Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
"Going to the body is like putting money in the bank. It will pay dividends later."
No shit Teddy. Just stick to the fight and save the intelligence-insulting crap for the fan boys.

Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
Teddy Atlas is like a racecar....he can get to the point fast at times and other times he hits the wall. The key to a good Atlas metaphor is everything always comes back to cars, if it's something different hit might hit that wall and crash. ;D

I've always liked Teddy and have learned a thing or two listening to him over the years.
He can be a pain in the ass and I have wanted to strangle him a time or two over the years but I hope he's on FNFs for years to come.

I've noticed that you are bitter and jealous "journalist" who recently started hating on other bigger and more respected boxing journalists/commentators. You've already done Kellerman, Rafael and now Atlas... who's next? Burt Sugar? Your unnecessary use of bold only serves to highlight your fear that your words and ideas go unnoticed. Don't stress about it. Your posts get read.

Atlas and Kellerman are not journalists numbnuts! They are talking heads.
Burt Sugar is absolutely one of the very worse so-called historian/writers out there. Not a bad guy one on one though one of the worse dressers in history and very unkempt.
As for you Rocco, what have you written recently?

What have I written recently? I wrote the post you responded to but didn't bother to read properly. I said they were journalist/commentators. Learn to read you whiny, pathetic halfwit.
Also, I see what you did there "Not a bad guy..."(Burt Sugar) -- like you two were old friends and then you trash him. You know he's dead right? Hahaha...
Why not address the points I did make? Why are you bad mouthing everyone like a jealous little bitch? Why are you using bold all the time? Why are you so insecure?

Rocco, you rumpswab, I actually had a nice discussion with Bert (note proper spelling a-hole) at Canastota earlier this month. He didn't look very healthy but we hit it off.

Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
Teddy is the uncle who has one too many drinks at dinner. The only problem I have with his metaphors are when he runs on about "being in the kitchen". Its his default and repetitive but occasionally he hits one out of the park like his "its best to get in the kitchen and know what you want to eat, you know just fix a sandwich and do what you came to do rather than walking in there after midnight and just standing around wondering and grabbing at crackers"..something like that ;D
The 'Bugs on the windshield' one should be wiped away too. He throws that up all the time

Hey Spicoli, how about taking someone into deep water for the first time?

You're a petty, jealous journalist with a terrible sense of humour. Good day to you sir.

Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
Rocco, go back downstairs in your mum's house and choke your chicken to Justin Beiber videos. Adios mofo.
PS: Thanks for calling me "sir."

But seriously @holmcall... What's with the bold all the time?
-
Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
You don't like a fighter "setting the dinner table with his jab" ;D
I don't mind the metaphors...but he needs to either space them out or come up with some new ones. He says the same shit every week.

Kitchen....no no no Spicoli Teddy's metaphors are usually car related....someone is a sports car and someone is a Mack Truck

Teddy is a buffoon. I love it when they ask him a question, then he chews his imaginary food for a minute, then his eyes get big, then he screams out in a rage induced rant when it is totally unwarranted. He is good for a laugh now and then, and I will say he is smart when it comes to the sport, but he should not be a commentator. He is also a douche bag off the air. There is a video of him on YouTube in his vellore track suite calling out an old man at a restaurant in the middle of the day. Total imbecile. Joe is about as professional as they come and saves the day though. He makes the audio tolerable.

I totally agree.
I read and even reviewed his book. It was ok until I got to the part about Sammy the Bull Gravano whose scrotum Teddy apparently wants to swing from. Like a lot of short guys, Teddy wants to come of as a tough guy from a poor family, but the fact is, his father was a doctor so how poor could he have been? He is very snobby person off the air and has his own little clique of NYC guys. Never has any time for the fans who approach him. Thinks he is a f--king star. Also, everything he has touched seems to have gone sour except his gig on ESPN. Michael Moore, Donnie LaLonde, Povetkin, Muraqui, etc. etc He claims to have trained Tyson. Utter bullshit. Teddy is not a fan-friendly type and is just the opposite of Andre Ward or Paulie Malignaggi. That is all---for now.

I guess I just want @holmcall to admit he's a frustrated & jealous "journalist" who writes in bold to try to ensure people read his posts and take them seriously.
Admit it already!!!!!

Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
Because he is insane and is in and out of this thread like a short dick. Surprised Saddo puts up with stalkers who add no value to boxing discussions but simply troll for attention. Every site seems to have one. Saddo has this asshole. Pity.

Rocco is normally a good poster but he just seems to not get on well with you for some strange reason.
-
Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
His analogies remind me of Dr. Phil if he was a boxing fan.
-
Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
He always reminded me of the human version of Moe Szyslak.

Question: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
Answer: YES
-
Re: Are you sick of Teddy Atlas' metaphors yet?
I think Teddy is a very odd person. I can't find the right words to describ him, because I haven't put much thought into it. But he seems to be vindictive toward a fighter when he wrong in his analysis or predictions. Makes me think he is emotionally driven like most women rather than rational like most men when they are upset. He metaphors don't bother me all that much.

He's a troll. Just put him on "ignore" n get back to talking boxing with decent people. It's what I did.
