Who in your opinion has the better resume?
Both fighters are over-protected. But Garcia has the better resume. After Porter all Thurman has is Diego Chaves who picked up the fight on a short notice. Both fighters are technically sound and have good punching technique, so in terms of skill they are equally matched. Though, I think Garcia ends up winning if they both end up fighting.
Garcia has way better resume thurman is overrated and Garcia is underrated and I expect Garcia to beat ThurmanQuote:

Garcia hasn't had a real fight in over 3 years, since he fought Lucas Matthysse! Since then, it's been all tune-ups, or what he thought were going to be tune ups, because I know he struggled with a few of them lol! ;D
I wouldn't call Guerrero Pauli and perterson all tune ups just my opinion. That's all solid opponents in last 18months wouldn't even argue with anyone who wanted to call them world class. Last nights fight was a tune up but that's fine he's been out almost a year and wanted a few real rounds before ThurmanQuote:

Garcia has the better resume for sure. I feel like he usually pulls out the win too so I'm going to pick him to win. Garcia has a problem with fighters who pressure him and Thurman is a one punch at a time kind of fighter. Garcia will be able to time him.
I am the first one to say that Garcia has been fighting bums lately but he has had some decent fights. The one fight that he doesn't get enough credit for is Herrera. Herrera is a good boxer and basically all his losses have been controversial.
I guarantee you Thurman beats Garcia.
It is hard to give him credit for what was arguably a robbery vs Herrera though.Quote:

Garcia has the better CV but Thurman is the better fighter. This is the fight Thurman wants, not the fight Garcia wants. I think Thurman is overrated but still far better than Garcia.
Neither one wants any of Spence.
Think both are a bit overrated. Garcia is lucky to to be undefeated after a couple of close/disputed wins, and Thurman ha all he could handle with Porter and hasn't looked that great since raising his level of competition. That being said, this will be an interesting fight if/when it happens. Thurman is the bigger man and seems to have a little more power and athleticism/speed than Garcia. Danny is the more fundamentally sound fighter from what I've seen, and is "that guy" who fights up or down to his level of competition. Not ready to make my pick, but leaning towards Thurman due to his natural size and speed advantage.
Agree that Spence beats both.

I really like the fight and I would love it if Pacquiao or Mayweather took on the winner.
Garcia had 2 rough fights where he won Majority Decisions. 1 vs Lamont Peterson and the other vs Mauricio Herrera who took the fight on short notice. Danny also had a Split Decision vs Kendall Holt. To stop an old Morales doesn't do much for me, stopping Khan is good, a decision win over Guerrero is good, and he should have stopped Nate Campbell.
Thurman has some good fights. He beat Guerrero as well, he stopped guys he should have: Quintana, Soto Karas, Julio Diaz, and Collazo those guys aren't easy picking, they are crafty and tough.
I just want to see both fighters test themselves, push each other to the breaking point and I hope they are evenly matched and if we the boxing fans are lucky this will be a series of great fights.
