N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
This card deserves a mention. 3 Japanese prospects all in title fights.
Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (35-2, 21) vs Ryota Murata (12-0, 9) for the vacant WBA Middleweight title.
WBC Light Flyweight champion Ganigan Lopez (28-6, 17) vs Ken Shiro (9-0, 5).
WBC Flyweight champion Juan Hernandez Navarrete (34-2, 25) vs Daigo Higa (12-0, 12).
The Navarrette/ Higa fight should be awesome. Brilliant card!

Terrific card.
Higa looks an awesome prospect. A relentless two fisted clumping machine with sparko power to body and head. He doesn't move or put his combo's together as gracefully as Chocolatito but he reminds me of him in patches - the high guard, swaying from the hips lightening combos.
No easy record padders or "easy" title shots/defences for top Japanese prospects. Great for the fans.

That is cool, I was hoping murata would take a step up in class as he is not a young guy anymore(well 31) and didn't seem to be making a lot of progress with the fights he was taking on, hassan n'dam is certainly a pretty good step up and has a good chance of victory too, I like murata but I don't think he is super talented, it will make for a good match up for sure.

Navarette is up there with Crawford in terms of being effective with switch stances. One of the best. He is quick with a lot of skill. Higa is not as graceful but very destructive. They match up well.

Navarrete missed weight. Title on the line for Higa only.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Ken Shiro squeaked by Ganigan Lopez with a razor thin majroty decision. 115-113 x2, 114-114.
Daigo Higa destroyed Juan Navarette in the 6th. Dropping him 3 times in the last round. Higa is a bad little man!

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Hassan won the 1st round. Moving nicely and boxing well. Murata barely threw anything and just followed him around.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
N'Jikam looks really good. Loose and using his jab to set up his shoots. Murata just not active enough. They both trade with 30 seconds to go in the round with N'Jikam getting the better of it.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
The 3rd was closer with Murata starting to open up more. Trying to find a home for his right. He is just getting outworked tho. 3-0.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Both guys landing some hurtful bodyshots in the 4th. N'Jikam landed a solid uppercut. Murata land a straight right that drops N'Jikam with about 20 seconds to go. He gets back up. Another right hurts him. He goes down again but the ref rules it a slip. N'Jikam makes it out of the round.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Excellent 5th. Murata comes out looking for the finish. N'Jikam ain't having none of it. Both guys trading big shots throughout. A right sends N'Jkam off balance into the ropes with 20 seconds to go again. Not sure if he was hurt. Even round.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Another good round. Murata knows he can hurt him now but N'Jikam ain't backing off. Murata landing with more frequency now. A right seems to hurt N'Jikam at the 2 minute mark but he fights back. Murata round.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
N'Jikam basically took the round off. Just moving and only using the jab to keep Murata at bay. Another right seems to hurt N'Jkam but he fights back again. N'Jkam opens up in the last 30 seconds but I don't think it's enough to steal the round.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
N'Jkam using lots of movement in the 8th going backwards and not throwing much. Murata is slightly more active but is landing the better shots. Most of what N'Jkam is throwing is blocked. Murata round.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
A closer round. Murata's jab is solid and hurtful, directing N'Jkam where he wants him. M'Jkam is more active but not really landing. Murata on the cleaner work.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Battle of the jabs in the 10th and Murata's is actually doing damage. Add in the clean rights and it's hard to give round to N'Jkam who is moving and not landing clean.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Not much done by either guy in the 1st 2 minutes of the 11th. N'Jkam more active but Murata with the cleaner work again.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Murata stalking him in the 12th. N'Jkam more active again but his shots are falling short or landing on the gloves. Murata doing better work for the most part.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
I'd say about 117-111 Murata.
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Couldn't understand the scores but they gave it to N'Jkam. Unbelievable!

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
How does the home fighter get robbed that bad?
-
Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
I hate "robbery" moaners but that's the worst live robbery i've ever seen. I genuinely sucked breath when N'Dam's arm was raised.
Watched the whole fight from round 3 with zero sound, I never even thought the majority of rounds were in doubt, Murata always was in control. Two knockdowns for gawd sake. I was thinking how amazing N'Dam is to constantly be rocked yet never out. Absolute shocker.

Thanks mate. Luckily I stumbled across it in time.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
I'm probably going to get flack for this, but Murata has no one to blame but himself for this robbery. He didn't let his hands go enough.

Did you have N'Jikam winning? I'd be interested to see your score.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Gilberto Mendoza (WBA) has ordered an immediate rematch, he publicly apologised and called it a disgrace, even offered his scorecard - Murata 117-110

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Rematch today with the same Japanese undercard champs.
The vicious Daigo Higa is against a Frenchman that lost against Ashley Sexton (Brit level fighter) and Ken Shiro-Pedro Guevara looks 50-50 on paper.
Bookies not even priced up "method of victory" market. Bores.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
They aired this at 7:15 am on ESPN2 but nodded out I at the 19 hours awake mark :p. Looks like Murata stopped N'Dam on his stool after 7th. Murata was comfortably ahead on cards at time.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
A wrong was righted (is that English?).
Murata is a great addition to middleweight, only had 14 fights too, improved big from the last fight.

Re: N'Jikam/ Murata, Lopez/ Shiro, Navarette/ Higa World Title Triple Header May 20th
Murata looked awesome. He should be matched against top guys from here on out I hope.
The Shiro fight was razor thin. Poor Guevara got to feel for him.
Higa is a brute.
