I called this on the Crawford thread long ago. Manny built his name on good match ups. Why would he suddenly start taking challenging stylistic fights?

Yea damn, I thought if Pac was retiring anyways Arum might make the Crawford thing happen, this is a nothing fight. Vargas is crap to watch and has no punch, I wouldn't have cared to see him fight Brook either.

They should not make this PPV and try and win back the fans for the next one against Crawford.

When Arum wants to cash in Manny and entice Crawford to a long term contract with him then the fight will happen some time next year.

He needs to focus on his political career has been interrupted.
He needs to make Arum as much money as possible.

Youre saying JMM was a hard stylistic match up for Manny Neither were Barrera, Morales or Cotto Bradley and Hatton were stylistic push overs? Don't think I could disagree more.

Which moves with any quickness and looks to counter a lunging fighter? It's fine if you disagree, you're simply wrong. It happens with everyone.

Those are great fighters you list. None do what Crawford does. They might ALL be better than Crawford. But it doesn't change the facts.

Koncz said straight up when asked why they didn't choose Crawford. No hemming, no hawing "the style". The facts, the direct quotes support me. And looking at these is why I could read articles about how Manny was going to fight Crawford and say it wasn't going to happen. I didn't need to wait until things happened because history showed me what would happen.

JMM gave Manny Hell every time they fought, and manny fought him four times!!! You can say you think Crawford has the style to beat Manny, and you are likely correct. When you say Manny dodged fighters who gave him problems stylistically, you're just plain wrong. JMM had his number and Manny fought him the most.

It was Vargas for either Manny or Crawford and still think Crawford gets winner Manny when Crawford debuts at welter for name and showcase trinket. I think for a guy disputing his own commitment and retirement in a years time this is a dumb fight for Manny where he can only hope to stay warm and not be out hustled and look age in a stinker. I bet that watching Arum gnaw on over cooked ribs is as terrifying as watching him cling onto some fighters last gasp of fame.

Is it true that HBO not only dropped this fight as well as contractual rights to Pacquiao?

Hysterical, but true.... right from the shyster's mouth.
Bob Arum mentions ESPN, Turner and Showtime to possibly carry Pacquiao - Ring TV
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

PAC never faced a fighter with good lateral movemen until he faced Mayweather. Looking for the young undefeated athletic fighter with power and he never appeared on Pac's resume. Avoided Edwin Valero early and now Crawford.

As Floyd fans would say, "This motherfucking yellow chump, avoided Money May for years and wouldn't fight black fighters. Now he's avoiding Crawford another black fighter. Motherfucker better stay out of the fight game. Motherfucker should go back to making sushi rolls and shit."
