I hope he actually manages to keep some of the dough. He signed a shedload of management contracts eaarly in his career. Eddie Hearn was negotiating with his people for a fight and said something like getting Maidana over means you have to pay half a dozen guys before you pay the fighter. Then he signed with Haymon. So fuck knows how much he has left after Haymon/management/trainers/taxes etc get paid. It wouldn't surprise me to hear he's in trouble with the tax authorities sometime in the next year.

2 maulers going at it. That will be one big scrapfest. Maidana is more versatile though..

That means he will be back next year.

I remember Clottey doing the same after fighting/defending Manny Pac.

Would like to see this fight, no matter what you think of Porter, he comes to fight and win. He beat Broner, now he wants the other guy that beat Broner. My kind of fighter!

I am not too worried for him; he's young enough and his name drags enough attention to make a correct living even after all the "dough cutting". At least, if he can continue to win against prime names.

I wonder if he'd be successful at 154 If he can still make welter there are some nice fights to make, Matthysse, Prodnikov, Rios, Khan 2, Porter, Bradley or even Broner 2
