That's a shame and a waste of Pacs time. Vargas is just a filler fight and maybe another year to fight Crawford. That's not wise. Good for his pocket, but it's a bit of a con job.

Read that Mikey Garcia and Broner turned down a Pacquaio fight. Broner wanted too much money n my guess is Mikey did too. Also read Crawford wanted the fight at 140 only. This was all from Boxinghype on inatagram.

I won't pay to watch it. What made Pac intriguing to me (and most fans) was the consistent level of opposition he was fighting. No one wants to pay money to watch him blow out Algieri, Vargas...etc. If/when he fights Mikey Garcia, Crawford, Thurman, Canelo...etc., I will gladly shell out some money to watch.
Well, it could be worse . at least it's for a World Title, albeit one that Pac held for years. I suppose if people thought Vargas was a good opponent for Brook, then he's a good opponent for Pac.
I don't blame people if they can't be bothered with the PPV.
I called this on the Crawford thread long ago. Manny built his name on good match ups. Why would he suddenly start taking challenging stylistic fights?
Yea damn, I thought if Pac was retiring anyways Arum might make the Crawford thing happen, this is a nothing fight. Vargas is crap to watch and has no punch, I wouldn't have cared to see him fight Brook either.
They should not make this PPV and try and win back the fans for the next one against Crawford.

JMM gave Manny Hell every time they fought, and manny fought him four times!!! You can say you think Crawford has the style to beat Manny, and you are likely correct. It was Vargas for either Manny or Crawford and still think Crawford gets winner Manny when Crawford debuts at welter for name and showcase trinket. I think for a guy disputing his own commitment and retirement in a years time this is a dumb fight for Manny where he can only hope to stay warm and not be out hustled and look age in a stinker. I bet that watching Arum gnaw on over cooked ribs is as terrifying as watching him cling onto some fighters last gasp of fame.
Is it true that HBO not only dropped this fight as well as contractual rights to Pacquiao?

Amazing how quick the mighty fall. The fight nobody wants without a home. HBO is in the poor house now. Manny got lucky being handed third Bradley fight on ppv, another few really needed at all. If Manny and Arum went Crawford, seriously doubt HBO would refuse to pick it up.
