I'm not sure who wins this now after their last fights. Frampton looking underwhelming and Quigg chinning Martinez like that. Martinez did duck into it but still impressive. I was going to go for Frampton, not sure now.
The question of course is is the winner prepared to move on from domestic level and take on the champ?!
This has to happen!
I hate that it is on Sky ppv, it should be free on ITV prime time with 18 million people watching the fight.
Heart says Quigg, just. Head says Frampton, just. Mind you, all of that can change closer to the fight.Great fight, just pisses me off that it'll be PPV. It's not worth having a Sky subscription nowadays.:(
18 million viewers? You'll need a time machine for that.
Frampton's last two fights have been primetime on ITV, they haven't got more than 2 million viewers for either.

It's not because the fighters are less popular today it's because there are billions of TV channels, internet etc. So people like Master, who complain about not getting everything for free, are sitting in front of their computer watching porn even when the boxing is free.
Also (this isn't a pop directly at you, Master) why any fan gives a fuck about how many people are watching boxing is beyond me. Casual fans get on my nerves more than the divs on here. At least on here I know the majority love boxing.

Yep. When Benn and Eubank became massive names there were four TV channels. OK, Sky had started the year before their first fight but they only had a few subscribers. No internet, no mobile phones, no social media, four channels on the telly. And boxing had up to the seventies been one of two guaranteed ratings hits, more than football believe it or not. So lots of people in the eighties with a memory of watching big fights (when there were two and three channels).Quote:

Have always back Quigg in what should be a barnstormer. Still think he is too clever boxing wise to fall into Framptons traps. Scott will box to a plan and that will be the undoing of Frampton. Quigg by bodyshot KO, mid rounds.

Like I said I'm glad they got this done and if Rigo can get active then the drums will start beating for the winner to fight him.
Rigo needs to suck it up and take less money before its too late for his career. Take the fights prove your the best then you can demand shit. Fucking entitled generations.
Cracking fight and about time they got the deal made. Good long training camps mean they should both be right on it by February. Frampton for me, but an argument can be made for either fighter winning. Shame that it is likely to be a PPV. *booooo*

This was an excellent little doc from SKY. Quigg is not as divvy as he sounds, has a comeback for everything. As much as Frampton denies it he can't hide it when seething. I don't like Barry McGuigan much anymore, comes across as a right wanker to me.

I have to watch more of each of these guys. I thought Frampton had a fair point that Quigg looked shaky until he landed that big shot on Kiko, maybe hard to take much from that but I haven't seen either of his fights with the guy mind you. Also thought the guy who had Frampton in trouble last time out looked pretty good.
I wonder if there was any talk of putting Rigondeaux on the undercard of this? Seems weird that he's fighting a showcase type of fight in his first trip to the UK so soon after and on a smaller bill. THey could have paid him the same and just thrown it on this one I'm sure.
Rigo is fighting on a UK rival promoters card (Frank Warren), it's not really a showcase it's about who will have him. If Matchroom (the Quigg-Frampton promoter) wanted him they would/could easily.

I'm the same. As much as I love this fight I like/support both fighters.
I like Quigg more than Frampton, he gets unfair shit and comes across as a nice fella, but think Frampton will win. After rewatching several of their fights lately, I was contemplating backing Frampton by KO but felt a bit guilty :D (by fight night the sentiment will be sqaushed whoever I back)
