Povetkin within the distance. Charr is garbage in my opinion.
Povetkin has had questionable stamina in the past, mainly the huck fight but he is very good in my opinion so if he takes it seriously he should win well, don't think he will ko charr though, charr is a big fellow who is usually in pretty good condition and povetkin is not a big puncher..
good comeback fight for povetkin and good fight for charr to see if he has anything on the bigger stage
Povetkin, probably by KO.
Povetkin beats the eurobum easily... shit fight
I dont know, this one looks like it could be fun, charr tries to win, he isnt great and is pretty hefty and not so mobile but he isnt total crap, he did just beat kevin johnson... which isnt a huge achievment(better than leapai did though :S) Povetkin just looks like he has come from working on a russian farm and has drunk half a bottle of vodka but he's fairly skilled and forgets to move his head so if he is snoozing a bit (maybe from the vodka) then charr can make it a fight.. I still think povetkin wins tohugh...
povetkin v huck wasnt a classic fight skill wise but I thought it was great to watch, this one could be fun too.
dont think povetkin has enough power to do a lot of damage to charr either, povetkin isnt feather fisted at all but he is not a big puncher, he puts them together well though but charr usally weighs in at just over 240 pounds, cant see him stopping him untill the last 3 rounds of the figh if at all
this is for one of the wbc minor belts too... maybe the winner of this will find themselves in the mix for a elimination fight for the real belt next year
Yeah you might be right, Povetkin does have enough power to eventually stop him but I agree it would not be until the end. Could go UD too though.
It will probably be a rough fight.
Povetkin should win by KO...probably in the mid to late rounds.
Does anybody know who's training Povetkin these days? Switching trainers for every fight has really done him a disservice. Especially hooking up with the always toxic Teddy Atlas. Worst move they could've made IMO.
Anyone but Atlas! LOL
It's a very good era.
Some people are bitter because the heavyweight champion isn't from their country or has a lighter complexion than the boxers they like. When Wlad retires and if Wilder or Jennings become champion, the same people who say this era is bad will be gushing about how great the heavyweight division is. :)
I've disproved your theory about people not liking the Klits because they're foreign and white countless times.
Provodnikov, Golovkin, and Kovalev are all foreign and white, and people love them. They love them because they're exciting. The Klits aren't exciting, and they fight in a weak division.
Some people like the Klitschko's some don't....to each their own. I'm a fan they win by KO all the time, they are great ambassadors of the sport...so some people disapprove of their styles, big whoopty fuck they pack stadiums and make bank each fight regardless of your opinions on them.
And you've been shown countless times in response that those boxers aren't quite so hated because they didn't steal and lock down the HW titles on the other side of the world and render your country irrelevant for so long in the top division. What was once the greatest prize for you in sports was snatched from under your nose.
Povetkin vs Charr will probably be a rough smash up fight. What is the difference between them and 2 of your piss weak little non-championship fighters from yesteryear trying to bludgon each other up?
The only difference to me is that there is a CHANCE that the harder hitting Pov and Charr could knock the other out! LOL
Spoiler Alert
Povetkin stopped a very game Manuel Charr in 7. He finished things with a beautiful combination. If I find a gif of the stoppage...I'll post it.
Here it is

Now that was a good, entertaining heavyweight fight. :)
Heavyweight contenders should fight other HW contenders more often.
Impressive, I didn't think Povetkin would have it in him to stop Charr, I hoped he would turn it on and give a good performance maybe with some knockdowns but good on Povetkin for closing the deal. He's probably thinking to himself "Shit, I should have fought like that before".
Charr may have been a bit over weight, not too much but a touch. He's still a decent(ish) fighter and will have more chances to earn a shot in the future.
What is next for Povetkin? Stiverne, Wilder, Arreola???
Vitali's resume looks even worse now. Charr got knocked out by Povetkin.
How is Vitali's resume affected by this? Vitali cut the shit out of Charr which stopped the fight in the 4th round....it's not like Vitali was in any danger.
Thanks Tigerfan, I had no interest in this fight, but that video made it look like a good one.
Charr "Hulking up" was pretty entertaining.
That technique rarely seems to work unless Hulk Hogan is doing it.
Povetkin has done pretty good in the past, he beat byrd when he was still allright and gave eddie chambers his first defeat before povetkin had 15 fights.. I think they moved him into the number 1 spot too soon and made him look stupid by dodging the wladimir fight for so long but povetkin has had some good wins and performances over his career, his fight v huck was probably his worst though when he looked exhausted halfway through the fight, not sure what was going on there(I had him winning that by 1 round).. He does seem to be pretty easy to hit with the jab though, I was surprised wladimir didnt pick him off more than he did..
I dont know why most fans dont rate povetkin highly he has a good career and a very good amateur career, It could be argued that he is wlads best victory
I didnt think he'd have the power to ko charr but just shows what I know.. good comeback victory, charr had loads of weird wbc belts so now povetkin should be in their top ten and on his way to an eliminator fight... I think it will be v haye, there was talk of haye v povetkin for the wba crap belt a couple of years ago so that could be rekindled..
