Pac coming out of "retirement"
He is supposedly fighting in the fall. I'm wondering if he will fight a real challenge or take another gimme. He should fight Crawford if he beats Postol. That would make it worth it. If not, I'm probably not too interested in his next fight unless it's against a top welter.

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
There was talk that he and Broner were close to signing a while ago, don't know if that's still the case.

Arum said it definitely is not Broner or Floyd.

Master, we know it ain't Floyd because he is retired! isn't it about time you admit you lost the bet and change your name to I love Brock and put the IS Flag as your Profile Pic? ;D

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Arum said that Floyd will not fight this year. That means the bitch will fight next year to win his bull 50th fight.
You will salivate over whoever it is even if it is a poor opponent like Garcia, who has done nothing but wait like a lap dog.
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Why will I Salivate? I don't want the fucker to fight again. with the exception of a ridiculous GGG matchup, there ain't nobody out there that even gives him a fight. Same old story.

That is true but we know he will not take on GGG although Kell will be teaching him why that is the right decision.

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Apparently Broner priced himself out of consideration....who knows...
As limited and benighted as Broner is, it still would have been a heck of a sell.
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Andre Ward has longer stretches in between fights than those who retire. Retired, yeah OK.....
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
The way things are going now he'll be fighting James DeGale at a 158.1 catchweight ;D
Scarum Arum floated Manny v Crawford prior to 'retirement' and Postol being made. We'll wait and see result of Postol v Crawford of course, but I think Crawford would do bad things to Manny right now.
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
My first question is why? Has Bob Arum stole all him money? I don't want to see him fight anymore. That ship has sail.

What sort of bad things? ;D

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
I would like to see Manny fight Canelo, Garcia, Thurman, and/or Crawford. I think all of those fights are dangerous for him at this point of his career, but I think all are winnable and add to his legacy. I'm ok if he fights a tune up on free TV, as long as his next fight after is a tough one. I would've preferred Manny (and Floyd) stay retired, however, as they deserve to enjoy their lives/earning and allow the next great fighters to carry the sport to step up and take their places.

Arum must have a secret photo of Manny naked and in a compromising position.

I hope it is Garcia
I reckon it will be Vargas

Crawford? Also think Lara and Andrade would be poor matchups for him

What do you mean sailed? He beat Bradley easily last time out who is still one of the best welters in the world. He may not be as good as he was a few years ago but hes still a match for anyone in the division. Crawford is probably the only fighter at 140 or 147 that hed be an underdog to.

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Is anyone really surprised by this potential comeback  I'm more surprised that Floyd comeback talks aren't so far advanced yet :p I'd be leaning towards Vargas, then possibly the Crawford-Postol winner ;)
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Isn't it great to be Garcia? He got some good wins, but he he his beatable enough to get big named fights.
-
Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
What's the better fight for Garcia? Thurman or Pac? He makes more vs Pac but imo it's a guaranteed loss ;) I'm not sure if he beats Thurman either :-\ does Al cash him out vs Pac and hope for the best or keep it in house for now building a potential star?

Cash in v Pac. Hes getting beat by Thurman and Pac but makes more v Pac. Id say there is about 10 fighters at 147 that beat him. Only top guys he beats is Vargas and Peterson. Maybe Khan in a rematch although Id have Khan as fav.

Garcia has really stagnated since the Matthysse fight. It could be argued that he lost to Herrera, Peterson and Guerrero.

Herrera yes, Peterson maybe, but he in no way lost to Guerrero

I did say argued :p I'm sure Robert & his dad would be on that side of the argument ;D I remember many scoring it a draw or close win for Garcia. I think I scored it 115-114 Garcia if I remember correctly ;)

That is absolute madness. Khan has horrendous defensive instincts. He tries to hide it behind his speed but Garcia knows that you beat speed by punching with a speedster. If you punch after they are gone. Garcia will catch Khan sooner or later. There are plenty of guys I would feel comfortable to pick against Garcia but Khan is not one of them.

All Garcia has is a left hook. Cant see Khan getting caught with that again (although he is stupid enough to do so). Dont think Garcia is naturally stronger than Khan. Would think Khan could hug his way to a victory. Id be shocked if Khan isnt a decent fav in the rematch if it was to happen.

Apparently Garcia turned down 3-4 mil for a Pac fight??? Absolute madness,.

Promo and Ron sitting in a tree :D
Obviously Primo you dont rate Khan at all. No matter who hes in against you're going to overrate his opponents chances :D

I genuinely love the comeback Silks, I really do.;D and I'm honoured that you read all my other posts.;)
As for "Overrating his opponents chances", we're talking about Garcia here, a man who knocked Khan out in 4 rounds. How can you possibly overrate a guy like that's chances?
Moreover, it's his gameplan that makes it entirely possible , maybe even probable that the same thing could happen again!
It was very simple , counteracting Khan's speed (albeit inaccurate and ineffective) with "same time" counter hooks. Garcia knew Khan couldn't hurt him and he knew that some time in the fight he would connect.
Khan's only chance of winning against Garcia and almost anybody else at World level for that matter, is to pitter patter his way to a 12 round points win. But in order to do that , he has to avoid getting plugged for 12 rounds. I honestly think that technically Khan is incapable of this, and nothing in the last few years has convinced me of anything contrary to that opinion.
In a nutshell mate, I think it is YOU that is guilty of overrating Khan.

Let's see if it happens first mate. After all , Khan was offered a shot at Garcia's title last out and swerved it.
If it comes off, I would gladly have a bet on it.;D

Ill take any action going too. Its a close fight but Khan is definitely favorite in my mind.

Re: Pac coming out of "retirement"
Well he knew the cut was very bad and a few more shots from Khan on it could have caused the fight to be stopped so I doubt he was acting patient in there and knew hed land eventually.

Every bet here is a friendly bet. Even money bet with money back if a draw. You will get better with the bookies though.

I'm more than happy to have a fun , friendly , even money bet with you bud. And if the prices are good, I might have one in the bookies as well.

Id say youll get between 6/4 and 7/4 with the bookies on Garcia.
