World title shot approaching for Browne. Who's going to win this one?

Yeh WBA , Browne posted this on his Facebook before I'll post the link when I see it.
The whole Oquendo thing was a mess. Chagaev's only loses are to two of best current heavyweights. I think Chagaev defeats Brown easy.

A mess how? I thought Chagaev looked bad and it was a crap fight that he just scraped out after Oquendo sort of stopped boxing.. He might be able to get into better form though, and I'd expect him to beat BRowne, who isn't very good.Quote:

All the delays to begin with, Oquendo's promoters trying to get the WBA not to sanction the fight as Oquendo had agreed without going through his promoters. It was a horrible fight, I had Chagaev ahead, only slightly. He should be able to deal with Brown though.
Wasn't sure if you knew all that went down, or were only talking about the actual fight, gotcha. Any idea if this fight would also be in Russia? Chagaev seems to have some nasty people around him. Browne is about the least formidable HW contender out there though imo, not surprised he is getting the shot.Quote:

Chagaev's a far better boxer. A few years ago, this would've been an easy fight for Ruslan...but today :dontknow:
Browne is going to take a beating.
WBA should be cast away with this ridiculous so called B grade world champion. Nothing more than a good matchup , it isn't for a world belt.
This isn't really the proper wba belt.. After the haye wladimir fight they renamed the belt haye had as the super champion and made this normal wba belt just for a bit of a laugh I guess.Quote:

Was following three or four guys on twitter to see the result...fair play to Browne he's well deserved the WBA 2nd Division World Heavyweight Title. Does this mean he gets promoted to eventually fight for the WBA Championship, and then if he wins that he goes for the WBA Premiership Heavyweight Title?

ive seen chag fight a few times before, skelton, valuev and a couple more and his punch output seems to have dropped a lot
I thought lukas was doing a bit better than the commentators were suggesting too
I don't think Haye-Browne would be that competitive. Browne is too slow, he'll think he's fighting Billy Whizz, and even though he's a tough bastard with a solid chin, it won't matter when he gets blasted by bombs he never saw coming.
it'd be a decent pay day for him though
