(Hypothetically) Will he go into exile or into some long depressing state, perhaps even abandoning his workout regimen and proceed to gain weight or even becoming more abusive?

I don't see Floyd disappearing for 15 years, throwing away everything he's worked for, becoming reclusive, turning to alcohol and drugs, or any other nonsense like that.
i think that he would be gracious after the fight but disappear for a while until he finally announced his retirement and put it all behind him.
If he gets knocked out, he'll get rich from the rematch and possibly the rubber.

Mayweather will be fine. He can afford the finest therapy with the amount he is making for this fight. Therapy all day long, monday to friday, for the rest of his life. And maybe go back to humping Ellerbe on the weekends. It's all good.

After many Pacquiao knocks out Floyd the gay pansy ballerina in May Floyd Mayweather will unravel mentally and emotionally. It's all a guess, we have no real way of knowing. But I'd think it all depends on what happens in the ring leading up to the KO. If something like what happened to Cotto or Hatton, then he'll probably go into some sort of depression, but knowing the Mayweather's reactions to everything, they see things a little different than the rest of the world so he may have some abstract way of absorbing the loss. If it's something like what happened to Pacquiao in the Marquez fight, e.g. just gets caught with one, then unless he turns completely mental, he should be able to bounce back.
I've been wondering with so many huge bets on Mayweather if they is any sort of watch on the judges to be selected from fixing the fight on the judges side. I also have to wonder if the Vegas insiders for the Bradley / Pacquiao fight knew something was up and why they gave peoples money back. One can easily see a couple of hundred thousand pooled moneys, to secure bets, could go to a judge's secret account. That kind of temptation would be hard for anyone to not score close rounds in a specific direction.

Jesus & a few others be with manny if Floyd comes in over 150lbs. I just can't see Marquez or Morales being a harder puncher at 147 than Floyd. And one fight that really stands out to me was when Manny fought Oscar Larios & it went the distance. Reason being is he had one of the longest reach against Pac @ 69 1/2 or 70.
PBF has a 72 inch reach- Add that on to a safety first style. The stars will have to align up for many to pull a win off IMO.
The thing is that Manny has never been a KO artist anyway. The Hatton one was a one off. At the lower weights he stopped people with an accumulation and at the higher weights doesn't really stop people. But how easy is it to win rounds against Manny? It is bloody hard. It doesn't matter if he stops Floyd or not, he will be more active, landing more, and Floyd has been losing quite a few rounds by being outworked in recent fights. I don't think Floyd has the legs to stay off the ropes against Manny for 12 rounds which means that Manny will be in close for some of those rounds and he is fast, unpredictable and hard hitting. Reach matters but only if you can keep it in the middle and that is easier said than done. Mosley tried to box, but you still get outworked every round and it ends up being survival. Same with Barrera. Same with everyone unless you choose to fight and then you get stopped or end up looking like a Chinese sailor. Even in that last Marquez fight, Marquez was starting to lose it and it looked like Marquez was the one that had been worked out.

You are correct, but I am hard pressed to use guys who have lost before as a measuring stick for a guy who hasnt lost in 18 years. A guy who is dogged if he moves (called a runner) is called shot if he stands and trade. Maidaina IMO landed because he kept aiming from for the side of PBF's skull. Man how many fighters train to land somewhere other than the face, forhead, nose, cheek, jaw? Hitting the ears, I can see. Only fighter Pac has fought that uses their legs well is JMM & Bradley. He has two fights left, if he loses or it's a close decision there will be a rematch before the end of the year. I doubt Floyd will do a Hagler and just retire if he loses, he will avenge and reclaim then retire. Mayweather would have to suffer a humiliating early round KO loss for him to just give it all away.
I would agree based on Mayweather's persona in the media, but has had someone behind him that has taken care in making sure he and his kids is set for his lifetime. If you take a look at county records his properties is are all owned under trust accounts. It basically means they are paid for and no one can touch them. If his properties are in a trust, most likely he has money set aside to make sure is living needs are too. So I doubt you will see any Tommy Hearn's like stories about Mayweather 20 or 30 years from now. Although he may end up in prison or the next OJ story.Quote:
