How do you Brits feel about his unfiltered tongue. He can't seem to realize he's being insensetive. Maybe he really doesn't care.
Tyson Fury gave some views on a few things, the PC brigade came out in force tut tutting if you ask
your opinion and you give a honest one, people don't like it simple don't ask the question if you don't
like the answer,! remember Fury is not a PC person most people are not PC,! every bloody FOOL is
offended why because he is HW Champion he may not be a role model, but there again not many are.
We reach a point were this PC bullshit is beyond a joke,! this road of stupidity people are so easily
offended, they really need to grow up what a bunch of idiots.
Tyson himself admitted that he was uneducated and a bit backward. He then went on to claim that he is still a great role model for kids.
The only offended ones seems to be Tyson and his gang who threatened to break people's jaws and stamp on their heads for not agreeing that gay people and pedos are the same, and those who get their knickers in a twist when people point out that Jess Ennis has achieved a bit more than looking good with some slap and a dress on.
The PC red herring is an invented excuse to get in a strop when someone points out that you may be an idiot and your views are stupid and ignorant.
Agree entirely with Beanz.
It's nothing to do with PC. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If that opinion is disgustingly ignorant then people have a right to say so. If that upsets you, then you should at least educate yourself about why people think you are ignorant.
Well, comparing homosexuality to pedophilia is wrong, obviously. He should have limited himself to saying he feels both those things are wrong without comparing them. Then it would've just been an unpopular opinion (for some), instead of an incorrect one.
I think as far as the comments go several things should happen.
Firstly, people should just accept he's an idiot. Every time he's in front of a microphone there's a fifty fity chance of him saying something silly.
Secondly, the Fury family need to sit down together and accept that while he's champion Tyson should be in sole possession of the Fury family brain cell. No more timesharing it. Tyson needs as much help as he can get when he's in front of the media.
They also need to have somebody deal with the media for them. If they can have some kind of filter between Tyson's mouth and the media then he stands a much better chance of not ending up being completely shunned by all but some boxing fans. I saw that bloke who is Khan's business manager in the ring after he won in Germany. They need to get that guy more involved. He'll cost money but pay for himself in the long run.
Lastly, the threats he made to a journalist
Tyson Fury is a bully and a bigot who even lacks the courage of his convictions...*there can be no excuses for his malicious views | Daily Mail Online
for reporting what he said are a step too far. The BBBOC need to come up with some serious kind of sanction for this. A gigantic fine to charities would be a good start and if he keeps acting like a tit he needs a serious ban.
I think youll find the media love him becuase naive people like yourself get over excited and need to be led.
Listen to him tie up the little twat who started the petition on BBC radio 2. http://youtu.be/B5ki73HtwBk
I'm not watching a video. If you can find a transcript I'll read the transcript.
I see. Here's audio and transcript of the comments that have got him in trouble. Straight from the horse's mouth.
Tyson Fury transcript: The controversial interview with Oliver Holt | Daily Mail Online
So he definitely said what the media said he said, his subsequent attempt to weasel out of it notwithstanding. So who is this person that he managed to outwit then? What did he actually say that makes you think he won an argument?
Fury is not a role model , and I really don't no what people were expecting, the guys a donut but he was asked his views and he gave them LOL, if you have ever been in a gang of gypsy's company, you would NO.
I speak with the voice of experience, what you would say was appalling , is normal to them .
He said what is quoted yes.
But here is where some sheepy little morons cant figure out. Having the words Homosexual and peadophilia in the same sentance is not saying one equals the other!!
If you read that transcript you will see that. No where does he compare the two:rolleyes:
Fury was on channel 5 boxing and was humble and respecting. He said he has many gay friends
Ha, @denilson200 telling people to stop generalising, what a frickin joke.
Agree with Ross - he didn't compare them from what I read.
Just stated his beliefs and what they were founded on.
I can see why some took offence but in this day and age everyone takes offence at something
I remember Glen Hoddle losing the England job on something ridiculous he said way back. I forget what it was exactly, something to do with the disabled - but taken totally out of context
I think Hoddle said that he believed in Karma, and that disabled people were paying the price for what they did in a previous life , or something like that . It was supposedly an "off the record" discussion with some prick of a reporter that overstepped the mark.
Hoddle may be a bit of a weirdo, but he shouldn't have lost his job over it, and England shouldn't have lost a potentially very good manager over it.
Typical English press, didn't give a shit about the sport, just about scandal. I think It's fair to say that the English national team has consistently gone backwards ever since.
So he did say it then, now you're arguing that he wasn't comparing homosexuality and paedophilia. He's just saying that legalising both of them will bring about the end of the world.
And then he threatened the journalist who reported what he said with violence. I'm guessing nobody is going to defend him for threatening to beat up a middle aged man half his size?
I thought we lived in places where we claim to have freedom of speech?
It doesn't matter to me what his personal beliefs are, but I respect his right to have them.
I love the lunatics, who yearn to be offended and outraged about things. These guilty, self-flagellating, psychopathically liberal beardy wierdies.
Hair trigger sensitive to anything that might be perceived to offend anybody (usually they like to be offended on behalf of others).
I don't approve of paedophiles, I have very mixed feelings about homosexuals, and I don't have any particular view of abortion. I'm sure my views are different to many people, but why should someone get howled down and attacked everywhere just because he does have a view. Especially by media cunts and urban hipsters.
