It's nearly a year since his last fight with Floyd, and no sign of him, not even rumours. The only thing I heard was that he was enjoying his money and getting fat!
Do we think he'll ever fight again?
With so many good (lucrative) fights out there , shouldn't he be in the mix? The next thing will be "he needs a warm up fight!" Well if he has put on as much weight as they say, he's not likely to be motivated by a journeyman.
Bit sad if he can't get motivated to fight.
I lamented for Matthysse/Maidana for quite some time. I still hold out some faint hope. Argentina could sell out a stadium and the world wide audience would be quite large. They should cash out on PPV before it goes the way of the dodo bird.
I've been wondering that myself. We've seen a few fighters take the post Floyd fight holidays but I really hope to see Maidana back at it soon. I hear Argentina is a nice country, even nicer if you are millionaire. I don't think Marcos will have an issue getting back into shape but after two Floyd fights he must be sitting pretty.
The last I heard he bought a new farm tractor, so I figure he's sitting on that tractor with a beer in his hand.
I have no idea if he's a serious farmer or not but either way he is probably having fun.
I don't know what it is about a tractor (probably any piece of equipment) but being able to operate one well can do wonders for a mans opinion of himself. Fact! As Fenster would say.

I doubt it Brock. His first fight with Floyd was an exciting one. Granted, the second not as much so. Remember he recently had a child. Probably just enjoying life for a while. I hope he actually manages to keep some of the dough. He signed a shedload of management contracts eaarly in his career. Eddie Hearn was negotiating with his people for a fight and said something like getting Maidana over means you have to pay half a dozen guys before you pay the fighter. Then he signed with Haymon. So fuck knows how much he has left after Haymon/management/trainers/taxes etc get paid. It wouldn't surprise me to hear he's in trouble with the tax authorities sometime in the next year.

I wonder if he'd be successful at 154 :confused: If he can still make welter there are some nice fights to make, Matthysse, Prodnikov, Rios, Khan 2, Porter, Bradley or even Broner 2 :D
