hitter but I bet the farm he is a lot more durable than fucking Price!
Price is the weakest of the supertall boxers imo.
Tyson fury reckons he's a big stiff tin man idiot.
I think Price has world class power , he could well KO anybody he hits , as we have seen his own whiskers are fragile , but for me that makes him exciting.
Many boxers have world class power. Not many of them ever make world class boxers!
Khan at least has a heart.
Tam said Fury called Price the "Tin Man" and he's right!
Price doesn't have a heart. He can have all the power in the world but with out the fortitude for battle its pointless. Like a battle ship with a gaping hole in the hull.
It wasn't his shitty chin that let him down in the Thompson rematch it was his stomach for a fight. He's another Audley Harrison. Put him in Prize fighter in the 3 round format and he will probably be fine. Put him in with anyone good over 10 rounds and he will shit himself at the thought of having to fight through pain.
He never was a contender... probably never will be a real contender.
Eager to see how he looks in Denmark against Pala and Lee also against Horta. Not sure why they are 8 rounders but whatever. Undercards are on now.
He could be a contender if matched carefully , but he is a rock em sock em , KO or be KOED type which is exciting.
Dropped in the first but won in the third. That will do his confidence some good that he can come back from a knockdown.
Pala managed to drop Price in the first round. I haven't seen the video yet but if Price can be dropped by that level of opposition theres no way his defense will stand up to the higher reaches of the heavyweight division.

Kinda forearmed over, not really a punch. Sadly he got up like he'd been chinned and hurt when he should have got up laughing at being knocked over rather than knocked down if you get my meaning.
The demons still firmly there.
He needs to assert himself a little more. Use his height and weight to his advantage. He's trying to jump out of the way of of Pala's wild swinging about there. Looks very unprofessional. Set a distance with the jab, smother when opponents get close. I dunno but he looks like he fears for his chinny chin chin a liitle too much. :p
That video, man Price has nothing at all going for him. Just a punch and a long range. Skillwise he is about as fluid as a piece of construction equipment and timid as a fox.
Caught Price off balance.... if anything, it shouldn't even have been called a knock down. But since Pala hit him, a bit of a forearm, you have to call it a knockdown. It happens. Great come back ko from Price...
He got up and got on with the job. Good finish the guy is a wood chopper and Fury is still a bendy sapling.
Again, they already fought and Price couldnt hurt Fury back when he was a kid. He got dropped himself then stayed away.
Fury would maul him now.

Come on Fury is pretty good really, he'd kick the living shit out of that idiot and knock him out good!!
How the hell could you really back Price against any real opponent that isn't a couple stone smaller!
Fury is beyond terrible. He is a gormless mug with no power. The sum total of his prowess is a big mouth and the ability to make himself seem even more stupid than he actually is.
Probably not Cunningham is renowned as a true super heavyweight monster hitter. The guy has earth shattering power. It makes Furys win over him all the more impressive. I mean he is no Abel but the guy is a devastating puncher, if he had not smacked his own throat against Furys forearm and then pushed his own chin up and out for Tyson to punch he may have won. People like Chisora may have done 12 rounds with Vitali but it is embarrassing that such a seasoned and tried and tested fighter like Fury has to fight him. Look at Furys opponents, it's like a whose who of world class heavyweights. There may be no Aereola, Stiverne, Pulev, Helenius, Thompson, Price, Wilder, Adamek, etc but that is just because Tyson is just too good to lower himself to their level.
Because fury has been dropped by lighter hitters than Price in the pro ranks , and everybody knows Price didn't floor fury as an amateur , then maybe we can presume that fury has a weaker chin as a pro , than he did in the unpaid ranks.
Price hits harder than - Cunningham .
Cunningham floored fury - conclusion, fury has weak chin in the pro ranks , if you use logic.
Oh come on Dark Lord Al and Beanz..
I seen that decking from Cunningham, it was just a beautiful crisp shot and the only reason Fury got caught with it anyway was because the idiot was clowning around and ran full pelt at Cunningham with his hands waving like he was trying to scare him or something.
Dumb move from Fury but he was not really hurt from it all.
OF course Price is a hard puncher and of course Price hits harder than Cunningham and probably Fury as well! But Price is so fucking shit I can't see him getting the full leverage on a long armed shot against someone his own size like Fury.
As for Fury's boxing, he's bloody heaps better than Price! Fury puts together combinations and fights rough. He still has decent power because of his weight, he just concentrates more on the volume than on loading up on single shots.
As if that clunking, pawing, scared shitless idiot PRice would cut the mustard here.
What about vs Thompson? Thompson is not really a hard hitting HW either and he KO'd Price!
When I saw Price before the Thompson fights, I thought he could definitely win a version of the title.. the question marks for me were what's between his ears?, his chin and his stamina. He's a contender but I don't think he has the mentality to be a champion. He's a worrier. He does however, punch like a mule.
is this a Price v fury thread?
IMO price is a much better boxer than fury and every way
i dont know if i would bet on price in a price v fury fight tho , fury seems to be in a much better place mentally