Ask your nice Muslim neighbour what they think about those subjects. Nobody is vilifying them on the news for their beliefs?
Anyway, Tyson Fury was on Radio 2 yesterday and he was asked about his comments.
In relation to his belief that the world will end when homosexuality, paedophile a and abortion are legalised, thus bringing about 'The End of Days' he said;
"That ain't my opinion, I didn't say that, that's what the Bible tells me"
Well, Tyson, gypsies are tramps and thieves.
That's not 'my' opinion. 'I' didn't say that. That's what Cher tells me.
;D
Listening to that BBC interview he has clearly been educated since his comments. He admitted there's a difference between what consenting adults do and child abuse. Progress.
Islamic nutters slaughter, chop heads and hands off, stone women to death, throw gays off buildings and seek a worldwide caliphate. It says it in the quran/hadiths therefore it is justified.
@walrus
Everytime I log on - I always find mentions from you
Bitch - I'll hack your f*ckin head off !
That's because you are a racist ignorant prick @denilson200
Walrus, stop radicalising people!
Stop radicalising stop generalising, tell you what stop everything, don't say a word.
Let's all get on in peace and harmony, shit just seen a flying pig, going over the garden LOL.
Sorry, but I will always call out racist assholes, any other character defect I staunchly stand behind.
I don't think Denilson truly believes what he says about ALL white people.
I kind of expect most fighters would have a lot of beliefs, or an outward attitude towards things that many people would find stupid or backwards. I view all religion as complete nonsense, and homosexuality as totally benign and harmless, but I don't think any less of Fury for this stuff because I just don't expect anything from him. He's clearly a bit of a troll and not terribly bright, but I don't get the impression he's actually that insensitive, a bad guy or anything like that, I'll bet he would help a gay person or someone of a different faith if the situation presented itself, that kinda thing.
Most of the people give a opinion on people, that have NOT meet or had anything to do with them am I
CORRECT,! let me say I NO a fair few gypsies if you fight ONE you end up fighting all there bloody family,
they are a funny bunch, they are a pain in the ass.
Now the HW champion just happens to be one, they have a totally different outlook on life to the rest of society, you could say I am generalizing YEP I am because generally they are a bunch of twats.
A vote for Tyson in the SPOTY is a vote for freedom of speach and not to be pussy whipped in to having to be totally PC and not offend anyone.
Those who are opposing him will be happy Christmas is gone soon to not upset the other religions.
You celebrate a Christian holiday yet are upset Tyson has quoted from the bible?? Are you morons?;D
Its absolutely fucking insane how much hate is being directed to someone who has only repeated what is taught in the bible and what a whole religion believe.
If the SPOTY is genuinely decided by the public, this could blow up massively in all the detractors faces. As Tyson said, if you want to know more of my opinion ask the Pope of Rome as he shares the same opinion. You could have millions of christians phoning in for him;D
The police did their investigation and are dropping it because he hasnt said anything hatefull;D
Who the fuck is Kellie Maloney to be judging Tyson? When she was Frank, he missed out on signing Tyson and instead wasted money on that big scouse dud! There is alot of bitterness and jealousy in that person. Not least a ton of hypocrisy as he has actually said real homophobic things in the past and not just quoted the bible. She has a fucking short memory!! Read this if want to see real homophobia! BBC NEWS | Politics | UKIP candidate sparks gay anger
As you know I'm no fan of Fury , however even if he thinks its wrong to be gay because of how he interprets the bible , isn't that his opinion in which he is entitled to ?
For the police to interview him on " hate crimes " is ridiculous , as someone like Anjum Chaudry preaches hate everyday and I don't see him banged up.
SPOTY is a load of old crap anyway , so fury should stick to his guns whatever he believes , right or wrong he is entitled to his opinion.
Christmas has fuck all to do with the Bible. While of course Fury is entitled to his opinion, anyone should be free to disagree with him without being threatened by his gang. That is the crux of the problem. That and the insistence that he is both foolish and uneducated and yet still a great role model, according to the man himself. It's also that he spouts born again Christian rhetoric, mixed up with misogynistic bullshit and tries to sell it as good advice for everyone.
It's might make you feel all cosy to pretend that he is the one striking out for freedom of speech, but in reality he is just as stupid as those asking for him to be banned from SPOTY, in trying to insist that there are no consequences for saying dumb things.
Chag Sameach -Happy Hannukah :-)
Christmas is certainly about Christ. Perhaps manh don't celebrate it that way but a lot of us do. The Romans made the celebration in Dec as it was already a day of celebration in Roman times so it was thought it would be an easier way to bring the people together. The comercialization of Christmas was well done by the retail industry and economics but even gift giving has its roots in the celebration. Even if you don't celebrate it as such, Christmas is the celebration of Christ. Why do you think the atheist get so upset when they see a manager. The word Christ in Christmas is a hint to its origins. Celestial events reported at Christ's birth point to his actual birth being sometime in April but the date is not the important thing, the remembrance is. There are billions who don't celebrate or believe, but there are billions who do.
Walrus you a sentimental old fool. Happy Christmas and merry new year.
Fury may well be not the brightest bulb in the box,! but asked his opinion he gave it all the loveys on
the BBC were foaming at mouth, Frank or Kellie what ever it is had it's bobs worth, did he say normal
well what can you say,!!!!!!!!!!!:vd:
